This is simply untrue. OK VA VPN by the very nature are adding a letter of encryption to what is almost certainly already encrypted. They’re not faster I mean, granted if you’re using free proxy services that are you know shady at best then you may be seeing performance issues, but if you’re using a professional proxy, they’re not encrypting your data there simply anonymizing you and they are way faster.
