I somehow remember myself taking on with my level 81 Feraligatr with Cut, Hydro Pump, Waterfall and Crunch and somehow beating the Elite 4 in Soulsilver. I was around 11/12 then. I am 20 now and am playing it again, I really have a hard time beating the game, lol. Only difference is that my playing time then was around 120 hours and now around 9 or something.
@@mycklaflonscamping1398 *you slowly realizing you weren’t better…just had more free time* lmao that story is priceless tho. I’m currently playing pokemmo(highly recommend it) and I’m walled at Gary on the s.s anne because of his kadabra having psybeam (yea I think they make the a.i way harder on pokemmo)
I tanked Crystal version with a Feraligator and a couple of HM slaves. Years later I learned the duplication glitch in Pokemon Red and I completed my little challenge of beating the Elite 4 with nothing but a Level 100 Charizard. Bonus story: The first time I ever beat Pokemon Red. I was about to fight the Champion but my main Charizard was out of PP. I replaced Fissure with Flamethrower just to have the PP to complete the fight. It worked, but I lost access to the only Fissure TM in the game. That's the same cartridge I used to fill the Pokedex and become a "Pokemon Master." The save battery has to be dead by now but the memories will last.
If you plan on using Jolteon, make sure to level up Eevee to 30 first! It'll learn Bite, which is a dark type move (special), and it makes jolteon good for taking on psychic pokemon. So jolteon is even more helpful than the video suggests, being helpful in koga's gym, sabrina's gym, and 3 of the elite four (including agatha). If you've never tried playing with one, I highly recommend giving it a try! i love jolteon lol
@@patriciobreamartinez4095 As of current gen, poison is super effective against grass and fairy, and is weak to psychic and ground. Poison types can also not be poisoned which is obviously a bonus. They can generally use many different types of moves including ground type moves so it's easier to take out another poison type. Generally speaking, pure poison types aren't too common and are often mixed with grass types, making them less susceptible to bug moves. I'd say poison was very useful as a type if I'm being honest.
i solo'd with Chansey*, it was much more fun *-note, you have to fight your first rival battle and against the last bug catcher in viridian, otherwise you can obtain lvl 5 Chansey easily via brock-thru-walls, and return to pallet with Chansey as your "starter"
I always use these: Charizard Machamp Aerodactyl Electabuzz Dragonite Alakazam Sometimes i use Gengar, or Snorlax, and usually catch Pikachu for misty and evolve or swich to Electabuzz later on
@@adlirosli7068 too long to explain here.. Though u can type at google " how to trade pokemon with yourself- firered" and u will see guides/ videos, depending on how u play, android/ iphone, Pc etc.
I caught a Rhyhorn in the Safari Zone and kept it as a Rhyhorn until it learned Megahorn, at level 57. Then I let it evolve into the super jacked Rhydon. That Pokemon has some pretty great stats, especially compared to Geodude/Graveler/Golem, which is the other Ground/Rock type you can find easily in the game. If you're extremely patient, you can find an Onix in Mt. Moon but they're pretty rare and you'll probably be ready to pull your hair out after running from a million Zubats and Geodudes. So, my Rhydon knew Megahorn and Earthquake (which it learned as a Rhyhorn at level 52). I then entered the Rock Tunnel from the Lavender Town side, back tracked a little and used the Move Tutor to teach it Rock Slide. It's slight less accurate then Rock Tomb, the TM you get from Brock after beating the first gym, but more powerful. With Megahorn, a super strong bug-type move, Rhydon easily took my Rival's Alakazam, who can be a big pain, and was also a help against Agatha and her Ghost/Poison types (although, unfortunately, Earthquake was no help against them because they levitate above the ground). I just wish the Safari Zone came earlier in the game.
Onix also isn't that strong. It'll take lots of hits but it cannot perform offensively. Now, if you evolve that Onix into Steelix, then you get a superpowered ground type.
Well Steelix doesn't hit hard also haha except at the later generation plus mega-evolve. But with Iron Tail, maybe it can, but the poor accuracy just sucks.
my team Magikarp moves; splash Metapod move; harden rattata moves; growl there all level 3 and and they all hold neverstones they were so tuff I had to hack for masterballs
Do not waste time trying to capture a Nidoran Male in Leafgreen! Instead, capture a Nidoran Female and trade it on Route 5 with an NPC for a Nidiran Male. (The encounter rate for Nidoran Male in Leafgreen in 1%)
My team Blastoise - Was a bulky and very consistent underrated starter Pidgeot- Decent all around and was pretty fast Raichu- Great speed with STAB Thunderbolt Arcanine- Very good overall stats and STAB Flamethrower Alakazam- The best wallbreaker in the game with a STAB Psychic Dragonite- A pain to get but AMAZING power and great defenses
Why though? Charmander is a cool Pokemon, but he's an objectively bad starter in Kanto, he's weak against the first two gyms, and neutral against the third. You basically need to train a Butterfree from Viridian Forest to beat Brock, or a Nidoran like the video suggests.
imo I would put Zapdos >>>> Jolteon resists fight moves shuts down bruno obvious saur and starmie can handle the onix's he has and is much bulkier then Jolteon
+NumbNexus See I love Zapdos and I would have loved to put it on the team. Only thing is, I don't like using legendaries on my ingame teams. If the player wants to use Zapdos though, that's still a great choice! I also know that some other people don't like using legends that's why I didn't put it.
I would go with Bulbasuar as a starter then get a Pigey. Then NidiroianM i dont know how to speal it...Then Get an Eevee and evolv it into Flareon. Then Pikachu. And last Lapras!
The team that got me through FR/LG was Charizard, Starmie, Jolteon, Primeape, Sandslash and Victreebel. Love them all, and specially Primeape, who is fairly underrated.
Yikes dude. But at least Scyther is more useful in that gen. Gen 1 all it has going for it is critical Slash attacks and Swords Dance. Doesn't even learn any Bug or Flying moves except Wing Attack in Pokemon Yellow.
Tip: If you guys are ever wondering which type is considered physical or special in gen 1-3, just remember that the special types are all eeveelutions & dragon type!
nice vid! I think, depending on your battle style, you could also choose Slowbro instead of Starmie for some extra bulk and protection against confusion (ability) ;-)
+CoolTrainer Dylan or he gives eevee a firestone and spends his coins in a dragonite. and btw: the titel is "best team", not "easiest team to level and catch"
+DJMadMatt What would be the point though? Flareon is garbage before the psychical/special split and it gets access to Flare Blitz. It's not worth it. Also, Dragonite is difficult to get, which makes Dodrio better in comparison. Plus, Tri Attack is a busted move.
