- s/v Little Bird leaves Grenada for our first Caribbean cruise through The Grenadines and up to Saint Lucia. Little Bird is a Balance 526 Catamaran built in South Africa. We really enjoyed Cumberland Bay in Saint Vincent!

@@SailingLittleBird We will be sailing between Grenada and St Martin and back starting in Jan. Perhaps we will meet up again. You were not to far from us in Bequia also.

Hi . My name is Hylton. I live in Cape Town. You have purchased one of the best performances catamarans in the world. First balance 526 to have a you tube channel. What options and upgrades did you choose for your yacht. I’m sure many followers would like to more of your sailing figures . Sail choices , wind speeds etc. what down wind sails did you choose. ? I want to make my purchase in South Africa but after speaking to balance the lead time for a new build is over 2 years. This is the case internationally for many yards. Did you consider the kinetic catamaran ? Even with a 3 million dollar budget I can’t get a 55ft catamaran in under two years as a new build😵💫😂.I’ll be watching your channel.
We ordered Little Bird pre-covid and the wait was still two years (we had a Catana and Seawind cat before). It seems that's what most of the yards are now for performance boats. Kinetic hadn't yet released the new boat, but they look awesome. We'll definitely start covering more about the boat in the videos. The electrical system was a focus (world boat with both 110 and 220). We'll cover that soon! Next episode will talk a little about downwind sails. Go see the Nexus factory if you haven't...
