Great detailed review! Adore how sculptural/artistic this bag is! I just wish there was a Polene store in my country, so I could try on the mini vs the larger size.
I know, it’s tricky ordering items online without being able to see them. I would say, if you plan to wear the plan on your shoulder or crossbody style, go for the mini. It’s perfect for wearing it that way, and you can also hand carry it too and it looks cute and dainty.

Saw this in your most used of 2022 and had to learn more! Love the soft leather and rounded silhouette. Up my alley on size and crossbody. Great price point. And quiet branding. Thx for your always awesome thorough reviews! Maybe a future purchase 😅.

Thank you! It’s a great point! I had mentioned Polene over a year ago and was on-the-fence about trying their bags for a long time. The main issue is that there is no Polene store in NYC (yet) and I really wanted to see the bags in person - you know, touch and feel them and try them on. When the Numero Sept was released, I became VERY interested in that specific bag, so if Polene hadn’t generously sent it to me, I probably would’ve bitten the bullet and ordered it for myself - especially because I kept receiving comments here from subscribers saying how I needed to try Polene! This was definitely a case where I was influenced by my audience vs the other way around! 😂
As for the Neuf Mini, I truly don’t think I would’ve had the guts to try out such a different and unique style without seeing it in person first. While the simple, minimalist aesthetic is right up my alley, it’s also very soft and artistic and sculptural which is not my usual style (if you can tell). So I probably would’ve shied away from it or maybe waited until I was able to see it in person.
Funny enough, I think I am even more smitten with the Neuf Mini than the Sept at this point!🙈 💕 🥰

No matter the beauty of whatever I purchase, I won't carry something if it's not lightweight comfortable and has good function. This seems a little fussy to get in and out of, but I'm willing to overlook that because I don't carry a ton of items. Thanks again. Looking forward to the next one.
@@paddymcd6410 Thank you for your kind words! Means a lot. Admittedly, this is not the easiest bag to get in and out of, but when I pack light (which is most days anyway) it works just fine. I thought the placement of the top handle was going to bother me, but actually it’s the black interior that would be my one pet peeve about this bag. It’s hard to see inside the “black hole.” I wonder what color the interior of the cognac bag is!
@@hellocatwalkcity yes I probably wouldn't use it as an everyday bag but it's so darn sculpturally beautiful, it would be nice to have it to wear a couple times a week and I don't carry a lot so I don't think the opening would bother me for limited use. I can see why the black interior would be problematic but I assume the cognac would be a lighter interior. Thanks again for all your input! By the way I ordered that brown and red leather strap that you showed in an older video for your speedy b in damier ebene from DUYP. It's awesome with my LV Eva clutch in DE. Much more comfortable than the really long strap that comes with that bag. Totally different look + it puts the bag at a much more comfortable height for me as well. I think it elevates the look of the bag. So thanks for that video as well! And the 15% off. 😉

My polene un nano bag has the same edge paint peeling issue. I have an older version of the polene neuf in the regular size which has no peeling edge paint. The colour has rubbed off on the corners or "chipped off". Just wanted to add this in case people are considering a poelne bag, I have a feeling the quality is changing :(

Thank you for such a lovely in depth review. I’m planning on getting this bag this year and wondering how the shape has held up? Do you stuff the bag when storing it? What’s the wear and tear now after a year
You’ll actually see an update on this bag in my very next video! I don’t stuff it. I store it inside its dust bag with the strap tucked in. Virtually no wear or tear that I can see after over a year of use.

Oh what do you mean by asymmetric? Which part of the bag? I’m traveling at the moment so I can’t check my bag until I get back home but I haven’t noticed anything off on my mini Neuf. I love mine!! It’s such a cutie!
@@hellocatwalkcity The folds in the front and in the back of the bag. Looking straight on, one side was sitting higher than the other side and the way it was folded was also different. I honestly didn't see it at first but it got pointed out to me and then I couldn't unsee it unfortunately. I still adore the style! I agree it is so adorable and the leather is amazing. I have the micro neuf to enjoy for the time being lol.

@@hellocatwalkcity They were actually kind enough to cover the charges for a return, but the color is on pre-order right now so I don't think an exchange would be possible. I will hold off until I can hopefully visit their anticipated New York location soon. I have also been eyeing the picotin 18 so hindsight, this might not have been such a terrible trade off 😂

This is my first time visiting your channel. Was looking for a review of this bag. I am extremely tempted to order it in camel. I only have one concern that I actually think is major. Most of their bags - except this one - have studs on the bottom and I am concerned that the corners especially will be damaged. Now that you have had the bag for a few months what is your verdict? 🙄
So far, no issues with the bottom of the bag! There are no sharp corners to rub (since it’s a curved bag), so I don’t think it’ll wear at the bottoms like other bags might.

I really adore the look of this bag but worry that I'd be constantly annoyed trying to get things in and out of the opening given the fact that the handle doesn't move.

I hate how the handle is in the way of the opening. It makes it's hard to get in and out.

They should consider putting feet on this bag, and it’s a task to retrieve your items from this particular bag, which could be an annoyance.
Feet would be bonus 👌 and yes, the mouth of the bag is tricky to get in and out of if you have bulkier items.

The quality of the polene bags is very poor and the return policy is a joke. Don’t buy unless you want a bag that lasts just a few weeks or you are fine if you don’t get your refund back after returning the bag. Stay away from this company and I’m telling you this because of my own experience
What happened to the bag?
@@LA-sj5vz I sent it back and after multiple calls with the polene customer service I managed to get my refund. I will never buy any other products from this company
