▶ Technique: Swipe
▶ Canvas size: 40 x20 inch
▶ Pouring Medium formula: My paints are mixed with a pouring medium using Floetrol/Owatrol (1:3 Paint: Pouring Medium) with just a dash of water to make it slightly more fluid.
▶ Color Palette:
Amsterdam: Lamp Black (Base)
Amsterdam Pearlescent: Pearl White, Pearl Yellow, Pearl Red, Pearl Blue, Pearl Violet, Pearl Green
▶ Hair dryer: Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting

I love it because it is an abstract wave. We don’t see a lot Pearl waves. It makes a statement.
Then there is the part of me that has spent my life on or under waves that wanted you to use white Pearl where it is crashing. Crystal clear water with white foam on white sand has really been my whole life. My house faces a beach and almost all of my homes have. If we haven’t been on one we could see it and I can get those waves with a camera. I live in the tropics so everyday is a beach day now we have retired. I could live with a Pearl wave on my wall and I just finished a painting using these paints. They are fun. Thank you.

I have to say I have watched several artists pour waves in many different ways and colors. This one is very special. Molly of Molly’s Artistry is one who has experimented with color, including a rainbow tie dye look. I have always enjoyed watching her create them. You took a very creative step in using pearlescent paints and not only is it beautiful, it is soft and flows very well !Congratulations 🎉

Gorgeous! Was thinking Prussian blue wou;d be a good base color as well, but i really love the black here. Makes it feel kinda moody. Love it!
Thank you - I also love Prussian Blue. You need very dark Color’s on the base for
The pearlescent paints to “work”. If you did Prussian blue I’d suggest mixing a very tiny bit of black in with it to make it more Opaque so The light can bounce off the base and through the paints 👍🏻
