Thanks for posting this. I'm about to pull the trigger on a Decked system but was concerned with the loss of overhead space with a traditional non-modular rack. This is awesome, even though it's almost 3x the cost of a normal rack I think this is totally worth it. I'm convinced. Going to start saving now.
Oh I wish I was keeping it. Was just testing it for like 4-5 months. Wanted to show people what it was like but I had to give it back after I finished the video. The molle panels look really cool though.
Another awesome review! 💪🏻 That’s one of the neatest bed racks I’ve seen. I have an overbuilt FJ Cruiser but if I had a truck I would definitely check that rack out. It does look sharp on your truck. Your Yota is looking good with the lift and tires! 💪🏻 Keep up the videos!
Yeah it’s really nice and I like the accessories with it. I wish I would have tried it with more accessories. Just tested it out for a few months to see what the hype was about.
It really does look great. I have the yakima adjustable rack on my truck - I really enjoy having the ability to put my kayaks up top and they are above my cab. On the kuat, I like that the cross bars are flush, and still have the ability to drop a tnut in.
@@OXFOOT we have a kuat hitch bike rack, it is really nice. Cost almost as much as my entire bed rack system though. 😂 The yakima is functional, I like the HD bars I use for cross bars because they have the tslots and they have bars to attach tied owns to on the very ends. They aren't fancy like some of the kuat details, but they are very functional.
Any solutions to the bed space and tonneau cover dilemma if you want to throw gear back there but keep it dry?? I know there is the retrax, just wondering about other options and if you found any options.... really like your video! great job sharing the IBEX with everyone
@@OXFOOTWould you as kind as to share the lift set up please? What type of shocks, height in the rear, front, rims specs and tire specs please? Thank you.
@@marek19 bilstein 6100 (for now, going to Dirt King soon) I think it’s a 2-3” lift, SPC upper control arms, 35x12.5x17 Nitto ridge grapplers, SSW apex 17x9 with a 0 offset wheels.
I have a Tundra double cab also and I'm interested in the Ibex also. I would like to see the panel kit when it comes out, and hope it takes up some of the space at the cab. It can also be mounted to the Retrax XR cover! I would like to run the Piston SR bike rack on the side, but what I've see it doesn't look like it could with the panel kit at the same time. Thanks for the video!
It’s really nice, I like the idea of coming back to this rack once the topper enclosure gets released. I like the rack but I’m ready for my topper set up.
Great content! Question - I have the Ibex rack and recently got a James Baroud Odyssey and the mounts it came with don't fit around the bars, like you referenced in the video. What mounts are you using??? Thank you.
I'd buy that rack in a heartbeat if it was stake hole mounted instead of bed rails. That way you could run either the Tri-fold or Revolver Tonneau covers. But the side panels have intrigued me depending on security and weather proofing. Out of curiosity how easy is it to remove the top cross bars? Like if i wanted to take them off quickly and put a ATV or Dirtbike in the bed but keep the side bars on.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out this video, links are in the description!
What really got me with this design is to add panels later on. No permanent set up just options

I love how modern and well designed it is! Right now its a bit bare for me but can wait til you put Molle panels

@@OXFOOT wish I had that privilege, I've been running backs for about a month been solid
It looked so good on your truck man. Im so excited to see this build progress
Yeah it probably looked the best with this set up. The new one is really secure but I’m ready for the topper

I’ve got so much more I’m wanting to do with it so hopefully I can get it the way I like it over the next year. Been a great truck so far.
Very interesting. Will be looking at it. If it matches the quality of my bike rack and swing mechanism, will be great. Not cheap, but high quality.

I hope this is successful enough for them to do some more bed lengths a short one for the Maverick/R1T would be great!
Yeah that would awesome. It would look really nice with the lines of a modern truck.
Thanks for the excellent coverage, @Oxfoot!
Thanks! Love Kuat’s stuff. Ended up getting some more stuff from them after testing this one out.

I’m about to test out some Yakima stuff here in a few days. I’ve always been a Thule/ Kuat guy but I’ve always heard good things about Yakima.

7:57 switching rack height. This info is hard to find on YT elsewhere. Thanks!
love the color of your truck
Took me months to find it in that color. This, the army green, and the cement grey are my favorite tundra colors.

Great video, thank you
Thanks! Much appreciated!
That looks good. It looks like it can be tricked out. I need that for my Tundra ;)

I used the bill bars mounts. It’s a big square one and I got longer bolts. I’ll see if I can find that.
These with the Billie bars amzn.to/3VzFOIw
Great info! Do you know whether they have half height for Tacoma sized trucks? Thanks
@4WDisLife Every SKU is full height or mid height out of the box! Users choice.

I’m not familiar with stake hole, is that like clamps? I don’t see why this wouldn’t work with clamps. I believe most racks work either way.
