I ordered a kit from Summit Racing and was told this is the kit number 6772LBFSK for a 65 F250 only to find it does not fit , i then wrote to summit only to be told there is no kit for a 65 but i can return it which is all very well but i live in Germany so who pays all the shipping cost and import dutys, the hole package was just over 500€ . i was then told to contact the manufacture CPP with my idea to modify the kit to fit also only to be told they are not sure and they dont make a kit for a 65 but in there website they show this kit for 62-72 F100 AND F250 so guess what i have started to modify the kit I HAVE NO FEAR i would loose more money bye sending it back , thank you guys for your support.
@@classictruckperformance290 MY Dad and i took a 1974 Chevrolet 2500 that had been wrecked in a rollover accident and put another good cab and front-end clip and put it on the frame from the roll-over the bed that we was gave to us was a fleet side shorted so the guy who gave us the cab, the front-end clip and short bed cut 14" inches out of the frame right behind the cab and shorten the back end of the frame right behind the back spring hangers/shackles. But he cut the frame at a 45° degrees behind the back of the cab and he welded it back up with no fishplate. And he used the pickup to go get a Cummins big Cam 400 diesel engine for his own truck and hauled in back to his shop and that short bed Chevy never squated down hardly at all! And i used the pickup to haul firewood and the pickup was a damnd good pickup for hauling stuff! And to this day it is still on the road in the town where my dad finally sold it to a good friend of ours! We had no jig or anything to go by. The guy that did the cutting and welding measured acouple of other Chevy 1500 short beds and went by those measurements and the frame was straight and perfect by the frame shop where we had it checked for be straight! We were really thankful to the guy who cut and welded the frame.
Why wouldn't you guys just cut the rear end and move the leaf springs up to right fit because this conversation will have problems later on from rust and water getting in the inserts
very good work
Is a C-notch with this kit already too risky? I feel like since every thing is off and you’re already welding I’d might as well do the c notch right?
great work looks so easy, thanks for sharing. I just wonder how to shorten the driveshaft or did you get a new one?
We didn't purchase the truck with a driveshaft so we will buy a new one. I would just shorten the stock if we had it.
I would have put a fish plate on outside of frame vs a straight weld
Will that kit work with 1979 ford

Will the frame shortening conversion work with a F-250 chassis?
Yes it will.
What do you guys do with the old long beds? I have a friend who's looking for one.
We have only done one truck for the article. The bed was sold.
Thanks for the quick response! 👍🏾
Drive shaft video??
Will that work on a 1979???
How much is it for you guys to do it?
The question is, how much did they get paid to promote the websites?
Will this work on a 4 wheel drive?
Yes it will.
Part # 6772LBFSK does not bring up any results in the search.?? Also, where did you get those 4 fill panels for the floor?
All the sheetmetal parts are from Golden Star Classic Auto Parts. I would call CPP frame kit since it is a new product

Yjh66 hi
Just need an aluminium tub like I make, light, means speed
Just leave the long beds alone
If you can't fit 8-foot sheets of plywood it ain't a real truck
You mean like most if not all new pickup trucks👎😒
Just leave shit alone
