Hey Prince, I dont know because I haven't diagnosed you . What I recommend you do if you want to benefit from your investment, is to go to my website auteltech.co.za and book the diagnostic tool consultation. Then I can give you a professional tool package specific to your needs. If you want dont require that much value then you can ask your supplier who you want to purchase from.
I have a remote starter don't know if they hotwire the transponder chip to the remote starter module. But i cannot register the working key that i erase from the ecu or the immo I know when i reset the immo the security light stay solid red
Hello Curtis, very good videos, very professional. I tell you that Autel im608 has been lagging behind with its performance lately for more than six months. I have tried to program a Smart key for units of the GM group, FDCAN protocol, before it did not even communicate now after this time and several updates I manage to communicate but it gives me a 62-digit code which asks me to calculate it to obtain 20 digits I called technical support and they simply told me that it was not going to work yet, do you know any solution to be able to access this 20-digit pincode with Autel or it will simply continue without thanks for your time and for your videos.
Are the new recalls Hyundai and Kia are performing in the USA to prevent the cars from being stolen as easily, going to create new under lying issues for adding a key or all keys lost?
i just saw you on youtube and wanted to ask you a question .. is there any way to see who was using a stolen autel scanner ??? I purchased one from you around 4 or 5 years agonand it was stolen when someone broke into a house that i was renting a couple of years ago ... I would appreciate any info that you can tell me .. Thank you ...
Why would you not call autel and give them the serial number and erase all data and block the use of it? As soon as someone would connect to the internet, the autel would just freeze and not work again. Safety number one. And 5 years later, there are people stealing cars under your account name 😅.......
Great question. This is a rule of thumb for all makes and modules. I can count on my fingers the amounts of times I had my clients had this same issue and all I did was clear the codes and run the immo procedure again then it worked.
Hey Curtis. It would be very informative to see a case of Toyota smart box resync. Using im508/608 I own a autel im 508 I called tech support and they told me that its supported. The only options I see are id code box reset. Which of course has to be followed up with a resync via obdII of the ecu/esl When I asked tech support if the ID code box was the same thing as the smart box. I was told yes. So I assumed I'd be able to use that ID code box procedure. However I believe tech support made a mistake when they told me yes. As the diagram to connect on bench to the "ID code box" appears to be a different module than the "smart box" Can you confirm?
At the end shouldnt it have said 2 keys were programmed? earlier on the video it said 1 key was already programmed and I thought you added a 2nd key. no? Thanks
Hi,I have im608pro and I contact support service bat I don't have any answer. I can't read ecu crd3.3 Mercedes-Benz, add key eis fail read and no work nothing. What can I do?
HI John. Did you try calling them directly. Try doing that first . I can look into your matter but I charge for this service. Emailing them wont work as they get 1000s per day and they dont have enough tech support to go through them all.
From my understanding he wasnt able to pull the pin because the ECU had non immo related faults on the ECU. When he attempted to purchase the PIN code from the third party website and insert it into the autel, the system rejected it because of the fault code in the ECU. Once I deleted the fault code in the ECU all the pre condition were met. I hope this helps
HI Doug, The MS909 does have some key coding on it but it doesnt have as much as the im608 . Im not 100 percent sure if it will have this function on it but ill only know 100 percent if I ask my engineer with the VIn.
I have a Matrix 2009. I have a working key, i bought an aftermarket key and couldnt register the key. What i did i reset all transponders keys.. lost all keys. Now the key that used to start the car does not work. I did a reset immo but failed.. but funny the car start . One day i was replacing all my motor mount but had to disconnect the battery. Once connected.. the car didnt start.. repeat the same step reset immo.. still says failed but the car start
I have a remote starter don't know if they hotwire the transponder chip to the remote starter module. But i cannot register the working key that i erase from the ecu or the immo I know when i reset the immo the security light stay solid red
So you should do a system, scan and clear any codes that are immobilizer related. But, the code that was showing was for a manifold pressure, which is no relation to the immobilizer. Therefore, he should have no problem obtaining the pin number. The system said that all keys will need to be relearned. You use the add a Q function, but ended up only with one key, which is what you had to begin with. ? That means to me the only thing that happened was the vehicle relearn the key that it already had.. I like your videos and everything I learned with this one left me even more confused ?
HI Will. You need to clear Non immobilizer related fault codes. To clear up the confusion, the process of adding a key and doing an all keys lost is virtually the same sequence. The sequence deleted all they keys ( including the original key that was malfunctioning) and it added the new key to the vehicle. The client just wanted the car to start and he did not care about the original key. I hope this makes sense
The biggest failure of the IM608 is having to be connected to internet to program a key. That's dumb. What about the people who work in rural areas that don't have wifi or even cell reception? There is absolutely no need for a programmer to be connected to the internet to program a 2006 F-150, for example. Very dumb move on Autel's part.
I agree not only that it looks like you must have a valid subscription to do some of these procedures. They are slowly making us rely on the subscription and wi fi in order for it to work. Some goes with everything else in our world today.
@Autel Consultancy totally agree, it's all about who has control of people and the biggest firms with the most money can do what ever they want and get away with it. But if you research the need to have wifi you would know it only needs to be powered on and sign in then you can go underground with no wifi and program your key, it's only the initial start up, but you still need internet service for the online calculations. But I go without wifi service or internet as long as I log in prior and add and do akl to basic cars like a honda. Hope that's makes sense and helps out.
That's crazy how the kia boys would steal the kia in 1 min but we the professionals struggling to add a key😂
Great video. Thank you
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us learners Mr. Harden 👌.
Great tutorial 💯
I will have to keep that in mind ... Good video very informative .....
Great work Curtis, keep making more videos!
thank you sir, would the im 508 work also.?
Good day bro, Autel im508pro and im608 pro which one is the best tool, I'm a new guy I now want to start a scanner.

Great video, Thanks! Is this problem with codes in the ECM unique to Kia or is this on all makes?

Hi,yes I tried to contact and I wait. Many thanks.
Kurt can autel im608proii get the pin code without going through a 3rd party??
The Autel can get the pin but there are times that I cant so ill give my clients some alternative options just in case
Superb sir
Have you ever had a case when the Autel Universal key generated is on a different frequency to the actual car? 315MHz vs 433MHz
It would’ve been informative to know why your client wasn’t able to pull the pin and why he wasn’t able to add a key with the 3rd party pin.

With all the kia's that they have been stealing, you would think that you could add a key by taking out your USB plug and using that... ;)