For getting Jolteon don't forget to save before entering the room and getting eevee. Jolteon's movepool is really bad, and besides bite he doesn't get any other special move. (Shadow ball is physical in this game). So what I do is get a meowth early game (right after 3rd gym), he has the pick up ability and what it does is after any battle (both in the wild or vs trainers) there's a chance to get certain items, Hidden Power tm10 included. So going back to eevee, save before entering, get eevee, teach him hidden power, and if it's not the element that you wanted, reset and try again. Usually i get HP ice to cover grass and ground, which both resist electric. Ofc you can teach hidden power to any Pokemon, but i feel it's better for Jolteon as he needs coverage, and you can manipulate what HP he can get. If you get another one ( and you will if you sacrifice a slot just for meowth) you can give it to venasaur, as he also suffers from poor movepool coverage, and you don't get sludge bomb till after the E4. Only problem is that you're stuck with whatever Hidden Power you get, unless you restart the game. But ideally you'd want hp fire on venasaur
i used alakazam in leaf green. was very quick to attack and confusion still does lot of damage, despite psychic and psybeam, was very good pokemon to use
I would recommend right away. If you have pokemon like Growlithe though wait till flame wheel. As for Ninetales wait for Vulpix to learn flamethrower hope this helped :)
alright so there is no electric type in this team i think you should remove golem and change it with a jolteon or if you want go with zapdos and dragonite is bad for the elite four because he's very vulnerable to lorelei and lapras learns basically all the moves that are good for dragonite so he is basically just a pure dragon which is only effective against lance that is my only complaints for this team
My fire red team. 1.Venusaur with Tackle{yeah}, sleep powder, razor leaf, solarbeam. 2.Pidgeot because it is my fave flying type. with Fly, Hyper beam, Steel wing and Return. 3.Electabuzz with Thunderbolt, brick break, Light screen, thunder wave. 4.Arcanine with Flamethrower,Bite, Take down and whatever you want. 5.Poliwrath with brick break, surf, hydro pump, ice beam. 6.Marowak with bonemerang, earthquake, false swipe, rock slide. My leafgreen team. 1.Pidgeot 2.Venusaur 3.Magmar with flamethrower, brick break, fire blast, and sunny day. 4.Sandslash cuz i love it with earthquake, slash, rockslide and brick break. 5.Raichu with iron tail, thunder wave, thunder bolt, and brick break. 6.Starmie with psychic, ice beam, surf, hydro pump. hydro pump can be replaced later with waterfall for both pokemon and tackle for sludge bomb. please give a like if it helps and plz suggest some changes. Look at the internet to know how to get moves for each pokemon.
My suggestions: Firered: Venusaur: Giga Drain, Leech Seed, Sleep Powder, Toxic Why: Giga Drain is the best stab, Leech Seed and Sleep Powder stall and help you catch mons, toxic is there just for utility, but any good poison type move will do in this slot. Tackle should NEVER be on a fully evolved mon, solar beam takes 2 turns to complete unless you have sunny day, and razor leaf is too weak. Pidgeot: Fly, Steel Wing, Return, Thief Why: Fly to get where you want, Return is a good Normal stab, Steel Wing and Thief for coverage. Hyper Beam leaves you vulnerable and Pidgeot doesn't have the defenses to take a hit. Electabuzz: Thunderbolt, Brick Break, Strength, Psychic Why: Thunderbolt for stab, Brick Break and Psychic for coverage, and Strength for moving rocks. Electabuzz can't learn Thunder Wave and Light Screen ins't much use. Arcanine: Flamethrower, Bite, Extreme Speed, Rock Smash Why: Flamethrower for stab, Bite for coverage, Extreme Speed for priority, and Rock Smash for utility. Take Down is pathetic and has recoil to boot. Poliwrath: Submission, Surf, Bulk Up, Rock Tomb Why: Submission for stab, Bulk Up for boosting, Surf for utility, and Rock Tomb for coverage. Brick Break is a TM and can only be used on 1 mon, plus Submission is more powerful anyway, and Poliwrath's special attack sucks, so ice beam is only good for mons with 4x weakness to it, same with Hydro Pump. Marowak: Earthquake, Thrash, Aerial Ace, Protect Earthquake for stab, Thrash and Aerial Ace for coverage, Protect for scouting. Rock Slide on Marowak is egg move only, Marowak is too slow for False Swipe to be of any use, and Bonemerang is repetitive. Leafgreen: Pidgeot: See above. Venusaur: See above. Everything else looks good.
Radhika Raj I didn't notice any eeveelutions on your team. I would use Jolteon instead of raichu for better type coverage with its amazing movepool (hint: keep pin missile on it to wreck Sabrina and handle rival's Alakazam). Vaporeon could be a good alternative to replace one of the waters, but avoid flareon, it's the weakest fire type in game. Ultimately, it's your game play how you're comfortable and use the Pokés you like.
tauros is a destroyer, probs most powerful normal type of gen 1. STAB hyper beams that were also based off the physical attack stat (which for tauros is considerably high) pretty much made sure it could one-hit KO everything besides rock or ghost types. and even if it had to take on either a rock or ghost type it could just use earthquake (also based off physical attack stat). although this video is based off fire red/leaf green so i'm not completely sure if the same rules apply.
Yes, special was splitted, but what he means is that all normals type attacks are considered physical. So are ground type attacks. This changed in generation 4 where every attack could be either special or physical, and therefore using the attack stat, or the special attack stat.
I'm all about type variety: 1. Victreebel - Grass/Poison 2. Charizard - Fire/Flying 3. Poliwrath - Water/Fighting 4. Magneton - Electric/Steel 5. Golem - Rock/Ground 6. Jynks - Ice/Psyquic With this much variety you're all covered, this is the team I used in the remakes. Victreebel has the highest attack stats of any grass type and status powders. Charizard is fast, great special attack and can fly you around removing the need of a normal/flying type. Poliwrath is nice for being the only dual type fighting type in the region, and a decent water type. Magneton has 11 resistances! despite not having such a high special attack as Jolteon its endurance makes up for it. Golem is an electric/flying killer and packs a punch, a bit faster than Rhydon and easier to get if you can trade. Lastly, the trade pokemon Jynks, yeah Jynks. It's a great addition since it covers two crucial types in Kanto: Ice and Psyquic, you need those Ice Beams to defeat Lance and psychic is OP in Kanto.
Lance is difficult to fight no matter who you choose but Blastoise has ice moves as a moderate help. It also has superior special defences to repel off Hyper beam that every one of his pokemon has. Venusaur has sustainability moves like leech seed and synthesis and can have neutral damage on Aerodactyl.
You mistimed your annotation announcement, and yes, Bulbasaur is the BEST, although Metal Claw does make Brock much easier. Did you mean their level-up moves, not "they're level up moves"? Also, there are the Pokémon that have access to Dark moves or Bug moves, like Beedrills, Butterfrees, Crunchers (like Gyarados)...
Charmander still has trouble regardless of Metal Claw Onyx has insane defenses. As for the grammar my bad sorry officer xD Beedrill is crappy Butterfree is crappy. Gyarados has bad sp atk. Starmie outclasses it by so much same with Lapras.
Onix. And Gyarados' brute force is on par with Snorlax and you know that :p But I'm just throwing out the suggestions, as per the reason for commenting :)
It´s a very nice team. I remember having Nidoking and Jolteon in Kanto journeys :D Also, Starmie is one of the most underrated pokemon imo. I usually have it with recover, psychic/shadow ball, thunderbolt and surf :) Dodrio and Snorlax are good pokemon (but I never use them)
I would be so down with a blue remake for the 3ds just to have a reason to have a remake remake Kanto game with 3ds graphics. Oh and a crystal remake for the 3ds.
love watching those videos again ❤️ remember when i played leaf green for the first time Venusaur Mr. Mime Farfetch’d Snorlax Lapras and last pokemon i had was Sandslash for most of the game, then i switched to hitmonchan, but it was so useless so i took my sandslash back for elite four 😂
There is one problem in this team which is that vensaur nidoking and dorio are all weak to ice so i will recommand that you will switch nidoking for machamp or any good fighting type
Nicholas FitzGerald, personally I use Dragonite to simply "show off" my patience to raise a Dragonair. I would prefer Blastoise and Haunter, alongside ANY other 4 of my choosing. Once I had a Jigglypuff and a Butterfree in the Hall of Fame for both Kanto and Sinnoh...
