In XY, Ash is the mature person in the group and he is admired by everyone around him. Everyone expects great things from him. His challenges are meeting people's expectations and prove himself worthy of being considered a role model by trainers like Sawyer, Clemont and Serena. That's why Ash goes to the forest after losing to Wulfric, he thinks he is unworthy of the praise people give him and thinks that Sawyer has surpassed him. That's why Serena's words are important. He realises that people don't admire him for his accomplishments, they admire him for his optimism and compassion toward other pokemon. The way Ash interacts with the forest pokemon furthers this belief and Ash finally realises where he was wrong. The Snowbelle arc is one of the best written arcs in the whole of the anime

I love this Version Of Ash cause it combines All of his past knowledge Of his journeys and if it was not for this version he would’ve never been the first champion of Alola
Hell, they even kind of allude to that when they say something similar in the lyrics of XYZ's English theme song Stand Tall, when they say, "With the wisdom of years behind me."
I think the writers handed him that Alola win because the fans were pretty peed off with the Kalos final... It all seemed lined up for Ash to Finally beat Allan after being bested twice by him already.
@@JoshTrager-j9gYeah, like where the lyrics also say “You met your match cuz im no beginner” really implies that hes an experienced trainer whos not new and isnt playing around anymore, can be serious and hes coming at the pokemon league to win it all, gives me chills.
The only reason why Ash aged backward on alola is because a half of his soul transfered to his AshGreninja to protect Kalos. Only his inner child left but still has some of past experience.
He was so cool. Like serena said, everyone looked up to him, he was the 'leader', he knew his strength and what he was good at, and he was also clever during his battles- "classic ash" as Clermont mentioned
I like it when Ash learned from his experiences. He showed growth. He acted like he had all those experiences and not like he just started out every time
Engineer here, if clemond learned Dynamic systems and controls (class I just had to take) he would be unstoppable, because all his stuff would stop blowing up.
Easy: because it was the last series to make Ash look like he had aged despite not aging He went from looking 16 in Kalos To looking like he's 7 in Alola To looking like he's 9 in Journeys

As someone who watch xy and xyz in my elementary years, I enjoyed the mature elements, it helps me to learn more and grow, now I am soon graduating highschool and looking back at this anime brings me tears in my eyes.
I was part of the group of kids who grew up watching the original series, so I was in high school when XY was airing. Part of why I loved the XY anime was that it felt like Ash was getting older right alongside me. He was properly growing into himself, finally acting like the leader of the group for once. Yet he also tried to put on a brave face while struggling with insecurities, something that was highlighted during the Ash-Greninja arc. XY delved into some of the issues that we struggled with as teenagers. Maybe that's why it resonated so much with teenagers in the 2010s.
I feel that alot prefer because this version is indeed making him mature. - His design makes him look like a teenager - He wasn't the strongest but he was still respected and recognized as a trainer. This Shows he is an MC that alot of people can relate too. - He also had a great group. He was like a brother to both Clemont and Bonnie. Him and Serena made their dynamic as a group so fun to watch because in the previous he was always seen as one of the "immature friend or little kid" in the previous seasons--with this group, he's definitely recognized as the mature one.💕
And don't forget how much risk is was willing to take to save his pokemon. Bro became a 9/11 jumper to save his Pikachu. That and when all his friends were hypnotized by Malamar he allowed Meowth to scratch him up.
i'm glad someone is making these vids appreciating the XY era ten years later, i still remember i was just entering college when XY aired so i really felt the series growing up alongside me, XY was what got me into Pokémon again after leaving it for a few years and i still play now that im nearly 30. I still think as XY as the last good nostalgic era of Pokemon before entering a new era of modern, out-of-the-box series that we still have today, the classic era ended here and not in Journeys imo. Congrats for the 20k subs!
When this first aired, I believe I was in middle school. *God* you have no idea just how much I loved it, always dropped my active tasks the second I heard the openings.
