  • Beware Fake Anti-Virus Reviews
When it comes to choosing the right Antivirus software, a lot of people will search for terms like the best antivirus software or top 5 antivirus software.
These search terms will bring up loads of affiliate marketing special links to McAfee, Norton, Avast, Bitdefender, Avira, Total AV and more. So this is why you don't trust these reviews. They are geared to earn money and are like snake oil salesman sites. This is why you should not trust online reviews.

Absolutely! Most of them are bundled with your PC or PC components like a MB. I was an avid supporter of Norton for years and got tired of their support, refuse to use Mc-afee, and just recently almost bought into Total AV. I watched your previous video on Defender and decided I'd better get a more robust virus/malware program and of course doing a search guess what came up! I did download the free version only deleted it from my desktop before installing it. That was yesterday. I'll patiently wait for your next video on which ones you actually recommend. I can't thank you enough for this timely video.

No, because I prefer to read antivirus ranking and reviews from old, well-known online magazines, not from these new, unknown ,,reviewers" and I also get information from the tech staff working at IT Security Team.

As with most products or on-line reviews, we need to develop a certain "trust factor" between provider and customer/viewer. Once trust is betrayed it's almost impossible to regain.

Very good video. I usually go with my usage and my experiences using a variety of different software but I do read the reviews the good ones and the bad ones especially when they discuss ADWARE or pups being added to their installers.
When it comes to many things especially and the top 10 if anything distrust verify and still be suspicious about all reviews
You be the decision maker based on using the software and the reviews as a conversation not a fact that has been vindicated yet

It's a great example of capitalism in action. The same thing happens for pretty much any search you can think of making, even for searches that should have nothing to do with looking for a product to purchase. (Okay, maybe not nuclear weapons -- at least not until you can purchase them online!)
Are there any search engines where this would not happen? Google is bound to be the worst since it's the biggest. So, what search engines can be used instead to avoid being swamped by all of these scammy, capitalist results?
