I just got a haircut today, and the hairstylist did exactly this starting at the very bottom and I also can feel the thinning shears she used. I requested a straight haircut with no layers. It's amazing how she created such a smooth straight bob at the end, making it look so easy.

Wow, have you considered teaching cosmetology?? I think I learned more in your 30 minute video than I did throughout the whole cosmetology program I attended! Awesome tutorial!!! So, when you comb down your 90* sections, just before you cut try over directing slightly to the left or the right. This creates a taper edge and may eliminate the layering part. It will also reduce some of the dry cutting. After it is dry I just go over the ends of the top layer and the stacked edge with my thinning/texture shears. And thank you for not rambling. Most tutorial videos drive me CRAZY with extra nonsense gabbing. Lol!! You are thorough and professional! And gorgeous I might add!😃👍👍

My wife and I have been trying to cut each other's hair to save money, with varying success. And this video is soooo helpful!
We're also on a time budget. I watched half this video and skimmed the rest sixth months ago, because I ran out of time, and then I cut her hair a week later. I got the back perfect, but I took off too much length in the front.
I'm cutting her hair again today, and I specifically went back through my history to find this specific video. Shes gonna look great! 😃😸

I wish more hairstylists would take the time to make sure everything is even. Being a former hairstylist I’m very picky and I have fine hair. Precision is key, and I can’t ever seem to get a good haircut. You are what all hairstylists should be!

Do you know how refreshing it is to see a professional hair stylist with an awesome cut herself!! When I do decide to go to a hair salon for a hair cut, I get pretty nervous when they give me someone that has a bad style or haircut. I'm thinking, how can she give me a good cut when she doesn't have one herself or know to get it fixed.

In nz 20yrs ago the best hip hop barber stylist in kelston Auckland was owning this hairstyle. ..and he was the USO...sad he went bac to Samoa. He called the shaping concaved and I had to teach my next hairdresser the style who had every other stylist loving it.,,cos I loved it

I did a stacked bob on my mannequin tonight, and it took me just over 2 hours because, literally, no matter what you do to a dang mannequin, the lines are super harsh, especially on an aline or graduation it seems😅.. I was like my career is over before it starts 😢, so hearing you say that makes me feel so much better!! And the cut came out way better than I expected it would!! (Was a pre loved mannequin head).. love your videos!!

How did it come out!??
It looked really good in her! It did stack nice, but the hair was a bit choppy. I thinned a bit, layered, scissor over come method, and I still couldn't get a clean look. But other than that, it looked better on her. She went shopping after and said she got a few compliments. 😊
I just need to figure that out, and in a week or so, see if I can resolve the issue. 🤪