There are better water types There are better flying types Imo, Golem learns way better moves, if you can trade for it, and despite having many weaknesses, it's generally pretty obvious if they'll have something strong against it. Raichu is a terrible pokemon stat wise The other two are good but arcanine is not as good type wise for Kanto and Dragonite is pretty late game.
Raichu isn't too bad, stat wise it's like the third best electric pokemon ( if he was going to have an electric one ) with the only two that has more is electrode with 5 points and Jolteon with 50 points however they also doesn't have the best stat points. Blastoise is a really good one with only one thats better, Lapras. there is better flying, but not too many in kanto Crobat is better, but that is the only one i know of. ( except dragonite and other pseudo legendaries ) Nidoking is a good choice. But how come Arcanine as not a good type wise? are you also stating that every fire type pokemon is bad? or that charizard is only good because of his flying type? because in kanto there is like 4 different fire type pokemon, ( excluding second and first evolutions )
DeadevilJr Electabuzz is better in almost every way, save for its HP, than Raichu, not to mention it can be obtained about 4 gyms into the game. (if you go out of order to go to Fuschia) and can also learn Psychic which is extremely helpful if you don't pickup a different psychic type. Venusaur, as proven in the video shown in this video, is a much better starter for Kanto, and also like it said, there are much better Water types in Kanto. -Golduck, while it has worse base stats, has better special attack and speed, which is more important imo. -Tentacruel has much better special defense, which is more important than defense when it comes to water types in this game, and can tank just as well as Blastoise -Starmie is similar to Golduck but with better stats where it matters (sp attack/speed) and a more useful typing, though it's only available in leafgreen. -Lapras is actually a lot closer to Blastoise as far as its usefulness, because it trades defense and sp. defense for HP. -Vaporeon has much better everything, except for attack and defense which pretty much don't matter for it. Pidgeot has average stats everywhere, which doesn't help it. Its base stat total itself isn't that great, either. -Fearow learns much better moves and has better attack and speed, -Crobat isn't in this generation, but Golbat is, though it's not that good. -Dodrio for the same reasons as Fearow -Aerodactyl for the same reasons + its rock type which can help for type coverage. -All of the legendary birds Golem learns way better moves than Nidoking, if you use Nidoking it doesn't get a good ground type move unless you give it Dig until you get Earthquake which is after the 8th gym. Also, poison isn't good on a damage dealing pokemon, which is Nidokings primary use. It does learn megahorn, but Nidoking is weak to Psychic, and grass types can be handled by a flying type, like i'll mention again below. "arcanine is not as good type wise for Kanto" so... yes, all fire type pokemon are bad, in kanto. Fire is only good against grass (but you probably have a flying type for this gym anyway by now) and, while Lorelei is an ice trainer, only one of her pokemon is weak to fire. (most of them are water/ice mix). As far as general typing, bug/grass is weak to Flying, and ice is weak to rock and fighting, which are both move types you can easily get on your team somehow. (Rock slide move tutor and brick break TM) A fire type isn't necessary on any team in this game. Again, dragonite is too late in the game to be very viable, plus it's a physical attacker but all dragon type attacks are special, so its typing is bad for this generation as well. So There are better electric types There are better water types There are better flying types Nidoking isn't as useful as having a different pokemon. Fire isn't a good type to use in this generation because it's rarely good against what it needs to be, and isn't worth a slot on the team. Dragonite appears too late in the game + doesn't have a good type in this game.
Oh, yeah i totally missed Electrabuzz. I get where you comming from with golduck. ( but in my honest opinion i rather want a bulkier water type, but then again Gulduck har more disadvantages by having two types, meaning if a blastoise and golduck fought, blastoise would win. though that is not what were talking about ) Tentacruel is a better defensive pokemon, but his attack pool isn't that strong, sure hydro pump is strong, but having a 5pp move isn't really suitable for battle after battle. Starmie is not a pokemon i usually use, although so i didn't think about it. Lapras is nice, Vaporeon lacks what i see is pretty necesary, although i usually use it. Fearow does have higher attack and speed stat, that doesn't make it better, mostly because having some good stats doesn't make is survivable. it's more of an high risk high reward type of deal. whiles Pidgeot is more reliable of being punished. If we are talking red and blue ( and green ), crobat isn't in kanto, but if we are talking fire red and leaf green he is, however you can only obtain it after the elite four. so a mistake on my part. Aerodactyl does give more in damage it severly gets punished by water, which adds a negative outlook on him so in theory, it's an ever bigger risk/reward scenario. I didn't count legendary bird for the reason that legendary is usually much stronger than non legendary and pseudo legendaries. Golem might have a better defensiv stats it cant even be near any water type. for his speed and low special defence. and that water does what, 4x the damage, aswell as grass, and even 2x ground. which is horrible in the elite four, which gives nidoking a huge adventage than what golem has. '' A fire type isn't necessary on any team in this game '' by that logic you could not really have anymore than one pokemon, and skip the whole team part and do it solo. not saying it is necessary, but do what you will, if i can get a growlithe fight erika for that bonus, Arcanine also learns extreme speed which is very useful, you can also learn it flying ace if you have that tm, which goes well to its attack. just because you got a fire type, it doesn't mean you must have fire attacks in your team, but to each his own.
DeadevilJr Hey wait, I still wanna debate Fearow/Aerodactyl only have a little bit less of HP/Defenses, but can deal much more damage, which is much more worth it to me. For golem, as long as you don't throw it against a water or grass type, it will be fine, because the ground weakness (and other physical weaknesses) are negated by its high defense. For arcanine, extremespeed doesn't give it any more type coverage, and (I assume you mean aerial ace and not flying ace) can be taught to pretty much anything, and only gives it an advantage to fighting types.. but if you have a flying type, then putting this move on arcanine just isn't useful. Thanks mang
My final evolution teams are usually (blue version): Raichu Pigeot Venosaur Ninetails Kingler Alakazam I’ll have to try Dodrio next time I go through it. Kingler I’ll use tm14 to teach it blizzard to take down Lance
My team is Aerodactyl,Venusaur,Persian,Kingler,Jolteon and Starmie. The reason I pick Kingler though is because he's a walking toolbox learning cut, strength, surf and rock smash. So instead of ruining my pokemon with HM I rather have a Kingler just for that.
MysticUmbreon, God bless you for making this build for fire red cuz it's the most up-to-date version of the original series that runs on my phone emulator! Thank you so much for your hard work! Subbed
Proto Man he should learn to look other things too. Like what are his Alakazam's or Gengar's weaknesses and the pokemon/pokemons that know rock slide... besides pokemons that know rock slide are not so fast compared to most of the pokemons that i have...
Since I kinda like Fire Starters more than Other Starters so my team basically contains Fire Type Starter, A Flying Type which you usually get in beginning, A Strong Water type, A Dragon or Ground Type such as Tyranitar or Salamance, Electric or Ghost type usually I prefer Electric but it depends and the much obvious HM Slave for those who don't know what it is it's a normal type Pokemon which has all HM Moves
The games give you plenty of options if you go for a sub-optimal starter, for example Nidoran (double-kick) or Mankey (in Yellow) to deal with Brock, some Grass types or Pikachu before Misty and Surge is right next to a Diglett cave of all things. Nothing wrong with going for your favourite, though yeah, Bulbasaur or even Squirtle will make your life easier.
