    Hey, question in a different way, lol. I already have a track recorded in my recorder, can I just use this piece for a vocal that is already in my recorder ? For an example, my vocal is on track 1, can I just go out of track one 1 on my patch bay and use this as an AUX or something ?

    Amazing,among all the videos of the various vocoders you posted it seems to me that the Behringer VC340 is closer to the Roland SVC 350.
    Which one would you choose if you were to replace the Roland SVC.
    Thanks in advance.

    Its a No Brainer, The SVC-350 Sounds Amazing and just so Raw, the VC340 is not bad but it just no way touches the Roland Daddy for sound.

    I prefer the VC340 (except for that very last pass you did - playing chords?) … … … the VC340 is warmer, and I prefer that; the SVC-350 sounds more like a dalek/high-pitched robot, though - if that’s what you want … … … also, I really like the ‘Vangelis strings’ of the VC340 (ie 330-like).
    I have a Digitech Talker already, which might sound more like the SVC-350 … I’m not sure … ?! 🤷🏻‍♂️
    Thanks for the video/comparison! 😎👍🏼🙏🏼

      Hi and sorry for the delay...the carrier is a K-Station from Novation.

    Cool video, can you use you Neuman u87 AI mic on this ? I heard it is best to use a Sure mic ? Thanks

    • @Funkmasterozone
      @Funkmasterozone  4 года назад

      No. Because the VC340 has no Phantom Power .. you can use it with any dynamic Mics. The Shure is of course very good for that.

      @@Funkmasterozone Thanks, let me ask you this. Right now my mic is going to my Avalon, can I patch my output of tha Avalon to tha input of this Roland ?

    • @Funkmasterozone
      @Funkmasterozone  4 года назад +1

      @@ericques9974 Sorry for the delay. I can`t tell you about. The input of the Behringer Vocoder is just a input for dynamic mics. When you go out of the Avalon you have a Line Signal.... thats a bit different to a mic signal. Just get a cheap dynamic Mic... maybe the shure sm58 clone from Behringer too. It will work very fine.

    I own both the SVC-350 and a VP-330 vocoder plus mk2 and to be honest the SVC-350 sounds cleaner than the VP-330 vocoder the most noticeable difference is in the eq section, so in my opinion the Behringer does kinda sound like my VP-330 vocoder mk2??? Salutes bro

      @Funkmasterozone  4 года назад +3

      You are right... the SVC is a different machine. But today... when people talks about a Roland vocoder its mostly the SVC-350. So when Behringer brought the VC340 many people asking for if it sounds like a SVC-350.
      Thats the reason why I made the video.

      @@Cone989 Hej, I am thinking to buy Behringer vocoder mainly because analog sound, I am really interested in using it with external carrier (external synth on analog input, also chords:-). There is almost nothing on RUclips about how it works and sounds in that case. Maybe someone can advise me how it sounds? Or maybe it would be possible to put some tests on RUclips to hear how exactly Behringer works with external synths in stereo. All the best. Thanks for this video!

    The Behringer VC340 sounds very weak in real life :(
    How did you get such a clear vocoder sound ........... ???????????
    It looked like you were talking through the Roland SVC 350 all the time :)))
    This is some kind of fake ??????
    Do you have a Vocoder for this, was there any Filter ????????

    • @Funkmasterozone
      @Funkmasterozone  3 года назад +4

      No. No filter. You have to know that I use the same synthesizer/Carrier for both vocoder. You are very limited with those string sounds on the VC340... I use the external input on the VC340...by the way it def not sound weak. Check "Just give the DJ a Break" by Dynamix II. It sound s exactly like that. "It looked like you were talking through the Roland SVC 350 all the time :)))"... look closer I use two different mics. ;-) The Synth signal is a Novation K.Station I play in this case all the time. And most people don`t know how to use a vocoder... its sounds weak if you talk like a little mouse into the mic. Use your voice. Speak loud into the Mic. ;-)

    If you listen to this: ruclips.net/video/cBAy3GobgjA/видео.html you should hear the Behringer is as close as it gets. It costs nothing and the Rolands go way more than they should these days. I respectfully disagree that "the Roland is the boss". In a blind test I'm sure results would show no one really can tell for sure :-) That being said, you can bet your ass on it I'd take a real Roland above the Behringer, just because it's original. :-)
