Great Review of an awesome product. I use for quick mixes during the writing/demo stage.
Just Ordered it with included 6 expansion packs to choose (one is even for mastering). I've been waiting for something like this. I always wished for good presets for instruments and mastering. Now I have to find the time to remix a ton of songs.
Bought this the other day with the 6 pack. So far having trouble deciding which ones to buy. I've settled on Mastering 1, Master 2 and the Vocal Toolbox so far.

I don't like mixing programs as I like doing everything myself, I feel like it gives me more control to create the sound in my head. But great demo man, looks like an awesome product!

Yes, it does, to a degree. The thing I am having trouble with is the use of the word "mix", I have a couple of small projects that sound ok, thru headphones in ProTools, but, bounce them out to an audio file and hey presto instant garbage. I don't understand how the "Mix" part of this software works? And whether it would help me with these projects? I want to concentrate on the music and not have to fiddle around with every parameter of Compression and eq and what not to make it sound decent.

Great software...But one question though..Do you still have to highpass the mud out first or does it also do that for you?
Nice review, thank you. Did you test it on an acoustic guitar recorded with a mic? What about voice?
And more important is there some "mastering preset"? I'm looking for an easy solution to master my recordings without spending a ton of money for a mastering engineer. A kind of "halfway solution" to master (not as good as real master but better than nothing ;-) ) like ez mix seems to be for mixing. Any ideas?

Hi David, is it advisable to eq your tracks before you add ezmix? I know that eq is an option in ezmix.
EZmix doesn't work for me. I don't understand why it wont work . I have garage band and all I hear is my voice going through it. No. I wish it would work because I spent the money but it wont work for me. Any suggestions? One thong I notices, see how your input and out put yellow markers are going up nd down? mine does not do that. Only voice makes it go up and down. IS it a button thatI have to click or settings I have to change or what?
But does it really produce good results! Like to get a tight rhythm track in ProTools with the 11R I have to at least record the track 3 times like send one right, send the other left, then record one in stereo panned left and right - are you saying that I can get the same results with just the one track with EZ Mix2 with guitars recorded dry? My head is spinning!
Dave, if i have already recorded my guitars with effects, direct from my multieffect to the Cubase. It is still possible to mix without adding too much effects that will change too much my original preset? thanks for the demonstration
The issue im having is that I see the review uses amp sims, but how do they sound? Are they a line 6 or an axe fx? I myself want to be able to change my cab impulses and stuff

hello! I've been thinking of buying ez mix 2 but I have a couple of questions about ez mix 2.
So far what I understand is that is mix is a vst that has presets for mixing. Is that correct or am I miss understanding what ez mix does?
Does it work with ez drummer 2?
Finally I have bias fx 2 does it work with that or is ez mix a amp sim too? Or does it work together with the amp sim and effects that I already have?
It works on everything, it can also do mastering. I think its great for learning and fast experimenting
Do you need a midi keyboard or a plugged instrument to record in this program? or is it somehow like Guitar Pro?

when you install it, you create an shortcut on your desktop.
The only thing homeboy forgot to mention is the terrible 92ms latency that you get from using the plugin. That's why you HAVE to record dry first and then use the plugin.
I am getting no latency with it at all on my iMac...

I am using an iMac 3.4GHz with 8GB ram. DAW was Presonus Studio One
ahahahahha, are u kidding me? im using i5-4210u which is only 1.7 and 2.7 at boost, 8gb ram and cubase and i got no latency, my latency is about 7-10ms, u just cant hear it.
