Hey Kayla, I would require a help while making a Project Charter. How do I calculate the estimated time frame and expense (cost) of that particular project.. I would be grateful if you come up with an example.. Thanks in advance!
Hi and thanks for your question! Depending on the type of project and your experience with managing similar projects, a timeframe estimate at project charter stage will likely be very rough. At that point I would use similar projects as a baseline to estimate duration and expense, with the understanding this is simply an estimate. Once you gain approval and enter the planning phase, you will explore the project with more granularity and consult with SMEs to develop more accurate estimates. This is a great question and worthy of its own video - I'll keep this in mind as I'm creating content going forward. Good luck with your project!