Holy... HOLY SHOOT I TRIED OUT THIS TEAM FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME AND HOLY CRAP I GOT STRONG REAL QUICK THANK YOU also starmie dodrio and jolteon became my mvp most valuable Pokémon you are right I got past the elite four like it was nothing and dodrio’s tri attack is super powerful so I just wreck everyone in my path and starmie I actually started getting attached to it every Pokémon game I get I will always have starmie by my side
it's possible game grumps are doing it only with a beedrill, the only reason they keep dying is because they don't know shit about pokemon ((and arin doesn't know what full restore do/are, or what type is good against what, or who agatha was, but somehow got someone to train them a lvl 90 beedrill and nothing else
Well, it is quite good against most of the gyms already (dominates Brock, Misty and Giovanni; resists Lt. Surge, Erika, Koga; struggles against Sabrina and Blaine), and as such is categorized as a Pokemon rookie's go-to starter.
Gameflyer001 Isn't it funny that Squirtle, who has only two weaknesses, and can learn 2 moves that covers them plus having better coverage than the others is not considered the rookie go-to or the easy mode of the game?
Still prefer Venusaur over Charizard, and the lack of a ground type is no fun. Still, if that's what you can kick ass with, do it! Hell, I'm sure I kicked ass with even more questionable choices (like the time I swept Pokemon Yellow Koga's Gym with a Butterfree).
Just use one Clefable - it can learn a complete moveset to solo the Elite 4 (Body Slam, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt and Psychic) and in contrast to Snorlax levels up much faster (it will always have 1.16 times the level of snorlax), which more than compensates for its slightly weaker stats.
OBJECTION!! Starmie is Version Exclusive to Leaf Green and since of that, use Lapras instead. Though you get it before Sabrina, you only really need surf before blaine, so just go with lapras.
Also I have to disagree with Bulbasaur being the best. He's GREAT for the early game, but his movepool is pretty meh, especially late game. I think Squirtle is the best starter for the whole game. Whenever I play Bulbasaur, I end up not using him very much after Rock Tunnel and he feels like a drag on the team. Squirtle and Charmander don't have that problem, although Charmander is harder up until you're OUT of rock tunnel, then gets easier. Squirtle is good all throughout, Surf is great, and at worst, he might feel a little weaker than you might be able to get (lapras/starmie), but he's still very serviceable and has good survivability. My favorite has always been Charizard. And while I can agree it's not the easiest to play through, I just can't agree that bulba is the best! Very cute, it has the best sprites out of the 3, but it's just meh the later into the game you get. Squirtle is def the best in that regard. I have no idea how people can come to any other conclusion here, the game was practically made to be set up that way (bulba easy start with meh outcome, char with hard stat with great outcome, and squirtle being a good start with a good outcome, he's the even one! AND you can teach him ice beam, making him an even stronger choice) Slightly unrelated but I felt like rambling about it a bit lol i prefer charizard, but i can't deny squirtle's strength throughout the whole game.
My Team Charizard (Great Fire Type) Raichu (Misty and Blue's Blastoise) NidoKing (Great Ground Type) Primape (it's low kicks one shot rock types) Lapras (Water and Ice is amazing) Snorlax (teach it shadowball and psychics are easy)
My team when i was 10 was: 1. Venusaur - Why would you skip this beast? 2. Haunter - Because i never knew it must be traded to evolve. Silly 10 year old me. 3. Dugtrio - Easily my favorite Gen 1 Ground Pokemon 4. Flareon - I needed a Fire Pokemon on my team, and i wasn't a big fan of Rapidash & Arcanine. 5. Hitmonlee - Literally a kick-ass machine. 6. Lapras - A.K.A My MVP
The Pokemon i want here is...... 1.Blastoise Use it against Arcanine, Brock's team,Giovanni's team, and possibly Bruno's Onix in the E4. 2.Pikachu Use it against Misty's team, and even Lorelei's Lapras since its a 'Water'-Ice. 3.Snorlax Use it on some gym leaders, and also, theres no weakness to Normal, so,try to use Hyper Beam then switch another pokemon ( Like for example, when you used Hyper Beam on Blaine's Arcanine, you should switch to another Pokemon.). 4.Lapras Try to use it against Mewtwo ( to surfing),and also to Giovanni's Team. 5.Arcanine Use it against the rival's Venusaur in the final battle. 6.Exeggutor Its for some of the water types like Lapras.
Or you can just use whichever pokemon you want because: 1) All trainers in this game are grossly underleveled 2) You as a player have the luxury of choosing which pokemon to use, thus always be in a type advantage.
Good team! It was the first of your best team's i tried. Very Good team. But for the post game had to grind until level 65 because the Elite four and champion were harder
The best Pokemon you need to get for Kanto top 4 is clearly Jynx. Together with it's effective psycho and ice attacks against rock, ghost & dragon type and with its high init, there is no problem to win at all. I think that the developers had made Jynx that op because it is very similar to all the hot & icecold chicks out in this world, hurting nerds like me personally everyday. This was very effective!
my original team from Blue after I got Mewtwo never changed I kept the same 6 and naturally got them all to lvl 100 no rare candy's. the team was Venasaur, Mewtwo, Lapras, Dragonite, Alakazam, Flareon. I later traded that team to my silver game and added the red gyrados and an espeon into the rotation and had a 8 man party that rotated depending on the fight. the team eventually was accidentally deleted by my at the time baby brother and i never got another game after. until now with go. I now play with my brother who is in high school now and he is helping me track down the pokemon I need to recreate my original 6 and be ready to battle when they add it to the game.
My team: -Level 78 Blastoise -Level 70 Mewtwo -Level 54 Zapdos -Level 55 Dragonite -Level 54 Articuno I also sometimes put these pokemon in my main team: -Level 51 Pikachu -Level 52 Moltres -Level 54 Kadabra
Well, I have to assume you're playing LG/FR, and not the originals (Red,Blue & Yellow). If I'm correct in my assumption, you can very much get Steelix.
Daniel Vergara Not in the main game unless if you have a beaten FRLG and have a metal coat in that file but that is gotten in the aftergame and either with other pokemon like Golbat to Crobat the Pokemon will not evolve and the game will say I think "What" and that would not let you to get it normally so have an Onix in your game then trade your game to your friend they equip it with a Metal Coat then they trade it back to you it and it doesn't evolve and then you trade it back to them and then it will evolve and then they give it to you if I am correct
Awesome team, my best team consists of: Venusaur Arcanine/Ninetales Dragonite (tip: use rare candies you've collected across your journey and use it on dragonair when the time is right) Lapras Jolteon Snorlax What do you guys think of this team?
most people just use the lapras you get. it's pretty strong and having the psychic typing isn't nearly as important as the video suggests, especially if you're going to use an eeveelution, eevee learns bite at 30 so just train it up to that, then evolve it. I always liked using vaporeon as a water type too, (which also learns bite at 30, unlike jolteon) it's also pretty decent stat-wise.
