I saw his documentary about Love on PBS in September of 1983. My mother was in the hospital at that time and mmediately, I went to tell her how much I loved her and appreciated all that she had done for me. On November 18, she had a heart attack and died before I could get to the hospital. As I stood at her graveside 2 days later, it was so comforting to know that I had let her know how much I loved her. Thank you, Dr. Buscaglia..

It is hard to believe but I read his books back in 1970s and guess what I remember the phrase he stated: "Everyone deserves to love and be loved. " This man helped me but when you are around people that are negative and at times we forget about love because we can't see love around them -it is dangerous believe me. You must become the essence of love which I did when I had my children." It is amazing this man was incredible and generous man to teach about "love." Also, Dr. Wayne Dwyer too. Both of these men were helpful to me and I learned to be in love and to express my love to those I cared for.

There is absolutely nobody like Leo Buscaglia! His words and teachings are ageless and apply to everyone. Nobody should go through life without knowing leao and his messages of love, happiness, joy and acceptance.

This man changed my life. I grew up in an alcoholic household an abusive family no self-worth no confidence completely confused about the world and what would be my place in it. He taught me that I had to make my own place and to do it, It would be best to build it with love

I believe if you can rid yourself of dying you've rid yourself of most fears...then you live with integrity with the intent of dying with no regrets..and love of all great good things creates passion for more of it

    • @HelloThere.....

Tell me then, why are some people willing to die for their beliefs? Suicide bombers? Martyrs? I would say our greatest fear is not death, it is to be immoral. Now your idea of what is moral might not coincide with someone else's, or what is actually truly moral, but in your own view it is unacceptable to be immoral (that's kind of the definition).
I think first off it's impossible to actually get rid of a fear because fear is an emotion and you cannot control your emotions, only your actions. You can however develop courage to still ACT despite the fact that you might do something immoral. You should try not to do what is wrong, but I think the greatest fear we need to overcome is the fear of doing what is wrong when trying to do what is right, and we need to try anyway despite that possibility. If we do not, we lose our soul.

It's the same thing with trust, it's like trust exposes you to be damaged by the person you trust. Trust opens your heart up to both love AND attack. So you can hide forever, never trust anyone, and never let anyone hurt you, but then they will also never be able to love you. And in not opening up, you have also not trusted yourself, so no one else can hurt you, but YOU will hurt yourself.
It's kind of the same idea. It's just the idea of courage to taking risks in general

Letterman was completely outclassed, and in fact came over as a complete idiot. That’s exactly what’s wrong in American society today, and every day we pay the price. More Leo, less Letterman.
