    This video is about Boneless Leg of Lamb made in the Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker/Air Crisp
    If you've never cooked lamb or have been intimidated to make it because you thought that it wouldn't taste good, then wait until you watch this video and try the recipe for yourself. In this video, I will show you my recipe of how to cook a boneless leg of lamb using the roast, pressure cook and air fry features of the Ninja Foodi. The boneless leg of lamb recipe uses just a few easy to find ingredients. The first step is to marinade and season well the lamb meat before searing and then pressure cooking. Why use pressure cooking for a boneless leg of lamb? Well, just like searing meat helps to seal in the flavors and juices, the pressure cooking process will maintain the moistness of the meat keeping the boneless leg of lamb from getting dry. After the Ninja Foodi pressure cooker is done with this step, I follow it up by finishing the cooking by getting a good crust on the outside of the leg of lamb by using the Ninja Foodi's Air Crisp feature. I have included the ingredients list below.

    -----Here is the Ingredients List for the Boneless Leg of Lamb Recipe--
    Boneless Leg of Lamb Recipe Ingredients
    4 Lb. Boneless Leg of Lamb
    1-2 Medium Potatoes
    1 Medium Onion
    2-3 Carrots
    5-6 Cloves Garlic Minced
    1/4 Cup Olive Oil
    1/4 Cup Rice Vinegar
    1 Cup White Wine
    Salt
    Black Pepper
    Italian Seasoning (Basil, Oregano, Parsley, Thyme & Mint)
    ---------Cooking Instructions--------------------
    Sear the outside of the lamb. Remove the lamb from the pan and set aside.
    Next, add olive oil into the pot and lightly saute the remaining minced garlic, chopped carrots, onions and potatoes.
    Now place the seared boneless leg of lamb on top of the vegetables in the pot.
    Add 1-2 cups of liquid (Chicken Broth, Water or White Wine) and begin pressure cooking for 15 minutes followed by 10 minutes of Natural releasing.
    Remove the lamb and vegetables from the pressure cooker and clean the pot.
    Place the lamb into the air frying pan to air fry for 10-15 minutes until the meat temperature gets to 130°F medium rare - 150°F Medium well.
    Remove the meat and let rest for 10 minutes.
    -------------------------Making the Gravy----------------------------
    Make sure to use the lamb drippings for the gravy.
    Skim off any additional fat from the liquid then add about 2 tsp of cornstarch and continue to stir until desired thickness is achieved.
    Remove butchers string from the lamb, slice and plate up with some steamed broccolini and the roasted vegetables.
    Enjoy!

    Joe, I made this last night (a couple of modifications/substitutions) what a treat! GREAT way to prepare Costco staple Australian lamb. Didn't have white wine but used Better than Bouillon Vegetable Stock, small potatoes skin-on. Your timings are perfect and the vegetables AMAZING. Will be repeating this, and it got me to subscribe to this channel! I also didn't have the vinegar you suggested for the marinade...so I took a risk and used some BALSAMIC I had and the result was great!

      Did you unwrap the Costco leg, season it and retire it later? Or just season the outside? I have one to cook today

    • @YourEverydayJoe
      @YourEverydayJoe  3 года назад +1

      Yes I unwrapped, seasoned and then rolled it up and re tied it. 😎

      @@YourEverydayJoe I ended up doing that - it was easier than I thought it would be. It took me way more time to cook it though. I think next time I will PC 20+ minutes - I had to finish it with a lot of Air Crisping time while we were eating sliced lamb I had finished cooking in the microwave.

      @YourEverydayJoe  3 года назад

      Thanks for the update. Not sure if I would have cooked it in the microwave. You may want to consider using a meat thermometer so that you can be sure of the internal temperature.

    • @YourEverydayJoe
      @YourEverydayJoe  2 года назад +1

      @Patricia Hernandez the time will depend on the size of the shoulder and the version of air fryer you have. I always recommend using a meat thermometer to verify the temperature. Thanks for the comment and support 😊🙏
