  • Quick Project this week, a Post Box made from Pallet Wood. The biggest surprise for this one, was the quality of the wood once it was milled up! Unknown species, but it looks amazing! Simple build, with some new techniques for me personally. I've not done tapering Cuts on the table saw and I have never mortised hinges before. I'm Really pleased with the outcome for this project.

Great video. One small change I might suggest is making the top bigger so it over hangs all round. You might get a bit of water getting in especially on the hinge side. Keep the projects coming. Great to watch.

Between you and me, that was my original plan. But somewhere between glueup and cutting, I lost the plot and cut it too short!!! Lol!

Hi sue! Thanks for watching the video, I appreciate it. Unfortunately we have moved house since I made this, and didn't take it with us. But roughly, it was about 16 inches high, 10 wide. Roughly!!

Hi I'm watching ur video from Dublin Ireland . Can u put up a video on how to make a wooden letter box on a 3 - 4 foot stand something that you would see at a wedding in hotels so guests can put envelopes into it , what type of wood would you use . It's just going to be a once off thing that I'm going to be using . Thanks

Just hope that a strong wind doesn't blow the lid open and lets the rain in.

No normal person has those tools at home.

Make no mistake, I've worked my Ass off to pay for the tools I use in these videos, so I'm not going to apologise for having them. The title of the video is not "build a post box with an old hammer and an odd sock" these vids are posted to show how I made it. That's all. Don't like the video, fine, move o with your life. Like the video? Cool, I'm glad you did. Move on with your day.
