been aboard the Royal twice and Regal once. Also on the Sapphire once and the Diamond in Alaska. This will be our first time on the Caribbean Princess Dec 15th. Looking forward to it.
I think you will enjoy this ship. It has many features that the Grand Princess has. I enjoyed it in the Western Caribbean. I liked the aft deck area and the Princess Live Movie Area. Enjoy!
Just wanted to say thank you for your insights! I am planning to cruise on the CP because my bf is a crew member on it. I was curious what his ship looked like and you showed so many great locations! I've never gone on any cruises but am used to solo traveling so I also wanted to say thank you for your solo traveler playlist! Keep up the great work! :D
We were on the CP for 14 days in 2022 and 7 days in January 2024 and we will be on her again for 12 days in May 2024. 39 cruises to date and this ship while older is still one of our favorites. Can't beat the Promenade deck something that's missing from the newer ships. The gym needs a huge upgrade in equipment and layout. Depending when you're on the ship entertainment can be hit or miss. The crew(s) are outstanding.
I agree! I love the promenade deck and the aft pool area where you can eat outside from the buffet. Even though it’s older it works somehow! Thanks for watching! ☀️🚢
@@mariuszp4530 you can eat in the dining room. That’s nice! The specialty restaurants are I think $35 per person. They are an Italian place and a steakhouse. You can add that on without a drink package for those prices. Main Dining is a nice menu. It’s kind of based on your time frame and who you want to sit with. If you ask the hostess, maybe she can find you a nice table. I have good luck with that! ☀️🚢
Princess live is a small studio surround sound room with seating. There is a stage and the seating is in a semicircle. Here you can see karaoke, talks, trivia. It’s a more intimate setting. It holds maybe 100-150 people max. Theater seats. So karaoke is there usually. They may have the voice of the ocean, like the voice on tv show. It depends on the ship! Princess Live was not on the Caribbean Princess, but it is on most of the ships. Karaoke would be in the aft lounge!
Doing this Caribbean Princess June 2024 to Norway. Did want to mention that in 18min. you mentioned the Alfredo's Restaurant (for Pizza) is/ was complimentary.... not any more! So people are not going there any more, and so Carnival is "reimagining" those Alfredo areas....
Oh wow, good to know. I really liked that place. I wonder what they are charging? I notice the same thing is happening on different lines, where some food is complimentary and some is a low price in the same area! A new trend! Thanks for watching. Norway is beautiful.
I know it’s Deck 6 forward and it is a smoking area for guests. It does double as a sports bar and was not staffed or open when I walked by! It may be good for some, but I enjoy the other venues a bit more! ☀️🚢
Trivia is free, some game shows like deal or no deal or bingo cost extra. You can buy multiple cards for bingo and they might give you an extra card, it just depends. Good question!
No. Only coffee at the buffet is included. The other coffee places charge anywhere from 2-4 dollars. It’s a different coffee and brewed for specialty coffees like lattes or espresso drinks. Where ever there is a drink station with water and lemonade there is free coffee and milk or cream. Sometimes there is a drink station at the aft of the buffet. It just depends on the ship. Same goes for water. If you get a glass of water from a bar it’s free, but a bottled water will cost around 2 or 3 dollars. Buffet water is free. FYI!
What is your favorite part of a ship? Let me know in the comments! 🚢
@StephanieHargrove-ck2lg it’s a nice ship with some good spots to enjoy! I know it is older, but I felt comfortable on it! ☀️🚢

@@BonVoyageCruiseTravel sounds great, thank YOU for your advice 🙂
wow, such a good info. I want to be on this ship
Thanks so much for watching! It is a perfect size for cruising. I know it’s an older ship but it has its own charm! ☀️🚢
Great video, thanks for the info, can I ask what is Princess Live ? Also did they have karaoke anywhere on your sailing ?

I am surprised you didn't mention anything about Churchill's Lounge and bar.

Is there an extra cost for trivia and bingo?
Trivia is free, some game shows like deal or no deal or bingo cost extra. You can buy multiple cards for bingo and they might give you an extra card, it just depends. Good question!
Have you try their regular coffee ? Is coffee&cream at coffee&cones included in base fare ?

@@BonVoyageCruiseTravel thank You...is the coffee in the buffet ok ? From scale 1 to 10 ?
Their regular coffee was great! Coming from a very recent cruiser from Washington state where we love our coffee!
