- More walls - because you can never have too many. This is more a pre-fab wall; the premise being that it;s quick to assemble and can be glitched into place wherever.

I like the addition of some background music to these videos. Really makes them relaxing and easy to listen to with your commentary. Too many of these build channels put this hyperactive techno bollocks in and it really puts me off the video because they don't even talk about what they're doing...

I know you've said you wouldn't use the place-anywhere mod but... when you drop a junk item; you can disable it's physics so settlers don't knock it down.

Love your stuff but just a question I'm going to try myself shortly but couldn't you put down concrete walls like real low and then double stack those walls, cause I know you can then slap the warehouse walls on top of the concrete. wouldn't that have been easier?? idk you seem to do this pretty fast but just thinking that may save you some time...
What will you be doing inside the big concrete building? I was thinking about making it some kind of really cool themed bar but I never got around to it
This looks really nice. I gave up on building wall after I learn how settlement attack works.
Walls have helped me a lot, used to end up spawning at a settlement and losing a bunch of health while the game loaded lol
When you select a group of items like selecting the whole wall, how do you slowly adjust it down to fit in the ground with PC controls?
Hey, keep up the excellent work. I'm really hoping when PS4 mod support comes out that it's possible too transfer some of your completed settlement creations to our own games via mods. I've been searching the Xbox One version mods and I've noticed that for whatever reason nobody made pre-made settlements.
It's strange, because it must be possible since the ones available that do revamp/overhaul existing settlements, only smooth out terrain, delete/fix buildings and perhaps add some simple prefabs in their place for easier building, but they never go far as, to create lore friendly settlements for when you don't feel like building a place.
Do you know anything about if that type of content is possible? I think if it is, the demand for lore friendly pre made settlements with the same quality as your builds might be a one of the more popular mods on PS4 and even Xbox.

Last I checked he doesn't I recommended he tried it awhile back since no other youtubers really seem to know what to do with it
I was thinking you could put tall cage stacks in between the walls to fill them in and keep it from looking so empty.

Have you seen the stone wall PS4 mod? Because I could see that working in your skyrim build
Here's a different idea for you. You could place a train car, or two attached to your walls to provide homes for guards, or sheltered guard posts. As for Mods check out Thematic and Practical if its not on Bethesda net send the Author a Pm on Nexus. It's one you'll like for sure.

A bit off topic here. Just completed Far harbour, gone round every area and cleared as much as possible yet I still haven't unlocked any of the settlement structures. Any ideas as to why?
Davey, you should totally get Homemaker for decoration. I would suggest a ' place anywhere ' mod, though you seem to have a get-around. Also, there are some mods that help make the game more immersive (e.g. Survival mods, Realistic Damage, Armor on top of any clothing - and even a few weapons from previous Fallout games)!
I mention this, because I am currently trying my hand at Survival (not a single death!). I play pretty campy - e.g. I only go out to scavenge for supplies, most of the time I build at Sanctuary or go hunting. I dunno, I guess I'd like to watch a Let's Play series...

In my opinion, u should've used the large doors for the main gate. This way the Brahmin won't get stuck on the doorway
Tried to build myself one of these prefab walls in Oberland Station. But when i try to sink it down, with the pillar select all glitch, the whole damn thing turns red. Any thoughts?

hi davie, Xbox player here. Recently started a moded bob the builder playthrough. and some mods i suggest if they come to PS4:
Workshop Rearranged - rearranges workshop to make a bit more sense and have things easier to find, also adds a lot of stuff to build with
The Master Plan - adds a menu for all the guys other mods including:
Vanilla extended - adds more stuff to the building system that fit in the world
pipes galore - adds pipes to the settlement system, better that it seems
G2M - adds a lot more stuff to build with, all very modular and awesome basically
all mods above are snap-able and are awesome
other mods i have are just convenience mods. Hope this helps
Davey, what happened that your pillar select doesn't even highlight the other item sometimes? And does that do anything beneficial? I know that it does that with the junk fences and rug glitch, but I've never seen it with pillars.
If you put a item on a rug and then use the pillar on the rug the item won't get highlighted adn basically no longer physically exist until you place it

You said you wouldn't use the Place Anywhere mod, but I'd recommend you at least try it. It's not perfect, but for where the rug glitch/pillar glitch don't work, it's really useful. There are still times that Place Anywhere doesn't actually let you place anywhere - I still use the pillar glitch a lot to sink things into the ground. But the whole point I'm trying to make, is that it's quite a useful mod, don't write it off!

Don't work? I've never had that not work for me, long as the item is properly placed onto the rug adn the rug does not collide with another rug under the ground you're typically fine.

Skyrim is great for mods in that regard. I you feel like the game is missing something, search it on the Nexus and you usually find three different projects have already all done the thing you wanted.

Hey Davey you should try out the more guard outpost mod if they bring it to PS4. On PC it's a mod that makes guard posts that look like rugs or chairs or whatever. Anyway love the videos keep it up!

There's a mod called FreeMaker already up on Bethesda.net that lets you "build" settlement materials & shipments for free at any Chem Station.
Can't you use a terminal to repeatedly launch the fireworks at set intervals and control the weather for an entire vid?
+The Insane Shecklador yes but that would be like 100 fireworks for the whole recording.
This is what mods are actually good for, for y'all builders. I don't think anyone will judge you for getting free resources to keep the weather nice.
Building this wall at Red Rocket has been a bitch for me. I'm trying to merge it with the hedge so it looks nice, but half the time the walls won't clip and all that.

Hi Davey! I have enjoyed watching your videos for almost a year now. You got me interested in settlement building in the first place and your videos were very helpful. For this I want to thank you. Saw a picture on reddit the other day of a small scrappy shack that someone had built, and he used white picket fences in certain areas to great effect. You ought to give it a try sometime.

nah - there's nothing really new to say about a game that's five years old, other that it's been polished up.
In Fallout 3 and New Vegas there was a mod called Real Time Settler which let you built settlements like you can in Fallout 4. As far as I know there is something similair in Skyrim. If that mod or something like it comes to PS4 for Skyrim would consider it then?
