    Yeah, I agree that using the candle wax technique is really smart. I normally use isopropyl alcohol to find the shorted caps. Hadn't thought of the wax.

      I would bet the wax melts faster and results are more visible. Smart technique.

      The smd capacitors are not polarised

      I live here in RP and one thing I have learned about filipinos is they are very resourceful. They have to be. They don't have the luxuries of the rest of us. They have to do the best with what they have. I admire them for that.

    1 things I didn't catch you after you removed the capacitor when it's over heating.
    Did you replace it by a new capcitor.
    And how you know how much volts and uf capcitor should be replaced.

      Thank for watching. I don't know the exact value of the capacitor I have replaced. It's maybe about 4.7 uf to 10 uf 50 volts. It shows in the video that it doesn't have value on it. Its common uses of those capacitors are for decoupling or filter, Its does not informant the exact value whether 2.2, 4.7, 10, 22. microfarad It's okay any of this.

      The shorted line is 5 volts. It's safe to inject 3 volts to 6 amps unless you inject more than 5 volts.

      He would probably say, minimum voltage and amps as nedessary for it to get hot. You don't want the component to blow up in your face!

    If so what causes it?

      Some display panel may have that line in the long run. It's not durable as you know.

      @@RC-Heli835 I am having same problem with my Hanbishi 24" 1080p except it started with one bold black horizontal line, now I have three more thin black horizontals. I was told by hanabishi repair tech it is the panel and not cost efficient to replace the panel.

      See the reply to Fardeen, above. Most of the time these components can be removed/eliminated without problem; they are only for noise protection, and do not usually affect the performance of the circuit.
