I was thinking exactly the same thing! When this game came out, I'd play the soundtrack on my CD walkman especially the track at 22:55. It helped me concentrate whenever I was doing my homework when I was in highschool.
As primitive as the Game was, by today's standards, playing Settlers 3 as a 13 year old in 2000, it still had a nostalgic atmosphere that took you back in time! Classic soundtrack.
Settlers 3 has been my first love in strategy games and I still consider it one of the best because of the feeling it transmitted, for soundtracks and the complexity in economical management.
