My 75y old father had his Rolex stolen off his wrist in Spain. 2 young guys pretending to be drunk came up and were over friendly. They were kinda play fighting. My dad moved away and was concerned with protecting the money and c cards in his pocket . But in the tussle the scumbags stole the watch from the other wrist. This all happened in less than 30 seconds
I swear the longer those two hang out the more they end up acting like 5-year-olds with an endless supply of tools and dangerous objects. yet they never cease to capture my interest and make me laugh. Much love and respect to the modern rogue!
The best way to do this is to begin by introducing yourself. Say something like, "I am a legitimate bartender." Then, get their attention by saying something like, "I can do magic." Finally, utilize the art of distraction. A flashbang created from disposable lighter parts, followed by yelling "Go away, bad guys!" Never fails.

Man i knew he was going for the watch the whole time during that ring magic trick session, but I was so caught up in the act I didn't even notice when he took it XD
thank you i can now use this trick in london, i am a 13 y/o pickpocket and i ran away from the orphanage my parents left me at. im very good at pickpoketing but never lerned this trick. the trick im most famous for is the barge and run where i start running towards someone pretend to not see them run into them, steal whatever is in their back pockets and run away. also im wanted in irland, northen irland, somewhere in sccotland and wales and im still running from the police as we speak.
You can even add your own tricks. For example, before dropping the ring say shake your hand three times. Not one not two but three. And that shaking allows you a little more wiggle room with error, if you are as fluid, and all seems like part of the trick. So basically they are shaking and moving their own hand, not much. But enough so if they feel a pinch or something move, it's because they themselves are doing it. This is why I've always admired magicians and pickpockets. People with skills on these areas though two different kinds of people. Obviously I don't endorse stealing, but it's the ability that's amazing.
see the eye movement in 11:11? he's not really trying to make him notice that his wallet was replaced. maybe because that's supposed to be his last trick, that's why when he noticed the other guy really is searching for his wallet he tried to distract him again, but the time he tries to say something distracting the other guys was already laughing.. too bad i wasn't able to watch his real plan on how smooth and cool he make himself after he says that his wallet was replaced

thank you i can now use this trick in london, i am a 13 y/o pickpocket and i ran away from the orphanage my parents left me at. im very good at pickpoketing but never lerned this trick. the trick im most famous for is the barge and run where i start running towards someone pretend to not see them run into them, steal whatever is in their back pockets and run away. also im wanted in irland, northen irland, somewhere in sccotland and wales and im still running from the police as we speak.

"You don't have to be fast, you just have to be smooth." reminds me of the quote/training style "Slow is smooth, smooth is fast."
