1996 Dong Yang lifts at 735 Tampines Street 72

-the lifts siren due to interlock problem
-these lifts have been replaced to newer Fujitec due to lack of spares parts (as the company is no longer exist)

Yes, I heard this siren before, actually once every 2 weeks, cuz my block last time got dong yang lift (green button woodlands one), but now replaced under LRP, rip man, miss the siren waking me up at 7am…

One clue is that the blocks in this area have communal bomb shelters at the void decks, unlike older blocks that don't have bomb shelters & newer ones that have it in each unit instead

Yep, all had been replaced and I had not knew that there are Dong Yang's around this area after it all had been replaced by Fujitecs 😑

Had never heard of that company before (it's since been bought by ThyssenKrupp I think?) so I originally thought they were Otis due to the door window pattern. However only Blks 735-742 (Tampines GreenVale) use these lifts (while Blk 742A MSCP had an EM/BLT lift newly added instead); the others in Tampines Neighbourhood 7 (Blks 701-734) use GoldStar/LG/Sigma though they're now being replaced by IFE since last year onwards (besides another EM newly added to Blk 723A MSCP & a Fujitec to Blk 730A MSCP)
