Thanks at least you covered next weekend better than some have because i had from a Facebook page about a winter storm next weekend yesterday and even local meteorologist had 2 models posted on Facebook and i wasn't seeing/hearing anything today for update like exact location in parts of the Midwest but sucks ass getting hopes up for next weekend about snow but hopefully first week of the month comes true

Difficult to say. The warmer air out ahead of these storms could produce more rain or ice as the precipitation begins, then a changeover to snow. Historically, the biggest snowstorms occur when the precipitation remains all snow. I’ll continue to keep you updated.

I’m no expert, but I’ve been following the weather closely for many years. I think the Euro is more accurate. Don’t quote me on that though! 🥰
European model, followed by the GFS model, then the ICON model, then the Canadian model.
We've got rain forecast here in SW Oklahoma, about 2 hrs SE of Amarillo, IF we see anything remains to be seen.

Yes. But the precipitation types are very uncertain for Chicago. Could be rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain, or all of those.
