December booked. I am a young mid50's. The last cruise i was on the night club was basically a Jimmy Buffett key west dance club. Hoping Skywalker's plays music from this millennium.

Thanks for the video! We sailed a repositioning cruise on the Caribbean Princess in 2022. The Terrace Pool was one of our favorite spots also, as were the Wheelhouse Bar and Skywalker’s during the day (we were sailing up the St. Lawrence Seaway, so it was a good place to watch both sides). And unfortunately, I agree on the entertainment. It was pretty sub-par for a cruise.
I don’t know what your experience was, but for us, tendering to ports was a nightmare. Very long lines and long waits. It was touch and go for getting to our excursions.
One additional note, Coffee and Cones is about the only early morning place to get a cup of coffee to go. The international café could make up an espresso (and therefore an Americano) but they weren’t good, and they had no to-go cups.

Thanks for watching, we had a similar experience.
It was actually one of the hardest videos I have ever done, we have been on Princess 12 times, our first cruise was on the Grand Princess. So we have many found memories of Princess.
We did have some highlights like the Ultimate balcony dinner and Sabatini’s. I thought the bar staff was great.
But overall for 3100 people to be on board I just didn’t think there was a lot of activities.
And I guess i forgot how quirky the layout is, and that is neither bad or good.
I would go back to Princess, so it was awful and a cruise to us is a cruise. But, this wasn’t what I expected out of Princess.

    Great video Jayson,
I agree with your review of the buffet. On the Cron it was pretty lame, except the Indian food.
I did like my coffee from International Cafe, and the finger food was good. Salty Dog had great hotdogs.
I’m on the Caribbean Princess in January. Thanks again for the great review.

Is the Caribbean princess all wheel chair accessible?

When this ship was new, many years ago, the buffets on Princess were fantastic. Top quality expensive food. Those days are over. We sailed on it when it was new and it was great, no odors and plumbing , A/C all worked well but I will not go on an old ship due to the problems with aging infrastructure.

Little known secret about sail away spot: If you walk all the way forward on deck 15, past the pool areas, down the hallway of staterooms, there is a wooden door on both the port and starboard sides. If you go through these you can walk out on top of the bridge. It's a spot you can see at 1:55 in the video but where you're at you can only see one side and it gets quite crowded at sail away. Unless they've shut it down in recent times, you can get onto that bridge and have an even better view. Having said that, depending on the port, they may lock those doors and not let you out there during sail away, but at least in Ft. Lauderdale for the initial sail away it's fine.

When exactly were you on the ship.... I just left the Caribbean after my seven month contract of being the ships acupuncture physician working out of the spa and I did not experience this... I was in the spa 6-7 days a week for 10-12 hours a day working and maybe had the smell one or two days tops and it was during rough seas... Were you there during rough seas... unfortunately this happens occasionally on many ships for whatever reason... I've worked on ships for 14 years as an acupuncture physician... I can assure you that the spa are cleaned extremely well daily before we leave work and on the last night of the cruise it is called "Port Clean" and the rooms are scrubbed top to bottom...The cleaning usually starts about 5/6pm until 8-9pm doing nothing but cleaning every aspect of the spa... This is normal and required in every spa on every ship...If what you said was true I would have noticed it...

I just finished and took a closer look at your video, especially the massage waiting area and the video you took was before I got there on July 8th... I can tell because I see the setup and photos of the acupuncturist and it's not me... lol

Jayson, we were on the CP for a 14-day cruise out of Quebec to Fort Lauderdale October 2022. As a getaway we will be back on January 2024. Nice review, you wet the appetite for us.

Thank you, I do mention the smell, I spoke to a buddy that just it off, and said there was no smell. So that was my biggest complaint.
So enjoy it, soon it will be going out of Port Canaveral (Orlando area) so we may try it out again.
      Thanks for watching.

thanks for the video.too bad about the smell but i might try the cruise anyway.one thing i didnt like on my last cruise on msc fantasia was all the photographers onboard the ship constantly asking to take a picture of you.was it like that on your cruise also?

They are around, but, it wasn’t a big deal, for formal night you can go find them and get some get photos. If you don’t want them not a big deal at all.
I would try it, I talked to more then one person that said they have fixed the issue. Or it was there a month later.
We thought the food was excellent, movies under the stars was great.
We would 100% book another Princess cruise, in fact we are looking at them for Jan 2025. (Already booked up for next year)
Appreciate you watching and your comment

Wow. Such a beautiful ship. But the smell is a total turnoff. I can’t imagine enjoying the cruise with that going on.

It wasn’t all over the place, Spa and Gym were bad. We also bought the Thermal Suite, so glad we didn’t. I had hear some rumors about some smells before our cruise. There is clearly an issue on the CP that I hope Princess figures out.
Thanks for watching and your comment.
