What I didn't realize until after making the video is that this is not the newest album! haha. So now I"m curious to compare albums and see how they've changed from album to album.
Gotta say I love the latest album more than this but the new EP is outstanding too. I think 2 members had to leave after they toured this album so there’s a good enough reason to compare although I think James (singer and rhythm geetar) does most of the song writing. A band with a big future for sure. I checked these guys out because Soen took them out on tour a few years back and have quickly become a fave band. Great stuff Dean🤘
Great band! Waiting for you to mention Tool 😊 (Sometimes even closer to early Soen who were very Tool inspired) Edit: Ha, ha... There it was after the second song. Right after I posted the comment above 🙂)
I think I do mention the Tool comparison once, but I thought by now- knowing Tool so well- and much of you all too- it was an obvious inspiration to Wheel!
I've only listened to this album once (well now twice) but every time I sit and try to write a song, I end up writing stuff that sounds exactly like the first track 🤣
@@deanwolfechannel I call that the mark of quality. There have been so many songs/ albums that I like or even love on 1st listen. Those songs however tend to fail the test of time for me.. The songs that takes a dozen listens before I can fully appreciate them, are the songs I pull of the shelf years latter. A general rule, but a clear pattern for me.
this band completly reinvented proggmetal in recent years.. i thought tool is incomparable.. but cmon dudes listen to this very carefully ...they have more energic flow and "musicality" which consists of two guitars! think about this and compare it to Tool's 1 guitar arrangement style, this bring a whole new dimension of experience It can be said that the band skipped childhood and growth. Band stepped into adulthood with equal feet. Its fantastic that in 2020+ there is still originality in music industry. They released 1st album in 2019....so far they have some interesting history to understand their mission..and their progress is freaking phenomenal. We were pleased by this miracle ...thank you for this guys...half year i cant stop playing it mostly all thd time...cant wait to see them this march here in czech Republic... ⚠️ highly addictive stuff⚠️ Recommended : every single track
Wheel has become one of my favourite bands. Both of their albums are pure gold🤩 Gonna enjoy this ride, Dean. And Thank you Jen, for an amazing pick🤘

It is hard to pick a favourite, because they are both great, but it is a different ride. This band has a great future ahead of them.
I think you're right.

I'm so happy you're doing this Wheel album react. I discovered them this year with the Leprous/Apocalyptica tour and damn they're good!
I bet they're something else live
been looking forward to you doing this album for what feels like a year
It's a good one!

I'm at the age where every band sounds like Tool lol

@@thecentralscrutinizer5730 😂 (Start discovering some pre-Tool bands then - with the chance/risk of identifying where Tool took inspiration 😉)
I am so into Wheel, thanks for sharing!

Balls to the wall badass! 🤘🏽🤘🏽

@@deanwolfechannel are you aware that the composer that made the Twin Peaks score passed away? I forgot to tell you that
Getting some heavy tool vibes for sure, but these guys can stand on their own. Only one song in, but digging it.
I like it more with each listen

Yes, I think that's because if something is more original it's harder to grasp immediately but if its unoriginal and familiar its not challenging

thanks for your comments and hi Czech friends
Me too. I think 2020
That song 'Wheel' is like 'Ticks & Leeches' on steroids, almost the same groove.
indeed.
