- When Michael Conti saw I lost my original Kraft Eleck Rider in that fire and saw that I bought one on EBay, but the seller rescinded on it after I won the bid, Michael brought me a brand new one in the box (along with that Byron Pitts). This 42 year old kit shows what it was like to build and run. I could not find the original Kraft 2 channel radio, so I purchased a Fly Sky 3 channel, although only 2 channels are needed. Thank you Michael. This was always a favorite of mine and I really appreciate the gifts.

“Hey Dave, we need some crash bars for our new vehicle” “consider it done boss”! Great build and RC. 👍
Haha. Thanks much!
Nice motorcycle from 70's and still working !!!
Well, being brand new, it should, but the rubber band that came with it was toast! LOL Thanks.
That poor guys butt....did make me chuckle tho...I’m surprised of the quality of that bike considering it was produced in the 1970s...very impressive 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Haha. Thanks kindly!
Great little retro bike. Looks great Dave. Michael
Thanks to you I have it and really appreciate you and your gifts. Thanks very much. Get yours together 20 we can race them this summer!

AWESOME !... back to the 1979 ...
Yes. Thanks kindly!
Great video. Love watching the older stuff run. Nice to see your connection and history with this old company. Thanks for the video.
Thanks so very kindly. I appreciate that, Chuck!
Awesome video Dave, I have the SR5 trail bike brushless on 3S and love it.
Those are cool too. Thanks much.
Wow! That is really something special! Sitting on my couch grinning ear to ear.
Glad to hear that. Thanks Dylan!
How awesome and an amazing gift!! People from all over love your videos and your knowledge! Keep it up Dave. I'm sure I speak for all subscribers when I say your content is great!
And you are one of those People! I appreciate you and your comments. Thanks a lot Mike!
Your videos are some of the most informative and relaxingly therapeutic to watch. Love watching your build and restoration videos and the history lessons you often incorporate into them too. Greetings from Melbourne!
Thanks very kindly Phil. I appreciate you and your comments from down under!
hey Dave, over the top once again. tell the camera person hello from Tx.
Thanks Jerry. She said hi back. 😀
Now that's a little jewel!
I agree. Thank you.
Very nice! I think I see some Evel Knievel videos in your future!😁 “We’re gonna need a bigger ramp!”
Semper Fi.
Yes, I agree. Thanks Scott. Semper Fi!
There's something cool about New-Old Stock, especially to us elders. Smart idea to put the receiver in the driver.
I agree. Thanks very kindly for your comments.
Hi Dave,
That was awesome. Amazing what was done back then. Made me remember of my first RC Heli the Dubro Shark I bought in 1975. It used an O&R pull start gas engine converted to glow fuel. Fixed pitch and no gyro. I did have fun with it. :-)
Thanks Kindly Don.
looks awesome!!
Thank you.
Wow rides why better than I thought.
Wonderful retro project. Am thinking you could pick up an AM radio station using that ESC haha, looks like a crystal set coil.
Yes, and it was quite sophisticated for the time since it has a brake too, but your right, crystal radio tuning....lol. Thanks much.
I really enjoyed this video David, thanks for sharing the history of this rc motorcycle, how you had a part in the design back then and every step by step process in building it! Its amazing you received this New Old Stock from back on the year I was born in 1979. Even better was watching you driving it around after assembling it..... Must of brought back some good memories from the late 70s, well done 👍 #1
Hello Australia! I am pleased you liked this video. Thanks so very kindly for your comments.
@@NightFlyyer you're very welcome, very much enjoying your content! 🍻
I remember wanting to buy one of them back in the 70s but I think they were rather expensive. Do you remember the original selling price. Terrific video thank you for sharing the memories.
I think they were $129, plus you needed a 2 channel radio and battery. Thanks much, David!
Very interesting piece of RC history - designed based on 1st principles of physics........
Unbelievable, It doesn't tip over even at seriously slow speeds, given it doesn't have an active gyroscope, apparently.
Yes. It was well designed and works well. No gyros. Thanks much.
So cool 😁👍
Thanks a lot Dave.
very nice!!!!!👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾
Thanks a lot!
Nice I love it
Me too. Thanks much!
I just wished we could’ve combined 1950-60-70’s build quality with modern day technology. It sucks everything is made in China now, and anything that isn’t is stupid expensive. Anyway I digress…
Great video once again, thanks!
So true, Anthony. Thanks kindly!
Amazing how good it works without gyros. I have a newer model with the built-in gyro in the rear wheel and it still isn't as stable as that
Yes, this was a great machine. l Thanks kindly!
Those were the days,,, thanks Dave!!! ;o)
O,,,
Yes. I sure have fond memories of them. Thanks.
time to break a new jump record dave!
I may do that in the spring after I put the high speed gear in him. Thanks.
Wow Love it ! No gyro huh never seen one of these except there's one on sale on eBay. I never thought you can ride an RC motorcycle without a gyro.
I have had 21 full size motorcycles and now drive an 1800 Honda Gold wing, and believe it or not, non of them had gyros. LOL Thanks.
@@NightFlyyer never owned a motorcycle I was wanted one everyone says no to dangerous
And talk me out of it 🤠 lol
@@earlyculyer4103 You may enjoy seeing the video I produced with a Gyro controlled RC cycle that I made a couple of years ago. ruclips.net/video/y6B9K41UM-s/видео.html
@@NightFlyyer did you see the link I sent you about the craft motorcycle that's up for sale on eBay?
@@earlyculyer4103 I don't see it in this thread, but note that a subscriber sent me a brand new one in the box last year and I made a video on it. For that reason, I do not need another, but thanks. Here is the brand new one, which I assembled. ruclips.net/video/j8hJp3FaF-E/видео.html
I have too...i don't know was the first!!!
Well I guess you missed the answer!!!
Great job again, what years did you work at Kraft? Did you have any input for the KP3KB pistol grip transmitter? Wasn't that the first pistol grip manufactured?
I worked at Kraft on his Signature series radio starting in 1979. I had nothing to do with the pistol grip. It was manufactured in Japan for us.
Is it me are you shooting with a new camera
Same cameras. I used 3 in this. Canon, Garmin and Firefly.
That is cook
I guess that means good. Thanks much.
NightFlyyer is ment cool lol 😂😂
@@davidturner2365 Haha. That is cool!
Wow are those rims cast metal? Things sure aren't made like they used to be. Heck im only 35 and I've seen a huge decline in quality of everything even over my lifetime.
Yes, your right. Kyosho made these machines for us in Japan. Kyosho has always been known for their high quality products. They are Diecast metal rims and it was (and is) a good solid machine for sure. Thanks.