XY was the first series (or seasons) I ever watched in Pokemon as a teen, I loved every battle and of course that Ash VS Alain battle was freaking intense and hype (that impact from that water shuriken to Charizard's gut, oh my gosh...), oh yeah and it's the series that made Pikachu my favorite, that electric mouse was cooking everyone, having the power to defeat powerful pseudo-legendary pokemon such as Tyranitar, Metagross, and even a mega evolved Lucario.
My favorite is Diamond/Pearl Ash, but Indigo and Advanced Ash are runner-ups. It's hard to pit them against each other though since they flow between each other so naturally lol, it's the same guy XY Ash is also really cool, even if he's a little different
Something that i can't stand is how bulbapedia states that Greninja's gender is unknown even though you can't have a female battle bond Greninja and it sure as hell ain't genderless
In my opinion, XY Ash was more growing as a trainer and was kind of like a starting point to become Champion. I know he lost the Kalos League but I’m fine with Alola League win. SM was about Ash growing as a person to enjoy nature around the World. Then JN set him to travel the whole world to learn how far he has come before then and led him to become a World Champion. DP, XY, SM and JN Ash are all Goated (Alongside OS and AG even BW pls don’t kill me lol)
@KarenTravis-u8s OS stand for Original series. AG for Advanced Generation, DP for Diamond and pearl, BW for Black and White, XY is just XY, SM for Sun and Moon and JN for journeys.
I think overall XY and XYZ are one of the best if not the best of the series because of the characters, the dynamic fight scenes, the vibe of each scene you can feel. I got into pokemon when xy was airing but could never watch it so I waited and I decided to watch from the first pokemon season and caught up, I think that even through all of the seasons, these are the best ones, it gives off actually anime vibes, W video keep it up!
I became a fan of Pokemon when XY and XYZ aired on cable tv back in 2015-2016. This show was just amazing, every time it aired on TV i assured to never miss an episode and especially when we arrived to XYZ and Team Flare arc it really grow even more on me. I think every Pokemon anime, movie or adaptation should take notes from this series !!! As someone who does not watch much anime i can say Pokemon XY and XYZ is my favorite anime and Pokemon series ever.
I realized this season had seriously left an impact when the gen 7 games created the Battle Bond form for Greninja specifically based on the anime. That was wild to see back when it was first announced, and it felt like Ash's Greninja had truly cemented itself as legitimately iconic.
im in 10th grade and even i remember watching this earlier in mid elementary and ngl, im glad i grew up with this. Can't wait to rewatch it entirely again when i get the chance. also you really did go into great depth of this, keep it up fr
I actually grew up with this one. I remember that I always thought that Ash was a late teen growing up. Then my brother tells me that Ash was just a little kid, and my mind could not comprehend.
As someone who watched XY as it was coming out as a kid, but hadn’t really kept up with the prior seasons. Even beyond the idea that he matured from all the past seasons, this Ash always felt the most engaging to me because he was slightly mature. He still felt like a kid, but one that you could rely on. And as someone young, was a really good role model type figure to follow along in the story.
I like all version of Ash! But I definitely agree that XYZ Ash is so great, too. And while yeah I was a bit disappointed that he lost the Kalos League, but not really THAT much, like most seem to be. In my eyes, Ash had made it so far, he made the FINALS of a Pokemon League, which is awesome, in my opinion! And I totally agree with you. Though he lost, Ash and Greninja were able to finally get better control of their new power, and were okay with the lose.
Thanks! I would love to see a video about my favorite, though sadly very underrated, character Nando 🎶 If you don’t exactly know who that is, I don’t blame you, again he is very underrated… Nando is a bard Ash and company meet in Sinnoh during the Diamond/Pearl season.
One of the main objectives for me was his friends and rivals actually looked up to him and found him as an inspiration instead of everyone calling him a kid… CAUSE. HE. WASN’T.
This show was Peak In elementary school I would always watch it from home, Ash’s character was Peak, Greninja’s arc and the bond phenomenon was sick asf and obviously Amor shipping which was a plus for me, overall great video man keep it up!