Garrett Plue I've never had to ever consider a water type Pokemon because I've always chosen Squirtle as my starter... must be nice to have a choice 😂 I honestly don't even know what water type i would use if i didn't pick Squirtle as my starter... maybe a Tentacruel because off the bad rap it always gets? otherwise probably a Vaporeon as well... i do remember using it once and it was very tanky
I have a current team of Venusaur, Raichu, Fearow, Lapras, Flareon, and Snorlax. Everyone’s about level 40 as of now. Probably the most fun team I’ve played with in Kanto.
I haven’t played the remakes buut... My team was: Venusaur, Starmie, Tauros, Nidoking, Dodrio, Arcanine Pokemon red version for those wondering, and yes I’m aware no Alakazam in there, but Starmie is probably better anyway, running Surf, Thunderbolt, Physic and refresh makes it much more versatile!
Dark Ruler Yurei yes so many kinda makes me wanna cry because I just miss those old videos and how much time and effort he put for his fans but now he doesn't post much ;(
My Team: Venusaur Alakazam Nidoking/Queen Why only three? Because then by the time you're at the elite four, these three are incredibly OP. Nidoking can learn ice beam (or blizzard if you want the lower PP), fire blast, thunder and Earthquake. Venusaur can use body slam for anything that resists Grass. Alakazam is just OP, enough said
Star Sitsu During gen 1, Wrap was such a broken move since it prevented the foe from attacking. Slash was OP for Persian since it almost always landed critical hits with it and received STAB from it
my LG team is: Blastoise Raichu Zapdoes Alakazam Dragonite Mewtwo (After E4 Round 1, forgot witch mon I used for round 1). Your team seems more balanced.
My fav team so far: Charizard (the Flyer of the team, plus dragon claw is a nice bonus) Jolteon (eevee learns bite at 30, do it) Lapras (ice type helps immensely with lance, and very bulky, taught Psychic as well) Tauros (first time, LOVE IT, bulky and hard hitter, taught it Return and Earthquake) Primeape (fast, good attack, can be caught early, taught it Rock Slide, and Aerial Ace which was useful) and my fav hm slave Paras (cut, flash, rock smash). Cute and useful to have. This is a great team. Very solid. Just beat the elite 4 with them all at 50. First time playing with Tauros or Primeape, and I was quite happy with them. I almost always run with Jolteon. Starmie is a good alt to Lapras, and while I love it, I found Lapras much more resilient and helpful in the game due to stab ice beam. I actually OHKO lance's dragonite and couldn't believe it.
VenasaurFearow,Gyarados,Raichu, Beedrill, and Tauros is my current fire red team Beedrill is a wild card though he can be really good or really bad depending on who it goes up against Many psychic pokemon lay defeated after twin needle including the once thought all powerful alakazam and mewtwo he just had to be faster which celadon drug store helped out with a very unappreciated pokemon in my opinion.
come on man that's not fair. You know metapod is one of the few pokemon who can learn harden it just sucks all of the fun out of the game I mean if your metapod is a high enough level it can one hit the whole elite four it just makes the game unfair/not fair.
Oh shit I never thought of a team like this? I came up with a moveset for each so you don't have to struggle with moves: Metapod: Harden, Tackle, String Shot Metapod: Harden, Tackle, String Shot Metapod: Harden, Tackle, String Shot Metapod: Harden, Tackle, String Shot Metapod: Harden, Tackle, String Shot Metapod: Harden, Tackle, String Shot Hope you like it
I will never forget finding my brothers pokemon red game and seeing a save data with only a level 46 charizard and 5 gym badges.
Misty must have been aids
Bonus story:
The first time I ever beat Pokemon Red.

Charizard, Lapras, Zapdos, Alakazam ali Lv 60, its all I need
All you need is a Starmie with Surf, Ice Beam, Thunder Bolt and Psychic
Or Nidoking
If you plan on using Jolteon, make sure to level up Eevee to 30 first! It'll learn Bite, which is a dark type move (special), and it makes jolteon good for taking on psychic pokemon. So jolteon is even more helpful than the video suggests, being helpful in koga's gym, sabrina's gym, and 3 of the elite four (including agatha). If you've never tried playing with one, I highly recommend giving it a try!
i love jolteon lol
Super effective bite: 120 power
Neutral STAB thunderbolt:
over 135 power
@ApolloX44 gen 3
Jolteon is for Trainer Green, Flareon is for Trainer Red, and Vaporeon is for Rival Blue.
My favourite Pokemon is Haxorus
It can learn shadow ball with a TM which is a more powerful dark move and so he's even better.
For those who don't want to waste time. The pokémons are:

Don't you just love how you have 2 amazing Poison types that can't actually use Poison type moves because Sludge Bomb is post-game?
Toxic?
But poison is the worst type offensively. The only type weak to it is grass and it has like 5 or 6 weaknesses
Poison sting op
@# AYUSH BANIK I've never played 6 and 7 gen so I didn't take into account the Fairy type but you're right

Lol, and I'm over here soloing the game with Charizard.
In FireRed and Leafgreen, it's easier to solo with Charizard. In RBY, you'll have to grind up to at least Lv. 20.
The charmander i use destroyed everything up until misty when i had to use other things
i solo'd with Chansey*, it was much more fun

@@nshv1190 did you literally reply to your 2 year comment
Rock Slide is considerably more accurate than Rock Tomb pal
smaragdchaos
Really? The stats I found on-line said Tomb had a power of 60 and an accuracy of 95 while Slide had a power of 75 and an accuracy of 90.
Rock Blast is way better than Rock Tomb. Heck, I'd even use Rock Throw or Rollout (which is a super underrated move) over Rock Tomb.

lol no.
Squirtle is the best starter.
charmander's pretty good
I mean, they're all viable from a story mode perspective. I just like squirtle the best.
Why though? Charmander is a cool Pokemon, but he's an objectively bad starter in Kanto, he's weak against the first two gyms, and neutral against the third.
You basically need to train a Butterfree from Viridian Forest to beat Brock, or a Nidoran like the video suggests.
RIP in the chat for my man Lueroi. I miss watching his videos. I wish he’d come back

nice vid! I think, depending on your battle style, you could also choose Slowbro instead of Starmie for some extra bulk and protection against confusion (ability) ;-)
Slowbro is a great choice!
+MysticUmbreon
or you take dragonite instead of dodrio...
+DJMadMatt Doduo is easier to find, catch, and level up though.
But ideally you'd want hp fire on venasaur
no love for alakazam?
legendaryhero well sure it's a fast hard Sp.Atker, but it's defenses an even sp def is garbage
Crylec It's suppose to be a glass cannon
David Hernandez yeah, thats the problem we already have a good psychic type that can take a hit
i used alakazam in leaf green. was very quick to attack and confusion still does lot of damage, despite psychic and psybeam, was very good pokemon to use
But it one shots and our speeds everything so that doesn't matter, and it gets reflect and recover.

Look at the internet to know how to get moves for each pokemon.
Radhika Raj what about giga impact
My suggestions:
Firered:
Venusaur: Giga Drain, Leech Seed, Sleep Powder, Toxic
Why: Giga Drain is the best stab, Leech Seed and Sleep Powder stall and help you catch mons, toxic is there just for utility, but any good poison type move will do in this slot. Tackle should NEVER be on a fully evolved mon, solar beam takes 2 turns to complete unless you have sunny day, and razor leaf is too weak.
