Something hit me while listening to the very accurate complaint about how the AEW babyfaces just seem to get murderized left and right, week after week: years ago, when Cody was still there, it feels like the problem was the exact opposite. Remember when Cody was feuding with QT, and the last push build to their match was Cody kicking the shit out of the entire Nightmare Factory and putting QT in a figure four? Remember when Sting and Darby were feuding with Team Taz, and they tried to hype up a handicap match by having Sting seemingly getting revitalized by getting powerbombed off of the stage, and we watched both babyfaces kick the shit out of the entire heel team? It feels like Tony overcorrected from this and went way too far in the other way, because if two things don't go together, it's Tony Khan and balance.
