We love you bill. Thank you for sharing so much through the years. I pray you have good health into the next 20 years. Your an inspiration and influential teacher of fly fishing to people around the world in the last 20 or so years. Thank you you have been my favorite host along with Colin of course lol Paule From Montana
Great video, Bill. I can only dream of going there. I've been limiting most of my fishing to river fishing, Michigan spring creeks these days. Easier access, wading and no dealing with elbow to elbow pool hogs. Like you, age and injuries are catching up, slowing me down and I don't like (feel safe) fishing alone much, anymore. This years heat and heavy rains really put a damper on a lot of the best part of the season this year. You take care my friend. Thank you for all the great shows.
I am from the U.K. we have seen the wholesale destruction of our sea trout and Atlantic Salmon mostly by the fish farming industry, and a few other things, if you lads in north America don’t stop them they will finish you off as well, strength to your arm. I wish you good luck.
Watching I saw the guide tail a salmon with a white glove on his hand some years ago! Just to remind everyone, this practice is frowned upon now after we discovered it can remove the protective slime from the salmon inviting infection that may later kill the fish you so thoughtfully live released believing no harm had been done! Also take your pictures with the fish in the water in your soft net, no need to lift it out for memories!! Tight lines!
Very sad bill was always the best host on this show heartbreaking to see how bad climate change is effecting you guys in canada our salmon rivers here in scotland have collapsed
Those Horse Flies are the worst as they do bite hard and it's very painful. The sun now days seems to be hotter than I can ever remember. It's like being microwaved with the burning feeling much more than the high temps. Man should not mess with nature. It's nice to view a peaceful video in the outdoors fishing without all the other hype. I too am 72 and working to keep active and outdoors activity is where it is at away from all the crowds. Great video now it's time to go and wet a line.
Man should not mess with nature as he rips holes in fish's mouth. Climate changes but Man has little to no impact. 72 is old for mankind but in the grand scheme of earth's eternal change, Man is insignificant. Climate change is going to occur with or without us
Thanks for the video Bill. Loved it. 2:13 Just back from fishing both Forteau and Pinware and experienced similar conditions and results. Love the format you and Phil use but am disappointed with the NFF latest efforts. Been fishing Atlantic Salmon for over 50 years and have never heard of “the eat”. It’s called a “rise” in every country I’ve fished AS. Don’t destroy your credibility!
Couldn’t agree more. Almost all the recent NFF shows have the host talking about s salmon eating the fly or,as noted “the eat”. This is importing American trout fishing language into Atlantic salmon fishing. Salmon rise and sometimes even “take” the fly, they don’t eat it, they don’t eat anything after entering fresh water. Salmon fishing is a different culture from trout fishing.
Climate change is definitely rearing its ugly head and we can disagree why but we cannot pretend it isn’t happening right in front of our eyes!! Regardless, we must do what we can to mitigate it the best we can! I am in my 70’s too so appreciate not being able to walk for miles and miles as I could in my prime!!
You are a legend Bill! Been spending my Saturday morning watching your show for aslong as I can remember ❤❤

Sorry to hear about the health issues. I'm 72 & I know how frustrating that can be. Best of luck.
Bill is a legend and an incredible host. Wishing him all the best.
Your Awesome Bill! You gave me a new fly fisher hat signed by you at Igloo lake Lodge. Wish you all the best!

I like that wading staff.
Loved it Bill. And i really appreciate NFF showing a video with tough fishing. God Bless and Tight Lines, Anthony Hipps
You may have seen the best days there. Not sure about Labrador, but Atlantic salmon fishing has been off for two years in Newfoundland.
Water is life!!

The Spice Man is a giant as far as I’m concerned
Great video, but I thought that Atlantic Salmon were super finicky fish. You seem to have no trouble hooking up.
What is the white boat in the video?
I guess we will never (Fucking know!) 27:05 lmfao!
