That’s definitely an Uber drivers car. Love my Prius. Still have the original hybrid battery and I’m at 218k right now. Drives just like when I bought it 5 years ago with 75k miles
i'm at 284,00 miles on my original hybrid battery. Starting to get a bit worried though.. i can sit for maybe 5 mins in the parking lot with no ac or lights before engine kicks on.
Yup! i owned two, 2nd generation Prius, I drive for uber. My first 3rd generation Prius lasted me 280000 miles and got around 30 MPG. Trust me, there're a lot of RUclipsRS lying about high miles/ high MPG Prius to get CLICKS. It's a CLICKBAIT
@@dohandavid have you experienced an engine knocking due to head gasket on the Gen3 prius?
Yup! You're not lying like some of these fools, lying to get clicks/views. I have 2015 toyota prius with 135000 miles, I love my prius so much I even named it. It's KUMECHA and I'm turning it into a ROLLING MAN'S CAVE. I've been working hard and almost ready to introduce to RUclips. People will be shock what I have done with my Prius/KUMECHA when I show it on RUclips. I'm not bluffing, get ready. KUMECHA means "a car from my dream" in Korean.
What grade oil you put in .
This car is more environmentally friendly than lots of EVs which may need to retire on half of its mileage.
For all of those who wanted to see the mileage, go to 8:51. As he is panning around the interior of the car, the dash and the mileage shows up, and indeed, it does in fact say 546,921 miles.
I absolutely love the reliability of a Toyota.
Scooped up a 2012 Prius with 79k miles for $11k.
I look forward to putting some miles on that thing!
That's an amazing deal!
Once it goes past 100k, start monitoring the oil level every week. They had some type of piston ring problem or something that made the gen 3 burn oil. The good thing about it is all you have to do is put more oil in it when it needs it but your car can still go another 400k miles. Also change the transmission fluid before 100k and clean your hybrid battery fan every 3 years. You might want to have your intake manifold cleaned out along with the egr at around 100 to 120k miles.
They had a valve cover gasket problem, not piston ring problem, with some of the engines.
@@conchd The piston rings on the gen 3 Prius were an issue. There's even different piston rings on the 2015 compared to the previous years. Possibly new pistons too for the 2015. Here's a video explaining why some Toyotas burn oil ruclips.net/video/v4JS7PybV2k/видео.html