Ash actually looks like he’s 15 in this show. This is my favourite version of Ash and my favourite part of the whole anime. I also really love the intro music
Companions...10 out of 10 Storyline of this series...10 out of 10 Team Rocket being what Team Rocket is...10 out of 10 Overall of the XYZ series...A masterpiece was born. [Edit] Someone tell me how to stop this nonsense war in this comment ☠️
Writing of XY sucks, actually. Even to the Pokemon standard. What story it had untill XYZ? The companions with worst chemistry afterall. Given how their conversations felt bland and Ash-Bonnie and Clemont -serena has bad chemistry. How could someone call it best?
@@darshan5052 Even Indigo League and Johto didn't have any story lol. Its an anime meant to advertise pokemon. Atleast XYZ had the best villain arc in Pokemon. Also I liked the chemistry between the XY companions because they were supportive towards one another. Ash also helped in development of Clemont and Serena. Also in Hoenn May-Brock and Max-Brock didn't have many good interactions either. In SM, Sophocles had bad chemistry with everyone.
I really like the Sun and Moon ash because he just feels like a better person in general. At least to me, he seems nicer than other ashes but still has that same energy to battle but will always protect anything that needs help. Maybe that’s just me but yeah
Cos Ash is Him, Clemont is Bro, Bonnie is cute and funny and would've been a great protagonist to continue on with maybe 7yrs later, and, Serena broke the Damn Internet 😂😂😂 This was the FIRST series of Pokemon I watched on weekly Japanese release due to the hype of the games and a few trailers... They released ep1&2 together and by the moment the battle versus design popped up for Ash & Clemonts mock battle, I was sold!! Then, the small moments of Ash climbing Prism Tower and Clemont growing more confident seeing Ash put himself at Great risk was icing on the cake. Even the "filler" episodes bar a few were top notch. One of my favourites was when Goomy ran off and Bonnie & Serena had a double battle with Team Rocket.. So dope. Ash' team was one of his Best and the personalities of all their Pokemon was great too. Plus, Froakee choosing Ash solidified it. Ash is HIM!!!!
@@JoshTrager-j9g I think the battle itself was amazing, but 3 battles will never make masters 8 not a let down, ash vs Leon and Cynthia and Cynthia vs iris were all great fights, but even they had elements that were just bad And not to mention, even with them being good, it's the masters 8 and we only saw like 6 or 7 battle, and everything other than those 3 were just bad, not to mention a slate no one asked for, like, I'm sure the 5 diantha fans were happy to see her beat lance, but then she got folded anyways
I also really loved XY/XYZ because of the development the whole gang got in general. Each character had depth to them past what we see, and the show gave us that through their own backstories and private moments outside of interactions with Ash. It made the whole show feel authentic in a way and made it a lot more relatable to us watching it as somewhat older teens. A part of me still sheds a tear for the episode where Serena ended up cutting her hair.
XYZ Ash is my personal favourite and was probably the last one I watched before starting to step away from the anime at Sun and Moon before nearly completely at Journeys and not watching the most recent series.
Clemont Is Still My Favorite Character And When His Machines Explode Is Hilarious XY Comedy Is Always Funny.😂 Clembot's Death Still Hurts Especially When You Rewatch The XYZ Anime. 😢 Edit: MINECRAFT STORY MODE!!!!!!!!! YES!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
i casually watched pokemon on tv when i was younger but i definitely got obsessed with xy the most even getting the pokemon x game for 3ds. to this day it’s still my fav series…mostly because of professor sycamore though 😅
I am very late by a month, but other than Indigo Leauge, XY/XYZ was the series I first started to watch Pokémon. I first got the info maybe sometime within th Black 2/White 2 era, but because even more obsessed by the era of X/Y, not because I played the games (I only played X/Y a tiny bit when I was with an old friend, who allowed me to play some of her old save file... the same happened with Sun/Moon), but it was when I started to learn a lot more about the franchise, the Pokémon GO craze also helped out with that too despite not having a phone, as it exposed me to more content of Pokémon. Anyways, side tracking aside, I like the maturity Ash has in XY/XYZ, and honestly wished we had a combination of Ash from the Sun/Moon and Sword/Sheild (Adventures) seasons combined with XY/XYZ Ash, giving Ash some maturity, but also give some more moments where he could just goof off with his friend(s) (
Sinnoh is still best, Ash, for me. Better rivals, best league, and don't get me started on the contest battles. I like XY, but fans have reactors skip to it. I'm like, "How dare yall skip Paul and Dawn."
