#windows11 #windows10 #fixwindows10 #fixwindows11
This scare ware is all over the internet, be careful. Have you used this before? let me know below.
Words you will NOT be hearing soon, "Hi, this is Brian from Britec, before we get into the video, a word about this video's sponsor, RESTORO".
lol you're not wrong
This is really good information in general. Now I know why certain sites are all that show up at the top of a search when I search for lots of thing. They are choking out the search function like you mentioned with a bunch of fake stuff. Thank you for this video, was quite useful to me.
I had some problems with my windows 10 PC, all I did was reinstall windows 10 keeping my apps and files. Took some time but the system is quick as before. Save you money and your peace of mind. Don't buy anything like this. Thank you Brian, there is so many software imposters out there,
I just let windows deal with it all..no third party apps at all..Microsoft should know the ins and outs of their own creation i would think...Absolutely superb video again brian and thank you.
brilliant Brian as usual your videos are always so useful Thanks mate
Happy to help
very good advice love your videos
I been using Macrium and Revo for a year now, not disappointed to date.
I fell for that "Big Red Cross, Your Computer is Infected with a Virus" (a long time ago)......Lets just say my computer ended up in a right old mess.!
(2 days ago) I bought a top of the range 128 Gb flash drive that only had 32 Gb on it, 1000 reviews, most positive and Amazon singled it out as a great choice...It's a minefield out there everyone.
I have been following you and Thiojoe for years. You have always been great for advice. By the way, have you ever done Thiojoe’s spammer purge app? I would love to see a review of it.
i've seen a few thio joe videos he's alright but i would certainly trust Britech way above thio.
I never use any software to fix my issue. Britec's tech support forum is better 💪🏼😂
Glary's utilities is the best free & safe computer fix software I've encountered.
I have their Pro level saved in a folder. When I get tired of Norton, I’ll give it a go.
Software can't fix your PC. Taking the time to learn how to diagnose computer problems can.
You are right
There is only one source that I would trust to fix my computer, and that is,
BRITEC, TheComputerParamedic
Thanks
Hi Brian,
A combination of CCLeaner and common sense has got me through so far.
Stopped using CCLeaner years ago
Why do you use CC at all? Everything it does Windows do by itself, you don't need it.
Restoro: sounds like the name of a mediocre superhero
Great video, one you touched on a while back Brian was the of MiniTool Partition Wizard, your video showed that your where able to recover a Linux Partition. Ran it today on a Windows HDD only that software is not Free to use any more, if you need to retrieve lost data you have to upgrade.
Cool, thanks
Cheers Brian. I can't tell you the number of clients I've had who call me after having downloaded some scam scanner, causing damage as well as usually coming with a package of other malware.
For the real nasty ones, I use a combination of tools top remove these. Often they install multiple Windows Services which re-install the applications upon restart. So, stopping and blocking Services is the first step.
Excelente advice... One neads to be very careful... Just like pirated software nor worth it.. Wish you well
Thanks, you too!
I just have two shortcuts to the temporary folders on my desktop and I clear these out manually from time to time.
I have also heard Restoro also being a sussy program. Like u know malware and all that.
I remember Restoro - left 2 PUPS. It was a free trial etc - Plenty of Junkware out there
Sure is
Great video - question - I see when you searched for pc repair they all had green checks marks by them - what does that mean - and how did you get your google to do this?? Thanks
Eset
Very helpful. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Your video is very useful 😍😍😍
Brian Sir, once I installed one such software based on recommendation of The Windows Club after searching for solution to a problem on Google and landing up there. It harmed my PC and left a lot of bloatware and I had to reinstall Windows. After that I was very disappointed with the Windows Club and it fell in my eyes and I also left a comment on the page expressing my anger for recommending such a software.
Also once I installed CCleaner and out of curiosity ran its registry cleaner. It damaged my windows and again I had to reinstall windows. It was a lot of work and exhaustion.
Any program that says it can fix your system is a scam.
the built in tools are good enough, if they cant do it then the chances are nothing else will... you do have backups right?
Some of these cleaners make it sound like there is a serious problem with your PC when there is not. They don't do any big fixes or make your computer much faster. Just use the cleaner than comes built into Windows
Scare ware
Cheers Brian
You're welcome
I didn't find Restoro topic in any software forums, so I doubted that if it is genuine app. Ignored it.
Hey Brian, this is somewhat unrelated but I noticed you used Bitdefender previously (also what I use), but you're using ESET now. Do you think it's better than Bitdefender?
