The sculpture that looks like a real-life cartoon

- Gibbs Farm, in New Zealand, is an enormous private sculpture collection. Its most famous piece is Horizons, by Neil Dawson - and it looks like a cartoon tissue somehow painted onto the landscape. To see it in person, though, will take a bit of effort.

This feels like a video I'd make years ago: just going to a place and talking about a thing. I'm not saying that I'm returning to that style, but it's nice to bring it back occasionally.
If you do, I'd support that! Just raw "this thing is here, and exists"
Fair enough
Manually delayed youtube uploads
There's a thing. The thing is cool. The thing has a story behind it. Tom Scott goes to the thing and explains the story.
Works for me.

Do you ever think that things like Stonehenge were just pieces of art. Maybe future archeologists will look at this farm and think something similar to what we think of stonehinge.
Well, I'd like to believe you, but most things behind it are much more well documented now. The only way archaeologists will think of it the same way as we do of Stonehenge is if all the information about it was lost.
Stonehenge was likely a piece of art but the thing that people wonder is how they managed to move those rocks.

The sculptor was one of my tutors when i studied graphic design in Christchurch. He was just getting into large scale public art. He was a nice guy but I could tell he knew I was incompetent.
For anyone wondering where it exactly is :
It is in the Wellsford area on the way to hellensvill, you have to go to Auckland airport than drive north if you live over seas, you can see it on the way to hellensvill but only some.
Hope this helped in Any way!

Owner seems like a cool guy.
Makes it explicitly clear this isn't some kind of museum or art show, it's his private property but he's willing to share it with a limited amount of people free of charge.
It's a win-win for everyone; he keeps his family retreat free of limitless unwanted tourists but still allows anyone who really wants to reserve a ticket and visit during designated times.