This was the season where Ash has a strong connection with Greninja throughout the Kalos league and the final showdown against Team Flare was probably a inspiration for "Avengers Endgame" but this is also where Serena gets closer to Ash (even after their shout-battling argument when Ash became too depressed).
Pokemon XY&Z is probably the only pokemon anime that tries to cater to the teen anime audience and I hope they try to do that again someday. Because the way the anime looks and feels makes the stories really feel ambitious even if it's for the ordinary moments and makes these daily adventures truly feel grand scale. But i just cope with the animes after XY&Z as just the creators wanting a reset and Ash slowly retiring as the anime protag for Pokemon. I hope they STICK with the protagonist switches because Ash already had a whole life journey displayed to us.
This is my favorite show not only for pokemon, its in general cause finally ash is serius when the time is required, he already has skill socializing, has deep connections apart of pikachu, and I see it on my childhood and also teach me how can I do a good person thanks to this ash and I love it
Man not only XYZ Ash was more mature but he was actually using strategies whenever he was battling and he was such more of a badass in XYZ. Bro, I love the XY/XYZ series, and it's my favorite, but damn if there's any league that Ash should had won, it was the Sinnoh League and the Kalos League because this was the farthest that he had ever been to a league at that point and besides the XY/XYZ and the Kalos League was basically Ash's redemption arc. Like you really have to understand why XYZ Ash was so goated and why XYZ Ash was so much mature and a total badass because Ash was terrible in the Black & White series and the Unova League was trash. I don't care what anyone says. The fall off between Diamond & Pearl to Black & White has to studied because there's no way Ash goes from being in the top 4 in the Sinnoh League to losing in embarrassing fashion to a nobody in Cameron who only had 5 Pokémon with him, even though it was a 6 on 6 battle like the entire Black & White series was terrible, especially for Ash so basically the entire XY/XYZ and the Kalos League was literally Ash's redemption arc and for him and that's a good thing. Also the dynamic duo between Ash and Greninja was so badass and goated because Ash actually learned how to have fun battling instead of trying to win every single time
@darkdragon7210 I mean Ash was such so dumb, more dumber than the OG Ash, he took so many Ls in black and white, his decision makings in battle was terrible, his Black and White team was so trash and Ash lost so many battles in the most embarrassing ways possible
Honestly he ( at least for me ) was the blandest in this then any other series sure he was cool but conversations he had with friends was pretty boring he was just nice no roasts, anger, no moments of stupidity expect for the fight he had with Serena he was either saying obvious things or "science is so amazing " that got my on nerves his motivational speeches were nice i guess it's still my third favorite series but that's just opinion no hate to anyone else who likes it
Ofc friend, not everyone enjoys the same thing after all. I personally thought it was a funny gag but it can get old real quick so I understand for sure
I really like the version of XY Ash, because it feels like they finally makes Ash growing up mentally (aswell it was for DP Ash) making some comedic scenes and serious scenes, they a really made a great animation and storyline for Ash when he was travelling in a Kalos region with the experience he had in that time (the XY group and Ash Greninja is something really nice to see and showing that Pokemon can be serious when they have a chance to show for teenager and older audience not only being exclusive for kids), if Ash was returning to the Pokemon series even if is for the last time (either in main anime or spinoff [even if he gets into the game Pokemon would be cool to see]) hopefully they make Ash breaking the 10 years old curse finally making him a teenager or a adult with all the experience he had from his previous season (and some of his friends and rivals getting older in a Timeskip)
