I’m very impressed with Polene too. I especially love their new releases. Previously I thought they were just reinventing the Numero Un over and over but now they’re being much more creative with their designs.

I like it Carol. It´s a very nice little bag! In my book it´s pros are the colour, size, the feet and the prize! The con is the non removable strap, but that is a minor one, it´s lovely and suit you so nice especially with those lovely pants! Thank´s for the share. Love

I can't believe how much the price has gone up
Thank you for such a great video. It helped me decide on the size and I got the mini and loving it. You know what's interesting? I got the first one in black and loved it so much that decided to get one in camel like yours. It came today and it smells like you described but my black one did not 🤔 not sure why that is. And I completely agree with you about the back seam. It's not that visible on the black bag but is on the camel. Not sure why they didn't hide it. Anyways, thank you for helping me decide. Hope you're still enjoying yours. I can't put these cute bags down lol
Yay I’m glad you love the bag too. I’ve been using mine a ton as well. And it’s interesting that the black one didn’t smell like that.
It's March 2023 and I just purchased this bag in camel as well... there is no stitch line in the back of my bag. I guess polene listened to the customers and made it seamless. It also had a strong smell but I left the bag out and it went away overnight. This bag is beautiful 😍

Great video! Very informative. I am curious, do you find it difficult to take items out of the bag, because of the pleats? It looks like the drawstring is more of an esthetic than to actually enlarge the opening.
Not really. The opening is wide enough especially after the handle softens a little. The drawstring cinches the bag closed so it’s not just for looks but I don’t really use that feature because it’s secure enough without it.

I love the design but would never ever wear it from the strap nor do I like it to hang when I’m holding it from the top handle. Do you think The knots on the strap can be undone or unsewn to remove forever?
Unfortunately I have no idea if that’s possible.
Hello I notice that the texture of your bag is smooth, whereas the website only describes it as grained leather. When you purchased it, was there an option for smooth or grained?
I just checked the website and mine is the one they show there. The options are the same as when I bought it. It’s not completely smooth like box leather but not heavily grained like Chanel’s caviar leather for example.
I would suggest changing the camera angle when you're putting items into the bag. Gives us a better view as you're putting items in 😊

Hi Carol,. I really want to buy a Polene bag, love the No1 nano but too small, I need a compact umbrella essential into my bag. thank you for the review, this gives me another option, I love to carry my bag crossbody. May I know what s your height ? Do you know how wide is the shoulder strap ? if is too thin it will be painful if the bag stuffed and heavy. The only thing is the bag opening no magnet clip and is just the drawstring, is that safe enough ? would be easily someone can put their hands in getting your stuff ?

I’m 5’4 and the strap is adjustable so it works very well. The strap is about an inch wide. And I think the bag is relatively safe especially if you cinch the drawstring up. Because there’s a handle there, it’s not that easy for someone to reach their hand inside. However that also makes it a little less convenient for you too at the same time.
@@CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC thank you, I remember you mentioned you don’t like to carry it as crossbag as it bulges out ? And prefer to hand carry it, for me I am otherwise… so don’t know if I shld get this design, because unable to see and try the bag physically, is so hard to choose and get one.
I am going back and forth thinking which one to get, my 1st love is the Nano, love the design and button but after seeing so many review, May not suitable for me when I want to put an umbrella 21cm.

Do you currently have any bucket bags? I feel the same way about wearing any bucket bag crossbody so if you feel differently then you probably wouldn’t have the same opinion as me on top handle vs crossbody. I do want to mention though that for the size of umbrella you need to carry, you might need the regular numero huit instead of the mini.

The numero Un big one, no is abit big for my petite size and I don’t really need a big bag, I am looking for a small/medium bag just to fit my umbrella, wallet, tissues and handphone. I don’t have much makeup things to carry. What other design would you recommend ? Saw other reviews, do you think No. 10 is a good option ?
I don’t personally have the dix but it’s a really pretty bag. I looked up the dimensions and it seems like your umbrella could fit in there but it’ll be a tight fit if it does fit. And it’ll have to sit right on top because of the crescent shape of the bag so everything else that you’ll likely have to access more often than your umbrella will be underneath it. I’d imagine this would get annoying if you have to remove your umbrella every time you need something. Just something to keep in mind but aside from that it’s a great functional bag.

Would the strap be easily cut/removed permanently?
Unfortunately I don’t think it’s easily doable because the strap is knotted around the top handle around where it’s attached to the bag. It might not be impossible but it’s risky.

I am 5’4”. The strap is adjustable so you can choose where you like it to sit against your body.

It’s approximately 0.8 lbs. I weighed it on my bathroom scale so it might not be the most accurate.
