A Mississippi Gulf Coast girl here & last Tuesday, my little bitty town on the water got 9 inches of snow. It was beautiful, romantic & RARE. With that being said, WE ARE NOT BUILT FOR SNOW!!! We are not equipped to handle it & can't deal with all that like ya'll do up North. More power to ya'll because it damn near paralyzed us down here!!!! God bless ya'll dealing with that nightmare!!!
Good Afternoon Hunter! Thank You So Much, for this Active, and Interesting Forcast!! You Always do Such an Awesome Job!! Please have a Fabulous Day, and Weekend!! ❄️❄️❄️
@@RJ-wy6cxfor sure in northern Indiana we don't get the snow like previous years. I am not complaining but when I was a kid 60 years ago snow forts and snow ball fights all winter not any more seems like when Japan had that major earthquake decades ago they said the earth axis was changed. Somthing changed in last period of time.
I love winter too. It was so fun when it snowed. I was like a kid ( I’m 50) playing in the snow. Let’s pray it snows again. It was so beautiful with the snow on the roofs and trees .
Central Maine has had minimal snow so far this year. If this keeps up, we're going to have another drought. This is great for everyone who has to shovel and drive (I do neither), but we need more snow and the resulting melt runoff. Most of the storms have passed just south of us this winter.
Thank you Hunter. We really appreciate you. Como MS here. We watch you regularly because my dad is an OTR truck driver. Any more foreseeable snow for us?
No problem. Thanks for following along with all of my daily weather forecasts. I appreciate it! I see more rain than snow for much of Mississippi moving into February. Possibly even some severe weather as the storm track lifts further north, keeping the cold air up across the Northern United States. I do think the second week of February has a chance to bring down widespread Arctic air again, but it's uncertain how far south or how intense that Arctic air will be. I'll be sure to keep you updated.
It would be nice to get snow in southern Minnesota this year. This is worse than last year. My snowmobile hasn't been able to leave the yard again, and this year isn't looking promising either.
Working on it. I'm trying to zoom in the maps so you can see the temperatures and precipitation better. I'm working on getting dates on there at some point again.
Happy early Birthday. Thanks for watching! Chattanooga, Tennessee will be getting mostly rain with these upcoming storms, but I wouldn't rule out snow, sleet, or freezing rain, especially towards the middle of February as more Arctic air moves south from Canada into the United States.
I do not understand this map. I always thought that the orange and red were the warmer temperatures and that the light blue and blue were the coldest temperatures. That’s what this map is showing.
Mostly rain. But the second week of February could bring more widespread Arctic air and that could shift the storm track further south and east and the snow could get close. I’ll keep you updated.
Thank you for the updates, but with the next one, can you make sure the dates are visible for us viewers to see. Even though I know this is just a prediction, it would still be great to get some kinda the time frame as your going furlough each model.
I do explain the day as I'm talking through the weather models. But yes, I've been trying to update my videos and livestreams to make them bigger so eventually I'll include dates and times.
I disagree with what the European model is saying that the first storm February 1st will be all rain cause up here it’s supposed to be well below freezing at that time
The weather models tend to underestimate the depth of cold air, especially this far out. So it's possible more wintry precipitation can be expected than all rain, but the temperature pattern ahead of the first storm system is milder than the previous few storms, so it's possible it has some rain and potentially even some severe weather across the Deep South.
The dates are missing from the top of the video screen, and the color codes are missing from the bottom of the screen. This makes it harder to interpret the weather maps and the timing of the storms. To further confuse matters, instead of showing bue and green to designate cold in the upper midwest (specifically MN and WI), you used magenta. Normally, I really enjoy your forcasts and find them to be easily understood. I hope that you return to using these essential visual aids in your future forcasts.
@@katharineschott9125 I understand. Sorry for the confusion. I'm trying to zoom in the maps so it's easier to see. I'm working on trying to zoom in while also showing the key to the map so you know what the colors mean.
@brianburke6350 I'm Riverhead. A little less snow on east end than my hometown of Seaford but this winter is strange. Florida pan handle just got 10". Maybe late February we get something. Stay safe pal...
Hey I have a question is it just me or would north platte nebraska have 2 chances for a snowstorm one would be next weekend and the other the first week of February
Cyclic weather happened thats’s what. I was raised there and remember snows up to my 8 year old hips! In the 70’s it started disappearing. Now the cycle is reversing. It will start snowing regularly again!
Hunter do you think newark ohio will get any big winter storms/snowstorms next month & hopefully I'll get my 7 inches of snow with a winter storm it's now been 8 & a half years & 3,265 days since I got it hopefully the storm track won't be north of my area for the rest of winter & we need significant precipitation here badly

Please don't let it snow no more in Atlanta cause they shutdown schools, Grocery stores, etc plus they can't drive an get stuck on the ice 😮

Winter is far from over in Southern Minnesota. There's a chance for multiple snowstorms over the next few weeks in Southern Minnesota.
@WeatherOnTheGoForecasts I hope you're right!
Out of all the models which one do you think is more accurate most of the time?
European model, followed by the GFS model, then the ICON model, and then the Canadian model.
I’m in south Louisiana what’s next for us cause we had got 9 inches and it just melted
I really miss seeing the dates or date ranges on the top of the video like your previous videos had. Can you bring that function back?
Working on it. I'm trying to zoom in the maps so you can see the temperatures and precipitation better. I'm working on getting dates on there at some point again.
@@WeatherOnTheGoForecasts Thank you. How else am I supposed to know if I am cold or really freezing? 🥶. Must have snow ❄️❄️❄️. ❄️😁
Is the Gfs or the euro more accurate?
Hunter, what about Chattanooga, TN? My birthday is 2/4, and I need snow in my life. I'm from the north, so very homesick.❤