One thing I think helped a lot with making Ash feel more mature was that there wasn't that one character in the group who would say they were his friend but would always call him a piece of s**t. Everyone in the XYZ group was always supportive of him and each other and it let us appreciate Ash's best qualities
He's "popular" for the wrong reasons. Especially since the XY anime made him regress more than the entitled periphery fandom thinks that BW did. He was more childish than in BW. The only reason why he comes across as "mature" and "grown up" is because of the image of Ash that the XY anime itself forces on the viewer. XY for the first time presents him fully as a figure who apparently should be revered by viewers. Which is itself opposed to being shown as either a naive, slightly boneheaded kid (OS, BW) or a somewhat smarter Pokemon trainer with some experience (AG, DP.) This is reinforced by his three traveling companions, who all share in their unflagging worship of him and the storyline forcing events that happen just to make him look good in the end. Other characters are even literally shoved to the side just so that Ash can take all the glory for himself. Even to the point where those same characters that are shoved aside sit on the sidelines, literally saying "isn't Ash the coolest"? It's enough to make anyone with even a semblance of media literacy feel like they're watching grass grow, or watching paint dry.
You say they shove everyone else to the sidelines as if zygarde wasn't the defining character to end the battle. As if Alain didn't just beat him in the league. As if he's not allowed to inspire his friends. As if clemont didn't have a pivotal moment to sacrifice, clembot to save the day. Their were so many other characters that shined this is a horrid take. None the less I'm glad you gave your input
Xy ash was the culmination of the character that was built up from og, AG, and Dp He started amateur rookie who won through luck, or Charizard, and lost because of bad luck and Charizard, Then in johto, he actually became competent, and battled with skill he still had his major ego, but he was still a mentor to may, but he barely learned anything from her, he didnt ecen wafch half her contests In dp, he actually took time to actually watch and learn from dawn, And then BW threw all of itt away And then all of it returned for XY, and he became more mature, rather than just influencing more than just serena, he started being a role model to everyone, even veterans like alain and clemont And SM kept that part of him Jn dropped all that
And this honestly goes for sun and moon I’ve seen people complain that the games have too much dialogue and it does but they were honestly just preparing the next wave of Pokémon fans
This show got me into Pokémon. I was obsessed with it, watched it between xy and xyz’s release in the uk. Along with the gen 3 anime (sky was weird.) The story was awesome and it got me into this franchise . So XY will be forever my favourite series. I almost decided to stop watching when I saw the Alola anime. But eh. I got over it.
The simple answer is that Ash actually feels like he grew up not only physically but also mentally before they aged him down like crazy

I like it when Ash learned from his experiences. He showed growth. He acted like he had all those experiences and not like he just started out every time
let's be honest, the future is now, thanks to science slaps every time
science is so amazing! 🤩
Engineer here, if clemond learned Dynamic systems and controls (class I just had to take) he would be unstoppable, because all his stuff would stop blowing up.
@ YESSS
I prayed on his downfall whenever he said that 🙏
Easy: because it was the last series to make Ash look like he had aged despite not aging
He went from looking 16 in Kalos
To looking like he's 7 in Alola
To looking like he's 9 in Journeys
This is only an issue for immature fans
@@natalimoinaYou're saying only immature fans have a problem with immaturity? The irony, honestly just keep your braindead takes to yourself for all of our sakes.
@natalimoina nah immature fan issues is seeing Ash shipped with someone other then their preferred shipping
I'm an AshXSerena and AshXMay fan but I don't care if others ship Ash with characters like:
Misty
Gary
Goh
Dawn
Iris
Lillie
Mallow
Lana
Or whoever else hell I've seen AshXNemona art 😂
The maturity has left as part of his soul transfered into Ash Greninja to protect Kalos. He became a child again.