My sister's has over 550k. I had 88 Toyota Celica that had nearly 400k on it..
What year Prius?
And is everything all original on it?
Take care
Yup, we are in the same ballpark for some of our rentals
I’m at 785,000 I love my Prius
Pic! I've never seen one that high
I have a 2015 Prius with 130k miles. I'm hoping to get 500k miles on it. I keep up with the maintenance religiously.
Religiously 😂😂😂,that's funny
I had same until a lady crashed into me . Mine went over 300k easy just change the water pump at 150k miles and use Mobil 1 synthetic runs forever. Use to even take camping and ran AC all night on hot nights. They make fun of prius because they dont want you in one lol 😂
Well its a Toyota so that's not something out of the ordinary. I have about 250k miles on my Toyota.
Well, what yr is your 250k?? This have twice that
@@kennyplay5982 And what’s your point??? I’m stating Toyota’s are well built and they can go hundreds of thousands of miles as mine. Mine is a 2008 and it doesn’t matter the year they are well built vehicles. If you think my comment was trying put down his vehicle or claims then your a clown.
I have 309, 845 right this second on my 2007 Toyota prius lol
@@jessj.jesusistheonlyway Hell yah that's what I'm talking about! Yota power!😆
@@jessj.jesusistheonlyway how has the maintenance been on your 300k prius? I’m guessing no issues?
Love my 2012, which I bought new. Mine "only" has 151,000 on it, but I should mention the last 30k-40k were driven by my two teenage kids when I handed the car down to them. Now of course it looks like it's been used as a bumper car for years, but still runs fantastic, despite the abuse they no doubt heaped upon it.
P.S. I also taught both kids how to drive in that car.
I definitely want to know if it hit 600k!???
My RX400h was 17 years old with 240000 miles. Killed by a rat who chewed the hybrid temperature sensor. No shop wanted the repair done apart from Lexus. The cost of repair was £6000 from Lexus. Opted for a scrap deal against a new UX.
Many cars built in the aughts were very well made. Don’t forget the Ford Crown Victoria with a million miles, all original engine and transmission.
Food delivery driver who knows/likes to work on their own cars is my guess lol. I say that cause I do that myself. I over maintain it so that it can handle the abuse I put it through. When you work hard and are focused, for 8-10 hrs a day driving around through all types of streets, it's like putting your car through Nürburgring every single day. On avg I drive about 150-200 miles a day. So my guess is he's someone like me. Some people work a lot more than me. but yeah I think this is just a food delivery driver who likes working on cars and treated it like a business.
when you look at it like that, selling the car to you, is part of his business. and it's probably extremely well taken care of if he works on his cars like I do. If he's anything like me, the way I look at it is I get to put my hobby to practical use.
Since I'm a car enthusiast, this is one way for me to do what I love and make a living off of it. It isn't much but it beats working in an office, which is what I did for 12 years before doing this. if it was packages, the trunk wouldn't look so new and the seats wouldn't either. If there were bags there it's whole life, then it WOULD look that new. The foam is also perfect which means there was never really any weight. all adds up to be a food delivery driver in my eyes :p
Some dude told.me he had one with 800,000 miles he was an Uber driver, also had another with 400,00
Chad is such a smooth talker, he could sell ice to an Eskimo. Nice job!
Nice job for him but the Eskimo is out what he paid for the ice when couldamjust went out and took a brick off his igloo!
Nice video! Im wondering what mileage when he change the hybrid battery. I have a 2021 i already put 239k miles on it
Did you replace your spark plugs I’m at 141k runs great wondering when to replace them
@@ashleyprincess1253 I replace mine every 100k miles
This is the same car I have. I got it. new and it has 57K on it. I absolutely love it. The car's interior is designed around you and makes you feel snug. I once had to rent a kia and that felt like sitting in a box. I got almost 600 miles on one 10 gallon tank driving 65 miles an hour. And gas at the time as 2.36 a gallon. The drive is super smooth comfortable. When I need to put gas in it I find myself standing at the pump not being able to remember the last time I was at a gas station. Plus the looks of it makes it still seem like a modern new car. The one big down side: Women hate them. Not one woman has given me the eye this car. Oh also you can't exactly peel out. hahaha.
11 K with 500k miles? I’ll pass. You can get a brand new one for 25K.
I got 2010 Prius with 126000 km for 12750 CAD. I got a very good deal. This thing hold their value.
you cant get a brand new prius for 25k! Show me one and ill buy it!
I def can't get a new one for that price but also 10k for double moon milage is also a bit crazy and he's been drinking too much cool aid 🤣🤣
@@emranhossain893 Is your car still all right? I have the same budget as you, and I wonder if 10-15k will still keep it running properly (including hybrid battery)
@@jasontsang4369 Its running perfectly.
My car has 123K. It's a 2012 Mazda3 that I've had for just under four months now and it runs perfectly!
$11,000?? Wow that is rude. Dealer paid $5k TOPS
2016 with 182k runs like new thank god
Drove my Porsche out. This video makes me miss my own Prius 2016 at home.
@The Car Care Nut will go nuts to have the chance to look this car over.
Way overpriced
Be nice if u opened the hood. Look down oil fill. Coolant. Brake fluid. Nice car.
Toyota!, the most noble and honorable car manufacturer, thank God for them it's only Toyota and Honda that's left in the world of good service to their customers and value for your money thank God they don't fall for every quackery and gimmickry in the business God bless Toyota!.❤
Wonder if a RAV4 hybrid will last this long with minimal repairs
@Jimmy Smithers some are still built in Japan
@Jimmy Smithers funny mine and my colleagues rav4 is from Japan. Purchased here in Chicago. Do more research before commenting
@jimmysmithers5526 Dude, there are hybrids sold in USA and built in Japan.
I bought a Toyota Prius 2008 Generation 2 for $8425 with 75k miles on it and I hope to reach half a million miles on it. What do you guys/girls suggest me to do to reach that milestone?
change the oil frequently and normal checks on antifreeze and oil you'll be amazed how long they go.
My 2013 Prius plug-in only has 61,800 miles best Car ever ❤❤
My personal 2013 Plugin is at 265k :)
I have 2007 Camry V6 XLE with 250,000 miles. Still drives like a champ😄
Thank you for your work, appreciate it. What was the reason for not showing the dash with such an incredible odometer reading?
I think I just forgot to show it lol. Believe me it really did have that amount of mileage
Still spent 10k a year in gas. Those are crazy numbers.
Why didn't you show the mileage on your optometer?
Hard to believe...
Geez your right I did not show the actual mileage lol. Believe me it really does have it. I’ll send you and everyone a picture or link to it. Thx
It's shown, if you pause video.
Just pause it at 3:46 and use your eyeballs.
At 8:52 we can read odometer : 546921

Wow, so the owner drive about 100,000 miles per year. Was he a cross country deliver driver ?
😂😂😂
Some kind of distance delivery currier I would guess. If you break that down to a 5 day week, that’s 385 miles a day which is 6.4 hours a day at average speed of 60 mph. Had to be highway driving as inner city Uber driving would take over 13 hours a day at an average of 30 mph.
Secret of maintenance please. I drive a lot I need tips to make my Prius 2020 last upto or more than 1 million kilometres that’s my goal
Drive like ms Daisy lol

