    I'm really impressed with EZMix2. Feel kinda bad for people who actually know what they're doing, though I'm sure an actual producer is still indispensable for proper mixing. But for DIY musicians who just want their tracks to pop this is amazing.

    The final result is sounds just as good as all the music I listen to everyday through my headphones. I can really hear the difference between the bypass and mastered version. This product might be just what I need as a beginner.

    It's crazy how far technology has come. In my early 20s, my band(s) would spend thousands on crappy sounding demos inside studios. I'm sure you can still do that, but for less than what it cost us to make those demos, you can buy this kind of software and have a way better quality song and get it out much faster

    After watching this vid, I think I've completely changed my Method. Firstly, I think it all depends on what your GOAL is for your song. I have all 3 TT s/w, drums, keys, and EZmix, all #2 versions, and their mastering module. I have Studio One 5, a TON of Waves plugins, and some others, Izoptope, etc. MY own Goal is to get songs to Demo Ready level, which to me is, ready for me to Pitch and Place them so up the chain of the industry, some artist would say, Hey, I like that song, and I want to record it. The song does not have to be "Radio Ready". So with that thought, I am going to change my method to this on a song. I am going to Gain Stage every track, using Hornet's VU Meter MK4---great, fast and Cheap vst, then use EZMix 2 to do the rest, and see how it comes out. I also like that you see SEE what plugins are on each pre-set. I also know that even with Waves presets, you STILL have to Tweak everything, because every guitar is different, as an example. So some tweaking is still probably needed. I AGREE with one other comment, that you can drive yourself NUTS learning ALL the plugins, and that we dont need 10 of each EQ, Compressor, etc, even though these VST Co's think that you do! I also REALLY like the Abbey Rd collection in Waves. Only have my home recording studio for 18 mos, so this is another Phase of my learning experience! Hope this also might someone else in my boat!

    I've been using EZmix2 since it came out and I love its versatility and ease of use. That being said, I use it mostly for the outstanding bass/guitar Sims. However, if being used marginally in a mix to complement what's already going on then it can be really useful. I think this plugin is great for beginners and pros alike. The main thing to take away is the same as with any plugin, in that even if its a swissarmy knife of sorts it shouldn't be exclusively used in a mix. You would use just one microphone to record a band, then why use one plugin to mix.

    this is truly sent by the gods for me.....i spend soooo much time trying to get a decent tone and recording sound, and so little on the actual music....now, one question here, i use the Nameless Fortin Suite for guitar. Can I use Ez Mix to fine tune JUST the guitar tracks before mixing and mastering? Or having the Nameless plugin and ez mix on a guitar track is incompatible?

  • @richardwilliams1310
    @richardwilliams1310 6 лет назад +1

    How does it compare to using daw mixing templates like StudioMixPro, iZotope Neutron Elements Track Assistant & Ozone Elements Master Assistant (also found in Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio's iZotope Mastering Essentials)??? .... The new iZotope Spire Studio (audio interface hardware & iOS app combo) looks interesting too, but obviously relatively basic in its approach to recording & mixing audio

    • @richardwilliams1310
      @richardwilliams1310 6 лет назад

      Then there are online tools, like Soundtrap, Landr, BandLab, Cloudbounce, eMastered, Pro Master HD, Maztr ... most are designed for the final mastering stage and not recording & mixing.

      Plus there are tons of various mobile apps for iOS and Android too for all sorts of music creation, especially in the electronic/beat/synth and guitar amp sim categories and also various recording apps/tools like Positive Grid Final Touch, WaveMachine Labs Auria, Steinberg Cubasis, etc

      what you are doing, and control all the many parameters they have.

    • @Micas099
      @Micas099 5 лет назад

      It'll work without any expansion packs since the base includes the EZmix and EZmix 2 presets, so that's something like 350 presets. The expansion packs just give you more options. There's a sale on right now with EZ mix 2 and 6 packs of your choice for $299. That's a huge amount of pre-sets. I'd suggest making the 2 mastering packs part of that. Check their web site.

    Hey there Mr pro expert, we have a quick question is a question which no one seems to cover.
    And it would also be interesting if we get a reply, because most are only after the likes.
    And don't really care about fan base. We can get a sense that you're the good guy and you will.
    Will you nod. We have recently been using easy mix 2 and noticed that there is more versions than just one of the program, because we see your one has a tuning fork.
    However all that put aside, the question is.
    Do we need a compression chain such as the standard compression that comes with Reaper
    EQ and a gate. Because as we know everything is built into easy mix 2 would still pay to have
    a plug-in chain loaded. So we know we're going at the same at the right levels.
    Looking forward to reply with great interest as I see within the group a lot of people have asked that question and I'm sure they would also be looking forward towards an answer from you and would appreciate the answer,
    Warmly your highness oh Kiwi simply others helping others by sharing knowledge tools and strategies
