      Yeah I'm surprised to be one of the first to get one. I put an email notification on the razer website when I came in stock. Arrived within 3 days of ordering it on friday

      @ i hope you have allot of fun with it! So as far as i got it from the video. Your laptop stayed cool to the touch using this? As u mentioned Ice cold?

    1:59 - that USB-C port is getting hurt A LOT, all cable weight + adapter is making a lot of lever action there.

    It looks really cool, however, the llano v10 is likely still better for smaller laptops.
    Congrats on being the first to review it!

      Cheers! yeah I nearly got the V10, but then saw Razer had this and I liked the look of it. I didn't expect to be the first, and I don't often do video reviews, but when I saw that the only video of it available was from Razer I just did a very impromptu video which has gotten way more traction than I was expecting! Its got me tempted to make some higher quality production product reviews.

      @@icerew You can definitely redo the review while being more in depth, it will likely help the community in deciding which cooler to get, you could also post it in r/gaminglaptops
      I would certainly watch it again! I would also like to know the type of headphones that you use!

      The ONLY problem (or missing feature) on the Llano is the lack of auto-cooling (auto fan speed up/down) based on temperature.

    What laptop mount/stand is that please?

  • @Terreos
    @Terreos 8 дней назад +1

    So it is powered by usb and not a separate dc input like the other coolers I've seen?

    • @icerew
      @icerew  8 дней назад +1

      Powered by separate plug, the USB just initiates the unit

  • @ilaanisdead
    @ilaanisdead 7 дней назад

    great video! though, I'm guessing connecting the cooling pad via usb has a drawback as it gets more power for fan speed thus increasing heat than plugging it somewhere else

      It's my first delve into laptop cooling pads. IMO, it's sleek looking, laptop is definitely running cooler, not hitting the 100deg mark as often.
      Only gripe is the cost, you can get the other brands for about £30-£40 cheaper and will likely perform the same (or better) but are bulky and not as sleek(IMO)

    Hello, how about the software? Can you control the fans speed through Razer Synapse?

    • @b.c.b.-2130
      @b.c.b.-2130 11 дней назад +2

      They're advertised as being able to be controlled through Synapse. Software control is literally the only thing making it different from the $85 cooling pads on Amazon. I'm guessing he was just unaware of that fact.

    • @icerew
      @icerew  10 дней назад

      I'll have a look into that, I don't have the software installed, but I can see how it could easily be controlled by software

    • @b.c.b.-2130
      @b.c.b.-2130 10 дней назад

      @@icerew apparently with Synapse you can set it up to automatically adjust the fan speed base on the CPU/GPU temps instead of having to manually do it when you feel the laptop is heating up.
      I'm not sure why you would even buy this if automatic fan control wasn't on your radar. If you're okay with manual adjustments there are much cheaper alternatives.
