  • Is this the Peloton for piano? Lumi Keys by Roli is a multi-layered approach to teaching piano with a rainbow midi keyboard, interactive video lessons, games, and a vast library of hit songs. See the newest game coming to the Lumi app, Springboard, a platform jumping challenge. I've had problems with Roli. I have a £700 Seaboard Rise 25 which no longer connects through Bluetooth MiDi, and also another Midi block keyboard which has the same problem. Roli did fix the Seabaord so I could use USB, but it's no good unless I get a really long USB lead. I am disappointed that both items went wrong after such a short time. I hope the Lumi keyboards are better made, and they should have some sort of extended guarantee available, especially for the higher priced items

    If it's pricy for you - do not buy it. Simple as that.
    Buy a cheap keyboard and be happy. Nobody complaining about cost of Ferrari or Maserati. Buy cheap and no problem....
    Quality of the keyboard is very nice, and looks much better in real life than on video. Very bright and vivid colors, and material of the keys is nice as well. It is MIDI controller, *including wireless MIDI.* You can connect 2 or more keyboards (it is like blocks)... Roli Studio edition include software if you buy from Roli website. Lessons are optional, 80 bucks is extended version with more lessons and songs, but plenty included in free version of the app.
    ....nobody force you to buy it (all that crying about price). You can wait for promo discount on holidays etc.
    With all that buzz, take a look at the price of the "haken audio slim continuum s70l6x" or Linnstrument.

    That's an egregious ongoing price. As others have mentioned it would make more sense just to get online lessons from a pro.

    • @BridgetCarey
      @BridgetCarey 3 года назад +1

      It does come with a number of lessons and songs included for the price of the keyboard. For the $30 extra you pay for the Lumi Complete subscription, it's not bad at all for the value (at least in this first year promotional deal). But the team would certainly need to keep adding more and more courses to make it worth it for a second year's subscription to someone who uses it a lot. You're paying for all the programming here for the lessons.

    I started a long time ago the course from Pianote. Then I did start using Simply Piano. Now I own the LUMI. It's my second keyboard. I am just not satisfied with it. Only because I need to search for everything. Like how to connect my Bluetooth earphones, how to charge it, how much time does it take, when I need to charge it. I find that I own the product, but I need to deal with it. The manual is too thin. At least there is a lot of information on the web also on RUclips. Because I don't know exactly what I would do.
