- Rukiye Abdul- Mutakallim, a bereaved mother from Cincinnati, has shown remarkable strength and compassion by forgiving the teenagers who killed her son Sulaiman in 2015. Sulaiman was shot as he walked home. Three young men shot him, then stole his money and the food he had bought for him and his wife.

I salute her
she's very kind and true Muslim Mother❤❤❤
No, she's not. It's haram in Islam for a married woman to hug a man who isn't family or her husband.
@@Tom-hr1cmwtf 🤣🤣🤣
That’s all you got out of this is a hug smh?🤦🏽♀️
@@dominiqueale369 It's true, though. Married women shouldn't hug other guys, and she hugged him despite being married. If a MAN had hugged a girl like this, you'd say it was wrong. You literally got R Kelly locked up for hugging teenage girls, so please don't try and act smart
@@Tom-hr1cmPeople like you are the reason Islam is hated in the western countries. Islam forbids married women to hug a fully grown adult man , and the accused is clearly a teen underage boy.
Everyone in the room (including me) is crying rn. Strong woman masha'Allah.
A strong woman doesn't do haram things like HUG a guy who did something bad to her son. No physical contact means no physical contact. She doesn't even hug her own husband and that's fact. I'd divorce her for this.
@@Tom-hr1cmshut up and stop judging people like you're God in every comment. Allah is sufficient as a witness.
She is a loving mother - I can learn a lot from her, please help me!
No, she's not, she's un-faith-ful; she HUGGED that man when she never even hugged her own son. That's very depraved and it's haram for her to be hugging another guy anyway
@@Tom-hr1cm not very judging are you. Only Allah swt judges.
She is a better person than most all of the us. I wish we could ALL understand the power of honest forgiveness and love. I pray this young man one day understands what has been done and learns to live how this wonderful woman lives. He has been blessed by G-d
Bravo strong mother, may Allah give you a place in cennat
Allah won't give her a place in Cennat, because what she did is haram. You cannot hug someone who isn't family or who you're not married to. She didn't even hug her own son nor does she hug her own husband, so to HUG this guy despite having a hijab on is extremely disrespectful and haram. Sorry
@@Tom-hr1cm so you tell us who is in cenna or who not😂 shut up man
@@Tom-hr1cm Thank you for sharing your perspective. While I respect your interpretation, it's important to recognize that forgiveness and compassion are central themes in Islam. Rukiye Abdul-Mutakallim's act of forgiveness towards her son's killer was driven by her desire for peace and closure, not by any inappropriate feelings. Islam teaches us to prioritize forgiveness and mercy, and Rukiye's actions exemplify these values.
It's also crucial to remember that Allah is described as the most merciful and compassionate in Islamic teachings. He understands the intentions and circumstances behind our actions. As the Quran states in Surah An-Nur, 22: 'And let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.'
Furthermore, the hadith narrated by Anas bin Malik highlights the importance of helping both the oppressed and the oppressor, with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) advising us to prevent oppression in any form.
Rather than focusing on specific interpretations of religious rules, let's remember the broader context of compassion and forgiveness in Islam. Rukiye's gesture should inspire us all to cultivate empathy and understanding, even in the face of adversity. May we all strive to emulate such acts of kindness and forgiveness in our own lives.
May peace be upon you.
Tom, if you are Muslim I’d urge you to read your Quran and the party where it says Bismillahi Rahman ir Raheem. If you aren’t Muslim, why are you speaking on us like you know us?
Islam say forgiveness is a most powerful weapon 😊
This is one of those videos that would have a gazillion views in a sane world.
The original video from USA today has 40 million views.
This woman is very kind. Honestly if it was me I would be very sad and angry if anyone killed my love ones. And by the way I am a Muslim
Grace and Mercy!!!
Islam gives power
She's a better person than me...I'm taking out everyone, including the family goldfish
I Salute her,
If only everyone was like her. ❤️ And why wouldn't you forgive? He's a mentally ill person. It wasn't his fault. I wish people would find it in their hearts to understand and forgive...
Is that supposed to be a joke? And hugging is haram in Islam; that young man isn't her son, he isn't her husband, so there's ZERO reason for her to hug him
Buddy thats not the point@@Tom-hr1cm
"and the truth will set you free."
may allah gudie her and keep her imaan strengthed ameen
May allah bless her and her family and ease their pain,.
What she displayed was true Islam and how a true Muslim she is.

How to see a better way of life.
The western media will never show this
They did show it, and it's haram for a married woman to hug a guy who isn't a family member or her husband.
@@blake9668you forgor the point
I would ever forgive.
I would never do what she did here, and I am also a Muslimah. Forgiveness comes from Allah only. Not me.

Surah Ash-Shura Ayat 43 (42:43 Quran) With Tafsir
(42:43) But he who patiently endures and forgives, that is a conduct of great resolve
@@yonosupri879 Allah frowns upon married women doing haram things like HUGGING. She had no reason to hug the guy who did that to her son
@@blake9668 it's called compassion. Having heart close to Allah made you forgive human beings who does hurt you. This is haram; married women aren't supposed to hug other guys who aren't family or her husband. And no, he is NOT her son as she did not raise him. The fact that the Muslim community in the U.S. thinks this story is "heartwarming" shows how little they know about Islam
i feel bad for ur way of thinking
of course it was a heartwarming story. the way she forgave the killer of her son, and the ‘hug’ is another problem, yes it was haram. but the point of this video was to showing that Islam is not like the stereotype the islamophobic thinks.
He's like a son to her
@@litimhmida2793 No, he's not. But nice try. That's like saying the girls R Kelly met up with were like daughters to him lol. You kmow very well that if a middle-aged man had HUGGED a girl like that, you wouldn't be saying it's fatherly
@@berber4everG Because I don't condone lascivous behavior from women? She's from Mauritiania, so that's probably why she behaved in a haram manner
