That was a sizeable ball of shed. Try a green tea rinse weekly. That will help. Also as we age, our hair thins. Take a closer look at your crown. You are beautiful. So is your hair.
I've been going back and forth with the whole "silver fox " thing🤣🤣😆. Like you I've been gray at a young age😔😔. Since middle school!! 😌 I'm almost 40 now😳😂. I think its time to embrace what I've always known to be my fate.🥰🙏🏾🤷🏾♀️
I thought the picture of your mom was you! My hair is growing but I still have about a year before I’m happy with the length. I can do a high puff at this point since it’s about 6 inches at the longest areas.
Love this! I am 25 yrs. old and 50 percent of my hair is already gray because of genetics. I am so tired of dying my hair black. Thank you for sharing your journey! My hair is very similar to yours and the same exact gray color:)
Absolutely beautiful Samantha. You've inspired me so much! You and your hair, your journey.. it's been so amazing watching you grow your silver hair out! ❤️
Love the white hair. Mine is the same. It comes in the front, but doesn't come down all the way like it use to. It's stuck at the root. Yours look really nice.

I'd love to see your behind the scenes of how you film and edit! Your videos are always put together so well!!
I gave up on my hair but i love watchin hair videos for my daughter 4c hair he hates it because its thick and way shorter when it tightens but i need her to love her hair the way it is but with youtube and media tell her it needs to be long and straight down her back, i do my best.
Hey Sam! Your hair obviously loves products that contain coconut oil. As you said, you have to listen to your hair. Everyone needs to find what works from them & develop their own regimen. I went through a *whole lot* of trial & error. People need to finally realize there's no one size fits all for guaranteed lengthy growth. By the way, I got real lazy with my steamer, not even sure where it is.😆
Love love love your hair, love your tips. I’m just starting my curly hair journey, and I’m in the process of trying different products and different brushes to see what my hair likes. I have mixed texture hair and don’t know how to categorize it, so trial and error is my goal right now. Thanks for your video. It really clarify why my journey/products may be different from someone else’s. ❤
Genetics do play a major part in hair growth. Everybody in my family have thick hair. Our hair grows fast. Some of us cut it off and some will keep our hair long.
I really enjoyed this! I do all of this except cowash...I always have an itchy scalp...but I agree with everything you’ve said! Great video and great content!!! Love your hair as always!!!
How do you embrace your hair?? I despise my grey I just recently turned 39 and been having grey since age 24 and mines are in the middle of my head. It started getting worse at the age of 35. I felt so insecure!! People would say that I have a young-looking face but I felt old because of the grey. But now I am actually relatively middle-aged so I have to learn on to embrace it!! Thanks for your courage to open up about your situation with your beautiful hair!! I too just did the big chop on my hair a couple of months ago!!
We have similar hair texture but still different I use loc method and lately I'm using my fav oil and water only and my hair loves it really! My grey's are naturally coming in beautifully. It will be 3 yrs natural no color or dyed or a relaxer. My hair loves to be brushed and I cannot get over my curls!
Great video. You have a beautiful head of hair😍. I watched this video and was like isn't she from Surinam? And you are😋. I also big chopped my hair in october 2018, also did a tapered cut🤣🤣. I had relaxed hair but wanted to return natural. I have also reached apl, and thought my hair grew a bit slow. Now I realise that is not the case. Thank you for the video about the gray hairs. Just yesterday I was like I am not ready for all these gray hairs. But you have inspired me to try and accept it. So thank you❤
I wonder if you ever desired to experiment with color rinses? It’s temporary and your natural light color would take the rinse well! I seen this with other gray ladies ✨💕
No fair sis I have hair envy 😃 so beautiful your family pics are beautiful my hair was thick when I was young but now it's thin and will not grow. Thanks for sharing.
For people who are scared of coconuts for their hair, there is a more slimy detangling product just like the african pride one from just for me. “Just for Me Curl Peace Tender Head Detangling Treatment”
Love it but I think you're much too rough handling your hair...tairing it out! Finger detange it. Don't comb it but once in a while. That's my tip for you! Ps. Your hair is gorgeous 😍!
Well mine is loose but Im still not getting it. If its growing then I'm not retaining length do you believe this? Or it from not combing? My hair has been shoulder length all my life! @Samantha Pollock

my favorite scripture~yes
Yes and amen!
WHAT U SAID 💯THE LORD IS MY SHEPARD 🙏🏼
Amén girl!
AMEN and AMEN!!
I'm so glad you mentioned genetics in the first place, that plays a huge role in how our hair grows!! Very simple and yet some don't understand that.
Yes! Genetics play the biggest role
Yes! Exactly
I'm just sad I wasn't blessed with feast growing hair :(
It's not that big of a role actually.
Some women can color their hair and it'll still grow long and fast and won't break off; genetics.
I have thoroughly enjoyed your grey hair journey
Same here 🙋
Aaw thank you 💕
That pic of your mom was so pretty and stylish 😍
Aaw thank you so much ❤️
That was a sizeable ball of shed. Try a green tea rinse weekly. That will help. Also as we age, our hair thins. Take a closer look at your crown. You are beautiful. So is your hair.
In the picture you posted of your mother, you look just like her, eventhough you stated that you look more like your paternal grandmother....
Agree
Aaw thank you 🤎

Do it! I have never been as confident about who I am until I went naturally grey. 🙂
Trust me I understand and I will be 40 next year and this grey has always been a struggle!!
I am itching to become a silver fox! My temples are grey and I have a lot of longer strands mixed in. I am ready!!
I also noticed that you routinely trimmed your ends. That helps in retaining length.
I thought the picture of your mom was you!
My hair is growing but I still have about a year before I’m happy with the length. I can do a high puff at this point since it’s about 6 inches at the longest areas.
The gray is beautiful!
What a beautiful head of hair!
Thank you 💕

I know you didn't ask me but she big chopped to embrace her grey hair. She cut off the color.
👍
Love it but I think you're much too rough handling your hair...tairing it out! Finger detange it. Don't comb it but once in a while. That's my tip for you! Ps. Your hair is gorgeous 😍!
Good morning beautiful
Step 1: having loose curly hair with mixed ancestry. Next case. Imma watch advices from my type 4 girls
Nobody forcing you to watch this video. Watch your videos for 4 type girls then 🤷🏽♀️
So unnecessary!
Well mine is loose but Im still not getting it. If its growing then I'm not retaining length do you believe this? Or it from not combing? My hair has been shoulder length all my life! @Samantha Pollock
Why watch or comment at all?? So weird.