As a computer technician I would say that Bitdefender is the best free antivirus solution and Eset is the best paid service.
Cheers Bri 😉✌️
Very good information~ good video
Thanks for visiting
Jim Browning has done a video on "Reimage" and it's other companies surrounding it in the past surprised they are still around running their scams and trying to hide a bit but not very well
Best to use the WOT extension for your browser but also follow information from you and Jim Browning
Restoro is owned by Reimage
@@Britec09 yeah....figured the two programs Reimage has would have led back to just that company after watching Jim's video
I read a fortnightly magazine called Computer Active and they're pretty good for recommending anti-virus, various types of hardware, tech gadgets, etc. Two programs they mentioned was Malware Bytes and Wise Registry Cleaner... Anyone else used these 2 programs..??
You might want to possibly add Driver Easy to this list of Scams.
You should scheck JV16 PowerTools!
JV16 PowerTools is a blast from the past
Brilliant brian thankyou sir
Very welcome
Thank You!
You're welcome!
I tried it. It didn't fix my issue but they refunded my money straight away with no quibbling.
I usually use winstall to download programs/apps and if I search for something like this in it and it's not on winstall then I don't trust it and I would do a deep deep research on it 1st before downloading anything. What do you think about Microsoft pc manager? I use it for a quick cleaning, ending task, and turning off some start up.
I haven't got around to trying Winstall yet. Have been using a combination of Ninite to get new apps and Patch My PC to keep them updated. Does Winstall update apps as well?
@@Cyba_IT it doesn't update. It only give you the latest version similar to ninite
"Free download" doesn't mean free software. It's all a big scam even websites that get paid for advertising items as "The Best". Reviews are all a big scam.
Everyone uses the best
Yep have seen Restoro every where. they say it can fx system errors an that's about all i know about it. I'd like to see the top pc management programs ran on real computers an benchmarks for before an after it runs. can't really run the optimizing part of some of these cleaners on a vrtual machine! which means the only way to really see if these optimizations have any effect is to actually do them on a real machine. For example how can one say the disk optiization doesn't work when they didn't run that part! besides doing it this way is the only way to disway any arguement.
The program is snake oil, scareware etc, people have done in-depth research and reimage was linked to tech support scams.
Being as it's Reimage that don't surprise me!
Take away ... 99% of stuff on the internet is bogus. So what is the 1% of stuff I can try to fix my computer? Thanks.
It doesn't make your hair grow back either. What a silly name.
I have not used this software, but when you search for anything on Google, these websites come up first.
Yes, they put these sites up inn the hope people use them
Great!
Thanks
I used for a time Iobit software. No more. Ever.
When I tried it, it came with a trojan that stole one of my credit cards and necessitated a repair install of windows!
Microsoft does not recommend using registry cleaners
Nope
because the registry never needs to be cleaned since it uses such little memory space where 40/50 years ago it actually was a problem😂
Feels like this is just a glorified version of CCleaner.
Cool!
Is Kaspersky VPN Premium safe given that it originated in Russia!? - having problems with Internet connection (despite all other factors being ok) ever since it was installed!!!
I’m not allowed to say error messages
👍👍
I’m not allowed to say web addresses
I think Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves .for saying that this is a trusted program and they have it on there site . I went to download this because of Microsoft backing it but my antivirals pinged it as unwanted program . So I gave it the flick . But yes I see how people would ignore it if Microsoft is giving it a thumb 👍
windows can do the all those things so why people pay for these software these are scam i always used windows it's a rib off
Get a very good working knowledge of your operating system, and you will need very few utility software
For Restoro read RUBBISH!!
My PC is a MacBook 🤪
Good for you
@@Britec09 i know.
Point wqsy, PC=Personal Computer
Mac=PC. 😉
👍👍🤬🤬
👍
You are repeating yourself. You've done at least 2 prior videos on these repair programs. although not this specific one.
Don't like system fixer tools
Potentially cause alot more problems than they solve
Regularly clean temp cache daily manually windows cleaner
Andy fixes I usually use a registry fix
Or software manufacturers forum.fixes
Aloha~ from Hawaii🏖
I am currently using Malwarebytes Premium on Windows 10. After installing Malwarebytes Premium, there is a message that Real-time protection is turned off and "Malwarebyte" is playing the role of Real-time protection. So, is Malwarebyte doing its job properly? Or should I turn off Malwarebyte and turn on Real-time protection in Windows?
Thanks in advance.
