My great grandmother babysat me for all of my formative years and we would watch this together. I was so fascinated by true crime and the theme song was what hooked me!!! The sting is chilling every time!!!! Hearing it again took me back and made me realize this is what made me the true crime and horror fanatic I am today!

@@armorpro573 Unless these are supposed to be upcoming on the new series, I think this was an imaginary episode intro. I've written some myself. Stack never did an episode on the Purple Church. Besides the strip club by that name, the Purple Church was a site in Spencer, Oklahoma where a church was torn down and the basement is supposedly a site for Satanic rituals. There's a lot of graffiti (a lot of it purple, thus the name) but no real evidence. It's private property, so some of the "hauntings" if any might be the owners trying to scare off thrill seekers.

The one about North Dakota is loosely based on a man who haunted his killer after he was murdered. The one about the teen girl being murdered by her friends was based on a real victim: Shanda Sharer. You are correct about the Purple Church. But it's stories have some merit. Either way, I wrote these as if it was the opening to Unsolved Mysteries, and you best believe you can hear Robert Stack narrating.

Always loved the theme song of Unsolved Mysteries! Had a eerie sound and give me chills when I was young! So surprised about the remastered 3 LP collection but wonder why it's not released on CD's or in digital formats? Could it be due to the loudness wars that overly compress audio on CD's and digital formats?

@@pyrobison2002 Stack never did an episode about the Purple Church. I'm guessing yeah. I've written imaginary episode intros myself, so have a lot of people, the show is that legendary. You sit there reading them and hear Stack's voice in your head.

@@armorpro573 Unless these are supposed to be upcoming on the new series, I think this was an imaginary episode intro. I've written some myself. Stack never did an episode on the Purple Church. Besides the strip club by that name, the Purple Church was a site in Spencer, Oklahoma where a church was torn down and the basement is supposedly a site for Satanic rituals. There's a lot of graffiti (a lot of it purple, thus the name) but no real evidence. It's private property, so some of the "hauntings" if any might be the owners trying to scare off thrill seekers.
@@ksol1460tv I wrote them, based on stories I've read. The one about the disappearance of teens was based on alien abductions. The one about North Dakota is loosely based on a man who haunted his killer after he was murdered. The one about the teen girl being murdered by her friends was based on a real victim: Shanda Sharer. You are correct about the Purple Church. But it's stories have some merit.
Either way, I wrote these as if it was the opening to Unsolved Mysteries, and you best believe you can hear Robert Stack narrating.
