I do hope that remote tuning can be made available for the N platform. I'm running a Lap 3 pro tuner on my Veloster N for now and it works wonders for me. But when the time comes that I wanna get an actual ecu tune, having that remote tuning option would be awesome so I don't have to ship my ecu unit to any of them. Been talking to Daniel of N75 and he's a great smart guy within the KDM community so I'll probably choose him coz I'm from Canada. Great informative video 🙏🏼
@@AustinSWarren I've just been in the community for about 2 years and a lot of your videos would have give me a headstart. Even now I'm learning from them so I appreciate your work.

i see this video and think about buy a tune because i tune my own car but was thinking maybe i can go faster with a "professional" tune,i was wrong, the tune they send me tune was a disaster since day one and never give me more power than my own tune so i loose my money but i think this is how we learn the hard way...with my tune i ran 13.05@111mph...with the "pro" tune i ran 13.4@106 so you do the math...very good video and very informative.
Sorry to here that! What car was it? Sometimes it's about prioritizing safety, especially if you're a business. Running 13.4 might be safer long term for the car than having it tuned to run 13.0. But I guess if it also ran poorly too it wasn't that safe either.

Leonard is awesome. Fortunately I'm in NC with him. I met him at Rockingham last year, the very day I took the Stinger 1/4 mile record with Sxth Tune. Leo definitely was a part of that, he helped stage me, cleaned tires, dialed in my air pressure and pretty much hung out with me that whole day.

Hey bro is there a way I can dm you questions and shit i have a few things I need help with and I can’t find any info you’re channel is the best I’ve come across so far !
I’m at 67,000 km on my 2020 GTN Line 6 speed... the only mod I’ve done is a custom muffler delete and a K&N filter. The car sounds great and it has a nice pitch, it burbles and on upshifts it sometimes pop pop pops. I live an hour away from Toronto and I’m thinking N75 Motorsports is the way to go, great video but I still don’t get the remote tuning??? I want a little more power and a lot more sound, any advice on what to do...thanks
Awesome car! Basically with tuning, they are going to upload a file to your car's computer. Remote tuning just means, instead of driving an hour to have them do it. They are going to send you the hardware you need to connect you laptop to your car to upload that file. Now the benefit to going... Is if they have a dyno, they can reaaaallly dial it in. But I can't really speak for how much you're leaving on the table without the dyno... Every tuner is different
See I have cobb access port on Mazda but I also have sxth element ek1 pro n75 motorsport stage 3 for 19 Veloster N but didn't know if u can do e tuning w the ek1 pro
Just found the channel and I've been looking for someone with these kind of videos since I got my car. I got some bolt ons, and wish I could get the most out of them with the EK1. But, california.... any recommendations on what I could do or am I just kinda screwed.
I mean it seems sxth might be trying to go the carb legal route so maybe? But other than that there's not much I can tell you. I'm from Florida so it's the wild wild west in terms of car mods 😅
My current issue lol had a guy they specializes in kdm cars in Orlando do mine and it keeps throwing a p061b code which is a torque calculation error. Basically the car making more torque than it thinks. Car felt amazing until it goes into limp mode lol. Car is in the shop now getting a new clutch, downpipe and big turbo. Stock clutch was slipping with the power it made so that had to go. He said he thinks he knows why and how to fix it so I’m hoping he can do it otherwise I’ll be remote tuning like you recommended.
Lol I must be the other guy in Orlando. Yeah it sounds like whatever was done with tuning was not optimal. It's a torque based model for tuning but if you get it wrong it can cause lots of issues!
I’m struggling to put my tune on my 2016 VT I got it from N75 motorsports and when I plug it in and plug it in my laptop nothing pops up to download it. Help pls!
Hey man big question, so I'm personally looking at the jb4 as of this moment on my 2015 VT so I can spare the warranty if something goes wrong. However I'm not a huge fan of using my phone as the gauge cluster. Is there away you could use an EK1 pro just as an insight only module and it work with the JB4? I appreciate everything, have a great day.
You could definitely do that. It'd be a REALLY expensive gauge cluster though. I'd only get it if you planned to get a tune from sxth too. And as for warranty, a few people who work for at hyundai have commented befoee, if they wanted to find signs of a piggyback they could, you're not really saving yourself.
@@AustinSWarren I do plan to switch to sxth in the future and about the warranty I appreciate that info bc I did not know that, I guess my only hope would be that it’s not a Hyundai dealership that I bout it from so hopefully they wouldn’t dig into it as deep. So in your opinion would you just skip over the JB4 and go straight to ecu tuning?
@@Mooncake.S4 basically if your car hits 24psi when it's supposed to only hit 19psi. They can see that. But the likelihood of them digging that deep is low. Yeah, I'd just go with ecu tuning. It's better. That way you're not buying both eventually!
For most of the vendors I've described, no you don't. You can buy/rent their flashing hardware and do it at home with a laptop. There are some special cases like N ecu's or brand new ECU's that haven't been figured out yet. Those need to be shipped. But you'll see that on their sites :)
Haha yeah it was coming in and out in some shots. I don't have USM lenses so I can't leave them on autofocus and record audio from the camera without a bunch of noise haha
I didn't lol. They don't really have remote tuning in the way I'm speaking about it. You have to send them your ECU, so there's down time. They also call their tunes "canned" so that implies there aren't revisions so their isn't alot of optimization. I'm not saying they're bad, it's just not something I would recommend to a friend.
