you have replaced a rubber foam surround suspension with a foam suspension which is perforated by construction.this will solve the cracking sound issue but you wont get the true sound which it had with the rubber type non perforated surround suspension ring.also pay attention to the symmetry of the suspension while adhering it to the speaker cone.heating may bring down the gauss of the neodimium magnet.otherwise nice job
I have 10 of this speakers now all 10 units are sounding same. and the foam ring is of same thickness and same strength so didn't not changed the sound after replacement, I am telling this because I did it here practically so I experienced it. Thankyou so much for your feed back.
