As I vet who spent 18 mo in Afghanistan & was wounded I can say it was all for nothing. The way we left was hurtful , painful , & embarrassing.

In the grand scheme of things, I think I agree with you. And the time for accountability with regards to the war is gone. The people who were in power that got us in that mess are largely gone, and the American people need to own up to that mistake because we dropped the ball, and continue with the cluster f*** of as* hats we elect to represent us. However, for whatever it may be worth, I hope that you can pick your moments to some extent and see some good from an individual experience that came out of it. I wasn't even 2 years old when the towers fell, so I am really out of my depth here as America at war is all I have ever known. But I have seen what happens after when people come home and that is something that this country will be dealing with for a long time and I hope it is something that actually gets addressed instead of sweeping it under the rug like with what happened after Vietnam. I can only imagine how much this must hurt, and I know how large of an issue veteran suicide is... so with a heavy heart I must ask how you're doing? I know I am young and don't know much, but please don't stray near that edge if you're down. There are people and organizations that would like to work with you if that's where you are

Iraq was Bush's mistake, staying in Afghanistan after we failed to get Bin Laden was also a mistake. But the original sin was to overreact to 911. Cooler heads need to prevail and remember that revenge is a dish best served cold.

As the wife of retired ARMY Staff Sargent H Miles , thank you for your service and sacrifice no matter what war you deployed in. My husband was deployed three tours he was in Iraq twice and Afiganstan the last deployment; and probably would still be serving had he not been wounded in an IED blast and suffered a TBI -He is a Purple Heart recipient, but he also sacrificed so much however there were so many more who have given all they had - Never feel what you did or didn’t do was for nothing - there are some of us Who understand and also appreciate every single thing ever done none of you called the shots you simply followed a command. No greater love is the love of a man who lay down his life for his brother. It saddens me that any of you would have any other feelings but to be proud We are greatful for each and everyone of you. I have been a member ofthe Guard, Reserve and Active Duty in the Army. I volunteered for deployment twice as a matter of desire to apply myself as a force for good in the world. When I was trained, I was fortunate to have Veterans of Vietnam in my lead. A Special Forces Battalion cammnder, a Sergeant Major from 173rd, and a First Sergeant from 4 ID. The question of a ready force and a legal battle are different matters. Vote your heart.

I'm sorry, brother. 👊❤️ A good friend of mine was killed close to Sadr City, on Route Predators in Nov 2005. Their Buffalo was hit with an EFP array. The AAR said they were sure that their specific Buffalo was targeted because they got complacent and used the same route a lot. And it was aimed high for a Buffalo because it would have gone over the top of a Hummer, according to whoever did the investigation & report. He, a captain, and a 2nd Lt lost their lives that day.
He was 2-5 Cav 2d? BCT, IIRC. Pfc Josh Burrows. US ARMY. He was a great great dude. Nov 26 will make 18 yrs that he's been gone. He was there like 6-8 weeks at that point. Had a new infant son at home, too.

The WMD's and all was for Iraq, with Saddam. Afghanistan was because of their attack on 9/11. Unless you remember that time, the entire country and world were supportive of the invasion. It stretched because the Taliban were so successful, the people of Afghanistan are very good fighters historically. They also have no care for national identity, the rural areas don't care as their life barely changes for who's in power. Iraq stretched as we fought an insurgency that came only because of the Coalition presence. We destroyed the Saddam's regime in a very short time.

Most use isn't even inhalation rather ingestion. This doesn't need to be more difficult than they're making it out to be regulate like alcohol. You can't have a beer walking down the road or driving but you can in a bar that has a license. Why don't we have marijuana coffee shops? For example

In the Uniform Code of Military Justice and international law, a criminal order or illegal order is a military order for the commission of a war crime or other violation of international criminal law. Because superior orders do not exonerate such violations, it is obligatory to disobey the order.

The people want a better life there but at the end of the day the men of the country gave up without a fight after 20 years of the USA teaching them how to fight..
I've seen so many of them not even caring for the things they had to do in the arm forces, they did'nt want to work so now look...most of them did what they had to but there is always a few that now are in Talibán prisons if not dead..