As someone who watch xy and xyz in my elementary years, I enjoyed the mature elements, it helps me to learn more and grow, now I am soon graduating highschool and looking back at this anime brings me tears in my eyes.
Simple His character dynamics and his arc was relatable
- His design makes him look like a teenager
- He wasn't the strongest but he was still respected and recognized as a trainer.
Imo this was ash at his best as a character, but my favorite ash will always be Indigo League ash
That's so valid friend!!
*worst and most childish
Nostalgia is a bitch
Bro your in every comment we get it you don't like it move on😭@@natalimoina
My favorite is Diamond/Pearl Ash, but Indigo and Advanced Ash are runner-ups. It's hard to pit them against each other though since they flow between each other so naturally lol, it's the same guy
XY Ash is also really cool, even if he's a little different
I first watched XYZ in 5th grade, and oh my god i was hooked, it was actually what got me into anime, so XYZ does hold a special place in my heart.
Another BIG reason, the artstyle is leagues above the other series
"Paw Patrol was peak" is something i feel like everyone can agree on.
Element A: Pokemon is fundamentally about battling and adventures
Element B: They made it a Shonen anime. You know, Shonen as in battles and adventure
Something that i can't stand is how bulbapedia states that Greninja's gender is unknown even though you can't have a female battle bond Greninja and it sure as hell ain't genderless
Best design, story, drip, and maturity
In my opinion, XY Ash was more growing as a trainer and was kind of like a starting point to become Champion. I know he lost the Kalos League but I’m fine with Alola League win. SM was about Ash growing as a person to enjoy nature around the World. Then JN set him to travel the whole world to learn how far he has come before then and led him to become a World Champion.
DP, XY, SM and JN Ash are all Goated (Alongside OS and AG even BW pls don’t kill me lol)
can you type the full names of those acronyms pls?
@KarenTravis-u8s OS stand for Original series. AG for Advanced Generation, DP for Diamond and pearl, BW for Black and White, XY is just XY, SM for Sun and Moon and JN for journeys.
you understand, thank you! also congrats on 20k!
Video Idea: What made Jessie, James, and Meowth so Good?
Yes please!
But they are not good
Already kinda answered that in my "why was team rocket so popular?" Video
@@eliaskyriakou6253 woah now buster I think you are forgetting about OS Team Rocket
@@Pokiiii62Nevermind
im in 10th grade and even i remember watching this earlier in mid elementary and ngl, im glad i grew up with this. Can't wait to rewatch it entirely again when i get the chance. also you really did go into great depth of this, keep it up fr
I think most people would actually say Indigo League because that’s the most popular one among non-fans.
Honestly XYZ Ash has always been my favorite, but I didn’t know there were *this many* people who like him so much, and for the same reasons I do
I like all version of Ash!
Very valid friend
Thanks!
I would love to see a video about my favorite, though sadly very underrated, character Nando 🎶 If you don’t exactly know who that is, I don’t blame you, again he is very underrated… Nando is a bard Ash and company meet in Sinnoh during the Diamond/Pearl season.
this is one of the best video for this topic this guy is funny while getting to the point.
One of the main objectives
for me was his friends and rivals actually looked up to him and found him as an inspiration instead of everyone calling him a kid… CAUSE. HE. WASN’T.
Tbh I loved it because of the battles it wasn’t just ash spamming the same move he actually had strategy and the battles always felt intense
i was introduced to pokemon through Pokemon X/Y and it just has that extra connection towards me.
This show was Peak In elementary school I would always watch it from home, Ash’s character was Peak, Greninja’s arc and the bond phenomenon was sick asf and obviously Amor shipping which was a plus for me, overall great video man keep it up!

his drip was unmatched 📈😎.
What Drip slang means?
@@YellowRedBluetheTitaniumWindvIt means someone's outfit.
Yeah, the Kalos outfit was awesome, second only to his AG outfit if you ask me.
