Toronto: Shooting victim escorted by police with lights and sirens 5-11-2020

At 10h pm on Monday May 11th 2020, a man was shot while sitting in a car at the corner of Kipling and John Garland in the Rexdale neighborhood of Toronto, Canada. The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to a trauma hospital via the emergency run seen in this video. The patient was transported to Sunnybrook Hospital by land ambulance while being escorted by numerous TPS police cruisers with lights and sirens. The footage in this video was filmed at the corner of Kipling and Rexdale shortly after the crews started the transport. Injuries to the victim are considered serious but non life-threatening.

That’s a big escort even by Canada standards. That’s something I would expect to see in the states
the don't always escort people like that in Canada it was only for this call as all the officers were in the area

@@Joe-qq7yr Considering that this shooting took place in Etobicoke, and needing to rush the victim to Sunnybrook’s Trauma Centre ( which is 26km away ) the amount of cruisers seem to be enough.
