My tempo runs are normally in the 8:30 pace range. My marathon pace is 9:30-9:40min/mile. Would you recommend Endorphin Pro 3 over this for marathon racing?

Yup! 👍🏼 endorphin pro 3 is more responsive, comfortable and also very light.

this is my fav. shoes. you really need to be a quick runner for this shoes to be responsive. vaporfly’s are okay with slow and faster pace. not this one. it only responds for quicker paces. you might appreciate it in your faster workouts/intervals.

I totally agree with you 👍🏼 Talking about 5 min low per mile pace because at 5:40ish / mile still feels a bit sloppy. They feel fine for slower paces but just feel kind of flat and huge.

Yep agreed, v2 of metaspeed the plate isn’t aggressive enough the v1 that’s why. I normally run 6.30 a mile to 7.10 a mile an is spot on for those speeds, anything below 7.30 forget it this shoes isn’t working for you. On my tempo speed runs I’ve done 5.50 pace on 400 an 600 meters an the shoe comes alive 🚀

Interesting as I had a completely different experience. My Marathon pace is 4:30/km or 7:30/Mile. Tried the Alpha and Vaporflys before settling on the MSS+ which just felt so much more comfortable, even at slower paces. Couldn't deal with the Arch in the Alpha fly2 and although the vaporflys are arguably faster, they were destroying my feet and I could barely run after the half way mark (21km). Probably not important on race day but I also hated how loud the alpha and vaporflys were compared to the MSS+

It's kind of hard for me to describe how a felt running in them. They felt good whatever pace you run but Im just not getting that smooth sensation if I was not running fast. What I was noticing a lot was the wideness of the shoe.

I like but dont love Metaspeed SKY. For they are made for fast runners. For average runners, like me, I miss more cushioning, as I feel in Alphafly, Vaporfly, Mizuno Pro and Adios Pro. To tell the truth I even prefer Asics Superblast (the best plateless shoes ever!!!) to Metaspeed Sky plus. Great video.

That is how I feel about this shoe too👍🏼

I was thinking of buying this shoe lately because it covers any type of arch from low to high. Currently using my Saucony endorphin speed 3 and have already gone beyond 300 km. I was thinking of an alternative such as Asics Magic Speed 2, and Asics Metaspeed Sky.. though I'm still checking other option like Adios Pro 3.

Overall the shoe is really good but just lacking of responsiveness for me. Endorphin pro 3 is better option for me than this one.

@@JonExplores I did try endorphin pro 3, but my arch aches because it was unable to land well on a flat-footed running shoes.

super solid take on this shoe.., your review lets me know, its not for me either. you are much faster than me.., and I will just stick with my endo speed 1, as my plated shoe. I feel fast in that.

I love the endorphin shoes 👍🏼 They are great shoes! Right now, Im enjoying the endorphin speed 2s in my training runs.

I think your comments about your experiences with the carbon plated shoes show exactly what the issues the running shoe makers are having with designing a shoe for a wide range of runners. A few years from now, really serious runners might be going to a lab that can match their running mechanics to a racing shoe with much more optimal characteristics. But before any runner can get maximum spring from the carbon plate, they need to perfect the heel lock and figure out a way to keep the toe from wearing out where the real launch would happen. For now, we are stuck with overpadded midsoles and overcurved carbon plates. Basically nerfed elf slippers and false propaganda that the rocker in front propels you forward. Nonsense.

Sounds like a horse’s hooves. 😂 I have the Edge+ and I like it better than the Sky+: snappier and more stable.

I was really debating between Sky + or Edge +. I ended up going with sky + because I’m a stride runner and also they said edge + is just really narrow. Now, that you said that I think I like the edge + over the sky + overall.