Ash actually looks like he’s 15 in this show. This is my favourite version of Ash and my favourite part of the whole anime. I also really love the intro music

REAL
The writing is atrocious, but true that TR is back to being in character, even if they're not as good as any other in character iteration
@@natalimoinafor a pokemon show it’s really good writing
(Especially for the intended audience, while still being enjoyable for a lot of people)
Writing of XY sucks, actually.
New to your channel but I absolutely love it keep it up man I absolutely love your videos
Thank you friend, i very much will!
5:05 Sick transition btw 😎
I'm not even gonna try and lie that is just the opening bro 😭 (I wish it was me tho)
@@Pokiiii62No, I think they meant the transition from Ash and Kiawe running transitioning to the XY opening WAS the sick transition.
Every series that Ash orders Pikachu to use any other move besides Thunder Shock is already one of my favorites
I really like the Sun and Moon ash because he just feels like a better person in general. At least to me, he seems nicer than other ashes but still has that same energy to battle but will always protect anything that needs help. Maybe that’s just me but yeah
No, of course that makes sense friend!

I love Hoenn Ash because he shows he’s had experience and teaches May a lot about battling.
Cos Ash is Him, Clemont is Bro, Bonnie is cute and funny and would've been a great protagonist to continue on with maybe 7yrs later, and, Serena broke the Damn Internet 😂😂😂
This was the FIRST series of Pokemon I watched on weekly Japanese release due to the hype of the games and a few trailers...
Ash is HIM!!!!
the quality of animation and screenplay were peak and the fights were also really good
0:15 2019 ash cuz he one the world championships😤
Journeys is THE WORST Pokemon series EVER.
One episode doesn't undo 100 episodes of flaws
@@kannan07 Agreed!! 👍 And even that "amazing" final battle wasn't even all that amazing if you ask me.
@@JoshTrager-j9g I think the battle itself was amazing, but 3 battles will never make masters 8 not a let down, ash vs Leon and Cynthia and Cynthia vs iris were all great fights, but even they had elements that were just bad
And not to mention, even with them being good, it's the masters 8 and we only saw like 6 or 7 battle, and everything other than those 3 were just bad, not to mention a slate no one asked for, like, I'm sure the 5 diantha fans were happy to see her beat lance, but then she got folded anyways
@@kannan07Ash deserved to win alola than kalos.
I remember listening to the ash greninja theme for the first time and i lost it man. Good video❤️
Clemont Is Still My Favorite Character And When His Machines Explode Is Hilarious XY Comedy Is Always Funny.😂
Clembot's Death Still Hurts Especially When You Rewatch The XYZ Anime. 😢
Edit: MINECRAFT STORY MODE!!!!!!!!! YES!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
i casually watched pokemon on tv when i was younger but i definitely got obsessed with xy the most even getting the pokemon x game for 3ds. to this day it’s still my fav series…mostly because of professor sycamore though 😅
And i hate what they did to him in sun and moon and iourneys, thats why i dropped pokemon after XYZ
Green ninja carried his ahh that's why I like this version
XYZ Ash was just cool even with it in the intro sounding cool
Anyways, side tracking aside, I like the maturity Ash has in XY/XYZ, and honestly wished we had a combination of Ash from the Sun/Moon and Sword/Sheild (Adventures) seasons combined with XY/XYZ Ash, giving Ash some maturity, but also give some more moments where he could just goof off with his friend(s) (
xyz is so incredible I could talk about it forever
The way you talk about the safari pup is how some people talk about Sun and Moon.
Safari pup came outta nowhere tho
Sinnoh is still best, Ash, for me. Better rivals, best league, and don't get me started on the contest battles. I like XY, but fans have reactors skip to it. I'm like, "How dare yall skip Paul and Dawn."
I have so many good memories of sitting on my dads couch and watching Pokémon xy and just being like WOW A FING
This was the season where Ash has a strong connection with Greninja throughout the Kalos league and the final showdown against Team Flare was probably a inspiration for "Avengers Endgame" but this is also where Serena gets closer to Ash (even after their shout-battling argument when Ash became too depressed).