Pidgeot: Fly, Steel Wing, Return, Thief
Why: Fly to get where you want, Return is a good Normal stab, Steel Wing and Thief for coverage. Hyper Beam leaves you vulnerable and Pidgeot doesn't have the defenses to take a hit.
Electabuzz: Thunderbolt, Brick Break, Strength, Psychic
Why: Thunderbolt for stab, Brick Break and Psychic for coverage, and Strength for moving rocks. Electabuzz can't learn Thunder Wave and Light Screen ins't much use.
Arcanine: Flamethrower, Bite, Extreme Speed, Rock Smash
Why: Flamethrower for stab, Bite for coverage, Extreme Speed for priority, and Rock Smash for utility. Take Down is pathetic and has recoil to boot.
Poliwrath: Submission, Surf, Bulk Up, Rock Tomb
Why: Submission for stab, Bulk Up for boosting, Surf for utility, and Rock Tomb for coverage. Brick Break is a TM and can only be used on 1 mon, plus Submission is more powerful anyway, and Poliwrath's special attack sucks, so ice beam is only good for mons with 4x weakness to it, same with Hydro Pump.
Marowak: Earthquake, Thrash, Aerial Ace, Protect
Earthquake for stab, Thrash and Aerial Ace for coverage, Protect for scouting. Rock Slide on Marowak is egg move only, Marowak is too slow for False Swipe to be of any use, and Bonemerang is repetitive.
Leafgreen:
Pidgeot: See above.
Venusaur: See above.
Everything else looks good.
Venasaur, Golem, Arcanine, Alakazam/Mewtwo, Nidoking, /Jolteon/Electabuzz.
Radhika Raj Thats a bad team dude.
I disagree. Snorlax is an amazing pokemon, but I'd say that a better pokemon to have in your party is Arcanine.
I would use a Taurous instead. They are so good.
tauros is a destroyer, probs most powerful normal type of gen 1.
The surfing bull is the best bull.
@Jam Nation special was already splitted in leaf green and fire red.
Yes, special was splitted, but what he means is that all normals type attacks are considered physical. So are ground type attacks. This changed in generation 4 where every attack could be either special or physical, and therefore using the attack stat, or the special attack stat.
Venusaur
Arcanine
Lapras
Jolteon
Snorlax
Aerodactyl
Honorable mentions:
Alakazam, Machamp, Blissey, Golem, Gengar
I'm all about type variety:
1. Victreebel - Grass/Poison
2. Charizard - Fire/Flying
3. Poliwrath - Water/Fighting
4. Magneton - Electric/Steel
5. Golem - Rock/Ground
6. Jynks - Ice/Psyquic
With this much variety you're all covered, this is the team I used in the remakes.
You don't need a team all you need is Charizard
Aftab Hussain Oh, I didn't say that was my moveset. Fly Cut Blast Burn and Fire Blast.
Wow u need a ugly dragon wow
You forgot to take Alakazam into consideration
I look at these movesets and just think: HOLY SHIT, these people fucking suck.
In RBY the Dark type doesn't exist.
But Mystic CLEARLY said that he's covering the Gen 3 remakes.
Master Mewtwo Gen 4 sure I'll believe that :) I always appreciate your comments bud.
It´s a very nice team. I remember having Nidoking and Jolteon in Kanto journeys :D Also, Starmie is one of the most underrated pokemon imo. I usually have it with recover, psychic/shadow ball, thunderbolt and surf :)
Dodrio and Snorlax are good pokemon (but I never use them)
I love starmie. I run Rain Dance, surf, thunder, psychic.
I would be so down with a blue remake for the 3ds just to have a reason to have a remake remake Kanto game with 3ds graphics. Oh and a crystal remake for the 3ds.
my team is
1)venausar
2)gyarados
3)jolteon
4)nidoking
5)arcanine
6)dragonite
I would change gyarados for lapras.
Very nice team. Mine is
1. Venusaur
2. Slowbro
3. Machamp
4. Kangaskhan
5. Electabuzz
6. Rhydon
Nice!
My team was
Blastoise
Arcanine
Nidoking
Pidgeot
Jolteon
Exeggutor
brock penopokefalos yeah the underrated op gyradose
my team:
Charizard :Dragon Claw, Fly, Blast Burn, Flamethrower
Nidoking :Strength, Toxic, Earthquake, Brick break
Exeggcutor: Hyper Beam, Razor Leaf, Psychic, Flash
Jolteon: Thunder Bolt, Thunder Wave, Double kick, Shadow Ball
Snorlax: Hyper Beam, Snore, Rest, Shadow Ball
Lapras: Surf, Ice Beam, Sheer Cold, Hydro Pump
What do u guys think is this good?
I mean solar beam not hyper beam on exeggcutor
my charizard has the exact same attacks.
i would change ur lapras moveset to surf ice beam psychic and thunderbolt (the same moveset loralei has to her lapres)
I'd replace exacutor with mew or mewtwo and lapras for articuno its your choice
Using legendaries is pathetic pal
love watching those videos again ❤️
remember when i played leaf green for the first time
Venusaur
Mr. Mime
Farfetch’d
Snorlax
Lapras
and last pokemon i had was Sandslash for most of the game, then i switched to hitmonchan, but it was so useless so i took my sandslash back for elite four 😂
There is one problem in this team which is that vensaur nidoking and dorio are all weak to ice so i will recommand that you will switch nidoking for machamp or any good fighting type
itay weiss but starmie can resist the heck out of ice moves
lapras is even better against ice, 4x resistance
It appears that a ton of people had Dragonite, Snorlax, and Jolteon! Myself? I didn't use em.
Nicholas FitzGerald, personally I use Dragonite to simply "show off" my patience to raise a Dragonair. I would prefer Blastoise and Haunter, alongside ANY other 4 of my choosing. Once I had a Jigglypuff and a Butterfree in the Hall of Fame for both Kanto and Sinnoh...
i always used Snorlax back in the day. never do now lol
Best Team for Kanto
1) Blastoise
2) Pidgeot
3) Nidoking
4) Raichu
5) Arcanine
6) Dragonite
There are better water types
There are better flying types
Imo, Golem learns way better moves, if you can trade for it, and despite having many weaknesses, it's generally pretty obvious if they'll have something strong against it.
Raichu is a terrible pokemon stat wise
The other two are good but arcanine is not as good type wise for Kanto and Dragonite is pretty late game.
-Tentacruel has much better special defense, which is more important than defense when it comes to water types in this game, and can tank just as well as Blastoise
-Starmie is similar to Golduck but with better stats where it matters (sp attack/speed) and a more useful typing, though it's only available in leafgreen.
-Fearow learns much better moves and has better attack and speed,
-Crobat isn't in this generation, but Golbat is, though it's not that good.
-Dodrio for the same reasons as Fearow
-Aerodactyl for the same reasons + its rock type which can help for type coverage.
-All of the legendary birds
Golem learns way better moves than Nidoking, if you use Nidoking it doesn't get a good ground type move unless you give it Dig until you get Earthquake which is after the 8th gym.
So
There are better electric types
There are better water types
There are better flying types
Nidoking isn't as useful as having a different pokemon.
( but in my honest opinion i rather want a bulkier water type, but then again Gulduck har more disadvantages by having two types, meaning if a blastoise and golduck fought, blastoise would win. though that is not what were talking about )
Tentacruel is a better defensive pokemon, but his attack pool isn't that strong, sure hydro pump is strong, but having a 5pp move isn't really suitable for battle after battle.
