Also, I have a pretty extensive scar on my finger, not gonna go into graphic detail but it was serious injury. I might try vitamin e on it, but it can get quite uncomfortable.

If you’re looking for an spf with actual pigment coverage, I can highly recommend Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream. The swatches will look really dark, but they lighten up considerably when you apply, so choose the tone that best fits. I have very light cool toned skin with mild rosacea, and the light beige one evens out my redness like a dream without the need for further concealer/foundation when I just want a quick low makeup day.
EVERYONE says that’s really great. I’m gonna have to give up and try it even though I usually do sunscreen and coverage in different steps (so that even if I’m not wearing makeup I remember sunscreen…but I’ll just consider it skincare and keep it with that stuff and prob still remember)
How does it do with dryness? I have rosacea that gets nasty scaly patches and it seems like nothing helps.
Yes!!! Love this stuff. I don't wear it on days that I need longevity, but 7-8 hours, it does great.

Finally someone who didn't like the bum bum cream! I bought a deluxe size last year and I hated it. It smells not good at all and it's not really good at moisturizing..especially not for the money you have to pay for it..I'll stick to my Rituals body butters. They are not cheap, but they are really good.

I can’t stand the bum bum cream either! I didn’t even bother picking up the Mecca beauty loop bonus with this is in because I find the scent so sickening and overwhelming. You’re the first person I’ve seen with the same opinion haha. I bought that Embacci scrub on your recommendation and love it! Thanks Kat 😘
If you love rosehip oil, but it's too heavy for you, or you want a lighter version for day- I mix rosehip oil, rose absolut in jojoba (it usually comes pre-diluted only at the store), and squalene. You can add jojoba on its own and/or aloe to adjust. It's my favorite face blend, just lovely to use, and so much less spendy than commercial versions. I hate looking at a wonderful sounding blend, then realizing it's very watered down & is mostly filler and fragrance. I got a bottle of Farmacy's Honey Grail oil in boxycharm and it was a beautiful formula to the touch, but $48 for a blend that wasn't even all oil, and with a splash of "honey extract," which is not going to deliver 90% of the benefits of actual honey, it's mostly a flavorant.

Love this long format video ! I would like to here you reflect about your declutter/depotting series from last year (lipstick, eyeshadow especially PMG). Do you miss something, any regrets, would you like to rebuy something, do you use things more...?
Good questions! I might talk about that if I have an upcoming chatty video or when I reintroduce the series. Short answer is luckily no! I don’t miss anything, no regrets, no urge to rebuy anything. I do use the things I kept more than I used them before, but that being said I don’t use them much because of panning/reviewing other makeup. So far declutter is doing well, I just need to start it up again haha.

I love a long empties video! Have to correct you a little bit on your sunscreen explanation. The reflect vs absorb thing is an oversimplification, and basically all sunscreens absorb. I think I've learned that from labmuffinbeautyscience! You don't have to suffer with filters you don't like just because they reflect a small bit of sun rays. Use what feels best :)
Yeah it is an oversimplification, but I didn’t want to go into the science of SPF too deeply since this is just an empties video 😆

I don’t really like vitamin C products either. I feel like they irritate my skin. I also detest the bum bum cream. I cannot stand it’s scent. On another note, you look exceptionally beautiful today and I love a long video.
Oof, I hate the bum bum cream. It dried out my skin and instead of that intensely gourmand fragrance evaporating over hours, it weirdly intensified and did unpleasant things with my body chemistry. I smelled like a pack of cream donuts left out in the sun in the dead of Atlanta summer. Sorry your CK fragrance is discontinued; it sounds lovely! Aquatic and....pebbles? Guess it's going for that petrichor kinda vibe. I feel like beautiful aquatic or green scents so often get discontinued while the ones that smell like white florals or bon bons never do. Good for the folks who like those scents.

Have you tried the Du'it Tough Shield Santising Hand Cream? Hand sanitiser and hand cream in one. Amazing product. Cured my sister's dermatitis between her fingers within a week. We have bought multiples from their website (doesn't appear available at CW) and cannot live without it.

You have tried so many things, I would love to know what your holy grail products are for each category.
The problem is that I don’t only have one holy grail per category. Take lip products for examples… sometimes I want a balm or a gloss, or a glossy lipstick, or a matte finish… bullet? Liquid? Sometimes I want sheer, pigmented, comfort, longevity, natural colour, unique colour etc etc. There’s never just one holy grail for the lip product category, it all depends on what I want at that time 😅
Well that’s fair, I am the same. I guess those are like categories of their own, like matte lipstick, blotted lipstick, buttery lipstick, gloss in lipstick form, glossy lip stain.. and those would take a long time to list! When I see that you like a product, am always thinking, ooh she likes that one, but is it better than the tonymoly shocking lip? Is it better than the mac powderkiss slim? 😂 You have tried so many formulas you are a bank of knowledge, and I always end up LOVING the products you rave about. Anyway, love your videos, thanks for responding. 🧡

I agree with you. The eye cream from La Roche Posay is not super good, or super effective. It is just basic and boring. I don't know if you have access to a large range of products from Bioderma but there is one eye cream made for itchy, sensitive eyelids which comes in a 100ml tube, and is absolutely fantastic. It is called Atoderm intensive eye.
The whole atoderm range is great and you can have a bigger bottle because their moisturizers are thought of as 'face and body'
This is not a popular opinion i don’t think but everything I’ve tried from la roche posay is underwhelming for the price for me. I always figured it was just something about my skin that doesn’t work with it but now I’m wondering…
I think people respond well to some formulations (and brands) than others. LRP almost always works for me (besides the eye cream, but no eye cream really does much for me) but there are many popular brands that I just don’t get… my skin hates Drunk Elephant, my skin doesn’t see the hype with Sunday Riley… but then I know people who are obsessed with them. I think it’s a matter of finding what your skin likes and sticking with it. LRP is something I stick with personally, but it’s equally fine to not like it 😊 edit: also I forgot to add that I only buy it on sale. Even though I love it, I don’t love paying full price for it 😆
Thanks for the Bioderma eye cream recommendation, I’ve used it once and i already have some relief for my itchy, dry , irritated ,sensitive eyes. Yes I look a little scary right now! 😎 Seriously , I wore sunglasses to the pharmacy to pick this stuff up today. I had been using the La Roche Posay eye cream , with zero results . I like a lot of their other products, but this stuff is not good.

This is random but can you talk about your hair cut? I chopped mine off thanks to post partum hair loss and I hate the cut whenever I go short it takes 2 tries for it to look right idk why. I love your face framing bangs and your hair is the leangth I need right now
I haven’t had a hair cut for nearly a year haha. I just cut my own fringe occasionally and I usually cut it really badly but the curls hide it 😆 I’m in desperate need of a good cut but I’m waiting for my hair to grow a bit longer first so I can keep length

Best of luck! I find the best thing is to try different hair dressers until you find one that cuts your hair how you want it, and then stick with them! I found a great one but she’s an hour drive away and I just haven’t had the time to take a day to get my hair cut haha.