“ We don’t have a prius with this kind of mileage to compare it to, to price it.” 😉 I bet someone had a black book for the trade in value. Has our money really become so worthless that a car with no collector value north of half a million miles fetches over ten thousand dollars? Please update us with how much it actually sold for.
I have a 2017 prime with 167k
how many batteries & head gaskets?
The previous owner was probably an Uber driver
uber drivers dont even drive that much. 🤣
If the world wants to save the planet, this is the answer.
The steering wheel makes me want to cry. Feeling that my baby will wrinkle like that.
My 2013 has about 90,000 ... runs and looks like new! Avgs about 34 mpg, tho.
Just blew the head gasket on my 2012 Prius V, which gives me a new perspective on the Toyota Prius...😳
They did have head gasket problems on 3 rd generation prius but definitely fix it and keep driving it.
Definitely medical courier. Rideshare drivers don’t usually see nearly that many.
wow ,my 2008 Prius has 88k miles and driving it every day!
Indeed! My 2017 only has 85k! My 2010 had 200k in 2018 before I got my 2017.
Right my 05 has 174,000 miles and I'm putting as many miles as I can on the thing. I cant imagine doing 500k in 4 years.
The mk4 Prius is one of the best cars ever made
This is one more reason to get a Prius Gen 4.
2009 273000 engine smokes, noisy, hybrid bad is pretty much dead. Use to get 44 mpg at 106000, now 35mph ABS brake pump, drive shaft leak. Wheel bearing.
For me, any car that goes 10+ years and 150k+ miles has paid for itself
I have a 2017 prius right now with 92k, never selling it 😊
I got my 2020 brand new 2 years ago I have 158000km so far only changing oil and I changed brake only once that’s it nothing else
uber, lyft driver. 24 hr driving
@@pocitube of course stay mad keep crying
If only a Japanese person commands the same respect in America😂
One of the most powerful passport in the world, trumps the US passport by miles.
It's definitely earth friendly to buy 1 Prius because or else you'll be buying 3, 4, different other crappy car causing 5 times more pollution and costs
Honda & Toyota hybrid, nothing else.
10-11😂 drugs are bad
Original hybrid battery 🔋 🪫???
That’s a Toyota!!!
I owned a 4x4 1985 pick up from 2004 to 2016 and sold it when I moved. Kinda regret it. I bought that damn ugly thing with 240k for 1200 bucks.
Drove it for years doing construction work, and sold it for 1500 bucks with 380k.
Only repairs I did was breaks, tires . An alternator, a the starter and oil changes.
I miss my ugly assss truck
How much did the car sell for?
I wondering if prime have the sama quality ?
Nimh or li ion ?
How much do you want?
Let's ask the previous owner what he/she did to get 546k
Probably uber or lyft
My 2004 Prius has 122732 miles but my my fuel
Efficiency is at like 30-35mpg
Check your 12v battery, if it's bad (they do go bad) it can really mess with your fuel economy. Also look into changing your spark plugs. You can do it yourself to save you a good amount of money. There's plenty of guides on YT. It's very easy as long as you stay organized and have some basic tools. At that mileage I probably would look at cleaning my mass air flow sensor/changing air filter. There's guides for all of this as well. Be careful with the MAF sensor, treat it like it's extremely fragile and don't touch the metal parts with your hands, only let the MAF cleaner spray touch the metal. No wiping, nothing like that. Trans fluid would be another thing I'd look at changing.
That's what I would do if I were you, and I bet you will be back up to the 50s. If you've never done any of these things to your car they are overdue, IMO.
My 2012 Prius c has 117k miles, and I'm still getting 55-65 mpg. It's essential to stay up-to-date on maintenance. As long as you're doing regular maintenance, your mpg shouldn't go down.

can i sell toyota yaris verso? :)) only 376000 km done, still alive :) dual fuel system GAS+LPG :)
Can anyone advise if it's worth installing mud guards on a Prius?
The Prius comes without mud guards. Is it worth the expense of purchasing and installing OEM mudguards? I've read that it can negatively impact efficiency and reduces the ground clearance on an already lower than average car.
I'm collecting a Prius next week and curious as to what your thoughts are re. mud guards. Thanks.
Wow thats a lot of miles for a 5yr old car. Thats awesome.
I like the camery specialy the new ones and you can get a hybrid if you wanted to
It’s Toyota bro.
I bet the miles were roll back too. Lmao. Just kidding.
Definitely a female driver as well.
SHOW ME, TAKE PICTURE OF actual ODOMETER. They're so many RUclipsR lying about HIGH MILES PRIUS to get clicks/views. I hope you're not doing for CLICKBAIT like other too many RUclipsRS
It's there showing 546,921miles when you pause at 8:53.
10-11k 😂😂😂 good luck. Maybe 2k max
From the car condition from inside, I hard to believe it's run that much. Maybe owner messed with the odometer. Also toyota hybrid battery mostly needs replacement after 180-200k miles.
Toyota Prius taxi's can go 400-500k on 1st battery
Regular Car batteries and brake pads get replaced more frequently. One time versus all the time?
The batteries interestingly enough seem to deteriorate more with disuse so a car that's driven many many miles every year may go 500k+ without needing a new battery while one that's parked a lot of the time (especially in the sun) might need a new battery at 150k.
Food delivery driver is my guess.

Fake!! the multipin connector to the voltage sensor will fail long before.... corrosion then melt---
The bus harness was replaced multiple time with connector...! prove me wrong
Not with highway mileage. Cars that sit, maybe. Gen 4 is a totally different animal than previous models. Even if it did fail and was replaced, what does that have to do with it making to 500k miles? nothing...
It's been painted before