DeadevilJr Hey wait, I still wanna debate
Fearow/Aerodactyl only have a little bit less of HP/Defenses, but can deal much more damage, which is much more worth it to me.
Thanks mang
My final evolution teams are usually (blue version):
Raichu
Pigeot
Venosaur
Ninetails
Kingler
Alakazam
I’ll have to try Dodrio next time I go through it.
Kingler I’ll use tm14 to teach it blizzard to take down Lance
what moves do I use for each Pokemon doe??? Please MysticUmbreon answer me.
You could oh I don't know... do some research on your own.
Brazilian Peanut he lists moves you could use
My team is Aerodactyl,Venusaur,Persian,Kingler,Jolteon and Starmie. The reason I pick Kingler though is because he's a walking toolbox learning cut, strength, surf and rock smash. So instead of ruining my pokemon with HM I rather have a Kingler just for that.
Lain Hikaru Surf is actually a good move
My team is:
Blastoise
Pidgeot
Vileplume
Snorlax
Arcanine
Nidoking
good Team man
mine:
Blastoise
Pidgeot
Dugtrio
arcanine
Primeape
Jolteon
Beat the e4 with it while underleveled
noice mate we almost have the same team but instead Snorlax is a Jolteon and Pidgeot is a Dragonite :)
perfect.
Lolol ik I'm late but my team is:
Charizard.
Primeape.
Raichu.
Nidoking.
Dragonite.
And Gyarados.
MysticUmbreon, God bless you for making this build for fire red cuz it's the most up-to-date version of the original series that runs on my phone emulator! Thank you so much for your hard work! Subbed
1 Charizard: Fly, Flamethrower, Dig, Fire Blast
2 Dragonite: Outrage, Dragon Breath, Flamethrower, Ice Beam
3 Hypno: Hypnosis, Dream Eater, Psychic, Shadow Ball
4 Gyarados: Surf, Dragonbreath, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt
5 Nidoking: Sludge Bomb, Earthquake, Thunderbolt, Torment
6 Gengar: Psychic, Shadow Ball, Confuse Ray, Destiny Bond
Faster Rock Slide user and there goes half your team
Gengar or Alakzam with ShadowBall and Psychhic and there goes your other half
Was destiny bond in FR/LG? Also what does torment do?
toshio1334 You seem to be new to Pokemon XD Go learn some more strategy before coming back and trying to look smart XD
Chat Sh*t Get Gaming Yes it is... Torment prevents the opponent to use same move in a row.
Fire is litreally the worst starter type so dont choose them off of looks
Jink8 Official yah but grass is still better in every reigion
Exept you
CHIKORITA
The games give you plenty of options if you go for a sub-optimal starter, for example Nidoran (double-kick) or Mankey (in Yellow) to deal with Brock, some Grass types or Pikachu before Misty and Surge is right next to a Diglett cave of all things. Nothing wrong with going for your favourite, though yeah, Bulbasaur or even Squirtle will make your life easier.
Tyranitar isn't a ground type
Milan Wassenberg he's a ground dark type
I've spent like an hour fishing for staryu with the super rod but I still can't find him in pallet town
you must be playing fire red ,you can only get staryu in leaf green. or your really unlucky.
Go for lapras
Bernice Matthews I know. You get him from helping fight team rocket in saffron city
The Surge same
I actually tried out this team (but I switched out dodrio for aerodactyl) and it worked fantastically
I have played the game to the end only useing Raticate.
Guess it was the top percentage of raticate eh?
David Sutherland
It's actaly very easy when your Pokemon is 20 lvl. over everone else.
suuuuuuuure
it's possible game grumps are doing it only with a beedrill, the only reason they keep dying is because they don't know shit about pokemon ((and arin doesn't know what full restore do/are, or what type is good against what, or who agatha was, but somehow got someone to train them a lvl 90 beedrill and nothing else
Crystal madu you dont know shit about pokemon
YES FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES THAT BULBASAUR IS THE BEST
Hell yeah! Bulbasaur is the shit!
The good kind of shit!
Pablo Rivera Ya Bulbasaur gonna take over!
Well, it is quite good against most of the gyms already (dominates Brock, Misty and Giovanni; resists Lt. Surge, Erika, Koga; struggles against Sabrina and Blaine), and as such is categorized as a Pokemon rookie's go-to starter.
chari ftw
Gameflyer001
Isn't it funny that Squirtle, who has only two weaknesses, and can learn 2 moves that covers them plus having better coverage than the others is not considered the rookie go-to or the easy mode of the game?
I had
Venusaur
Nidoking
Jolteon
Dragonite
Snorlax
Lapras
Joshua Mariano very nice sir
Same but I had charizard instead of Venusaur
1. Alakazam
2. Charizard
3. Jolteon
4. Snorlax
5. Starmie/Lapras
6. Gengar
I have Charizard, Jolteon, and Starmie along with Dragonite, Crobat and Kabutops in leafgreen
AND you can teach him ice beam, making him an even stronger choice)
Slightly unrelated but I felt like rambling about it a bit lol i prefer charizard, but i can't deny squirtle's strength throughout the whole game.
My team for kanto is:
Charizard
Lapras
Snorlax
Raichu
Pigeot
Dragonite
Szymonn Kwoczko 3 flying types, why tho
Szymonn Kwoczko tooooo many flying types
My team was
Venasuar
Nidoking
Dragonite
Scyther (scizor)
Alakazam
Ninetails
Szymonn Kwoczko having snorlax is good so i saw ur team can be unstoppable
mine is
blastoise
machamp
dragonite
jolteon
arcanine
gengar
My Team
Charizard (Great Fire Type)
Raichu (Misty and Blue's Blastoise)
NidoKing (Great Ground Type)
Primape (it's low kicks one shot rock types)
Lapras (Water and Ice is amazing)
Snorlax (teach it shadowball and psychics are easy)
My team:
Venusaur
Dragonite
Jolteon
Rhydon
Arcanine
Lapras
Charizard
Pidgeot
Gyarados
Alakazam
Exeggutor
Rhydon
[S] MeGaLoVanian Buckets Except instead of rhydon snorlax
[S] MeGaLoVanian Buckets by the way my fav poke is jolteon
[S] MeGaLoVanian Buckets Tauros is broken
Arcanine 👍
My team when i was 10 was:
1. Venusaur - Why would you skip this beast?
2. Haunter - Because i never knew it must be traded to evolve. Silly 10 year old me.
3. Dugtrio - Easily my favorite Gen 1 Ground Pokemon
4. Flareon - I needed a Fire Pokemon on my team, and i wasn't a big fan of Rapidash & Arcanine.
5. Hitmonlee - Literally a kick-ass machine.
6. Lapras - A.K.A My MVP
The Pokemon i want here is......
1.Blastoise
Use it against Arcanine, Brock's team,Giovanni's team, and possibly Bruno's Onix in the E4.
2.Pikachu
Use it against Misty's team, and even Lorelei's Lapras since its a 'Water'-Ice.
3.Snorlax
Use it on some gym leaders, and also, theres no weakness to Normal, so,try to use Hyper Beam then switch another pokemon ( Like for example, when you used Hyper Beam on Blaine's Arcanine, you should switch to another Pokemon.).