This is the actual Ash I grew up with and LOVED THE SERIES
Pokemon XY&Z is probably the only pokemon anime that tries to cater to the teen anime audience and I hope they try to do that again someday. Because the way the anime looks and feels makes the stories really feel ambitious even if it's for the ordinary moments and makes these daily adventures truly feel grand scale.
But i just cope with the animes after XY&Z as just the creators wanting a reset and Ash slowly retiring as the anime protag for Pokemon. I hope they STICK with the protagonist switches because Ash already had a whole life journey displayed to us.
This is my favorite show not only for pokemon, its in general cause finally ash is serius when the time is required, he already has skill socializing, has deep connections apart of pikachu, and I see it on my childhood and also teach me how can I do a good person thanks to this ash and I love it
I cant describe it
He was just him, and then he devolved
They really made up for the absolutely trainwreck that was Unova Ash
Me every time I see a goat: Yo it’s XY Ash
Yessir
as soon as you reached sun and moon the battle against a true hero got me
XYZ is peak !!!
Real
I really liked that one episode where Ash was scared of Sawyer getting ahead of him, it was a normal human reaction.
Also the dynamic duo between Ash and Greninja was so badass and goated because Ash actually learned how to have fun battling instead of trying to win every single time
Yeah I really hated how he was a top 4 in dp but somehow he's worse in b&w?
@Pokiiii62 Yeah like B&W was so terrible. Oh yeah by the way, can I mention you in a post that I will create later tonight
@@Kings0424 Why was BW Ash Terrible? Like I get the Earthquake Shaked up somethings, but there's got to be more than that right?
@darkdragon7210 I mean Ash was such so dumb, more dumber than the OG Ash, he took so many Ls in black and white, his decision makings in battle was terrible, his Black and White team was so trash and Ash lost so many battles in the most embarrassing ways possible
@@Kings0424 I meant more the decisions of the writing staff, why they choose to go down this route?
for me it was just the one that I grew up with
Honestly he ( at least for me ) was the blandest in this then any other series sure he was cool but conversations he had with friends was pretty boring he was just nice no roasts, anger, no moments of stupidity expect for the fight he had with Serena he was either saying obvious things or "science is so amazing " that got my on nerves his motivational speeches were nice i guess it's still my third favorite series but that's just opinion no hate to anyone else who likes it
Ofc friend, not everyone enjoys the same thing after all.
Ash from XY and XYZ will always be my favorite version, nothing force me to reason place this Ash.
None the less I'm glad you gave your input
you did it dude 20k subs by the end of the year. proud f you man
Thanks, brother. I appreciate it wholeheartedly 💙
Xy ash was the culmination of the character that was built up from og, AG, and Dp
He started amateur rookie who won through luck, or Charizard, and lost because of bad luck and Charizard,
Then in johto, he actually became competent, and battled with skill
he still had his major ego, but he was still a mentor to may, but he barely learned anything from her, he didnt ecen wafch half her contests
In dp, he actually took time to actually watch and learn from dawn,
And then BW threw all of itt away
And then all of it returned for XY, and he became more mature, rather than just influencing more than just serena, he started being a role model to everyone, even veterans like alain and clemont
And SM kept that part of him
Jn dropped all that
And this honestly goes for sun and moon I’ve seen people complain that the games have too much dialogue and it does but they were honestly just preparing the next wave of Pokémon fans
You forgot about avanced
Yuh... for good reason
@Pokiiii62 💀
What do you mean, "for good reason?????" Advanced was awesome! 😎
(Well, except for one, short, annoying part of that is.)
This show got me into Pokémon.
I was obsessed with it, watched it between xy and xyz’s release in the uk. Along with the gen 3 anime (sky was weird.)
The story was awesome and it got me into this franchise . So XY will be forever my favourite series.
I almost decided to stop watching when I saw the Alola anime. But eh. I got over it.