4.Lapras
Try to use it against Mewtwo ( to surfing),and also to Giovanni's Team.
5.Arcanine
Use it against the rival's Venusaur in the final battle.
6.Exeggutor
Its for some of the water types like Lapras.
No flying types?
Or you can just use whichever pokemon you want because:
1) All trainers in this game are grossly underleveled
2) You as a player have the luxury of choosing which pokemon to use, thus always be in a type advantage.
i swear i remember this video being edited differently, i feel like it changed.
I thought it was only me!! Also this video has so much nostalgia
High WHAT?
@@7792pnaurfr high initiative i mean
my original team from Blue after I got Mewtwo never changed I kept the same 6 and naturally got them all to lvl 100 no rare candy's. the team was Venasaur, Mewtwo, Lapras, Dragonite, Alakazam, Flareon.
Life has to suck when you have younger siblings, ive never had a problem with someone deleting my files because i was the "baby" of my siblings xD
+TheLegitLifeProject Luckily for me, my brother knows, he messes with my game, BAAAD things happen.
+Jason Ultimate hell yeah xD
Have you gotten your original team back yet
Rip, Mewtwo doesn't exist (yet) in Go.
I love that you used a clip of Lueroi's Starmie
My team:
-Level 78 Blastoise
-Level 70 Mewtwo
-Level 54 Zapdos
-Level 55 Dragonite
-Level 54 Articuno
I also sometimes put these pokemon in my main team:
-Level 51 Pikachu
-Level 52 Moltres
-Level 54 Kadabra
My favorite pokemon are my blastoise (my starter) and pikachu (first pokemon ever caught)
Blastoise:Gary's Rhydon,Blain
Haunter Gary's Alakazam,Subrina
Ninetales:Gary's Venusaur,Erica
Golem:Gary's Pidgeot,Blaine, Surge, Koga
Ditto: basically everything
Raichu:Gary's Pidgeot, Misty,
Replace Golem with either Steelix or Rhydon and your Ditto with any other people and you'll be golden. ;D
Daniel Vergara I can't have Steelix this is my Kanto team
Awesome team, my best team consists of:
Venusaur
Arcanine/Ninetales
Dragonite (tip: use rare candies you've collected across your journey and use it on dragonair when the time is right)
Lapras
Jolteon
Snorlax
What do you guys think of this team?
Starmie is version exclusive to Leaf Green.
Well i created a Hack Rom that you can catch anyone from fire red or leaf green
most people just use the lapras you get. it's pretty strong and having the psychic typing isn't nearly as important as the video suggests, especially if you're going to use an eeveelution, eevee learns bite at 30 so just train it up to that, then evolve it. I always liked using vaporeon as a water type too, (which also learns bite at 30, unlike jolteon) it's also pretty decent stat-wise.
So play Leaf Green or trade
"a Hack Rom" what are you, 10 years old?
Red should have a Flareon anyway instead of a Charizard that only Blue should get to use.
My team was:
Venusaur
Lapras
Arcanine
Zapdos
Snorlax
Nidoking
Nice
NomTacoCat why do you have Lapras and Snorlax at the same team?
Mine is Shiny Gyarados, Raichu, Charizard, Pidegeot, Vineplume, and Articuno
My Kanto Team is usually:
Blastoise
Raichu
Ninetales or Flareon
Vileplume
Gengar
Alakazam
Venusaur, Fearow, Lapras, Alakazam, Jolteon, Snorlax
This was my team going through firered, What do you Think?
Nikola The whole team is great, but you should have used Pidgeot instead of Fearow
Its great cause you used Pokemon you like. :D
I haven’t played the remakes buut...
My team was: Venusaur, Starmie, Tauros, Nidoking, Dodrio, Arcanine
Pokemon red version for those wondering, and yes I’m aware no Alakazam in there, but Starmie is probably better anyway, running Surf, Thunderbolt, Physic and refresh makes it much more versatile!
Holy shit that split second of lueroi gameplay when you're talking about starmie brings back memories...
Dark Ruler Yurei yes so many kinda makes me wanna cry because I just miss those old videos and how much time and effort he put for his fans but now he doesn't post much ;(
"Dotrio is the best flying type in the game"
*Me with an Aerodactyl*
Aerodactyl is awesome and it's a great flyer but you get it to late in the game and its level 5.
Venusaur
Ninetales
Pidgeot
Poliwrath
Pikachu
Dragonite
2nd team
Charixard
Blastoise
Venusaur
Lapras
Snorlax
Pikachu
(im not joking)
That's red team from Pokémon Black2 & white2
Pokemon yellow?
You nearly have the exact team I prefer for Kanto lol except for snorlax... Awesome vid
Not the biggest fan of using Snorlax, I take it?
My Team:
Venusaur
Alakazam
Nidoking/Queen
Why only three?
Because then by the time you're at the elite four, these three are incredibly OP.
Nidoking can learn ice beam (or blizzard if you want the lower PP), fire blast, thunder and Earthquake.
Venusaur can use body slam for anything that resists Grass.
Alakazam is just OP, enough said
"body slam for anything that resists grass"
Gengar: Am I a joke to you?
Rip Arbok wrap
And RIP Persian with Slash
nnnnnoooooooooooooo
ahahahahahaha old times ;)
?
Star Sitsu
During gen 1, Wrap was such a broken move since it prevented the foe from attacking. Slash was OP for Persian since it almost always landed critical hits with it and received STAB from it
My team during Kanto.
1. Venusaur
2. Cloyster
3. Jolteon
4. Machamp
5. Dugtrio
6. Alakazam
Plus a PC Bird.
You need a fire type
my LG team is:
Blastoise
Raichu
Zapdoes
Alakazam
Dragonite
Mewtwo (After E4 Round 1, forgot witch mon I used for round 1).
Your team seems more balanced.
you don't "NEED" A fire type in fact who said you only needed these types you can freely select any type(s) and make a team
Come on bruv, every team has to have a fire and water
My fav team so far:
Charizard (the Flyer of the team, plus dragon claw is a nice bonus)
Jolteon (eevee learns bite at 30, do it)
Lapras (ice type helps immensely with lance, and very bulky, taught Psychic as well)
Tauros (first time, LOVE IT, bulky and hard hitter, taught it Return and Earthquake)
Primeape (fast, good attack, can be caught early, taught it Rock Slide, and Aerial Ace which was useful)
and my fav hm slave Paras (cut, flash, rock smash).
I also havw Beedrill and Tauros! I only keot the Beedrill because it's shiny lol but it's at like lvl 70 now and my Venusaur is lvl.54 smh
Mine would be:

Just wreck everyone with a caterpie
come on man that's not fair. You know metapod is one of the few pokemon who can learn harden it just sucks all of the fun out of the game I mean if your metapod is a high enough level it can one hit the whole elite four it just makes the game unfair/not fair.
+MUDFISH not fun*
Hope you like flamethrower bro
Oh shit I never thought of a team like this? I came up with a moveset for each so you don't have to struggle with moves:
Metapod: Harden, Tackle, String Shot
Metapod: Harden, Tackle, String Shot
Metapod: Harden, Tackle, String Shot
Metapod: Harden, Tackle, String Shot
Metapod: Harden, Tackle, String Shot
Metapod: Harden, Tackle, String Shot
Hope you like it
The level curve in kanto is ridiculous too. After Erika, you got to grind just to be on par with Sabrina and Koga
