I can see how Alice‘s behaviour is very invasive and disregarding to Bella‘s feelings. I didn’t like her at all while reading the books and I didn’t feel any genuine connection between her and Bella. However, I observed a certain trope that I often find in women writing women, and that is the overly chatty obsessed with the main character for literally no reason best friend. It reminds me of the manic pixie dream girl trope. That person who only exists to fulfil your dreams, but you can go on and pretend you didn’t really want all those nice shiny things. Like Bella pretends to not like gifts and parties and an expensive lifestyle, she can stay the humble, intellectual, morally superior, not like other girls personality but still get all those pretentious things and be the center of attention.
I also found it ridiculous how she was supposed to not care about eternal life as a beautiful, healthy, perfect, rich, all powerful being. You cannot tell me that there is any human on this planet who wouldn’t at least think about how nice that sounds, at least on paper.
omg you’re so right
Alice did all those things with good intentions too
for sure! i talk about this all the time, part of the purpose alice serves as a character is to give bella all the ‘like other girls’ things without having to want or ask for them!
Alice and Bela have nothing in common. Alice or Bela would have gotten along better with Jessica. I believe Alice and Laren would have found each other. Lauren was written only as a surface character, which is a shame. She definitely had depth in the story. There shouldn't have been so many unnecessary characters. I can imagine Lauren as a Lauren+Victoria+Bree character combo and Bela who suffers the consequences of the vampire James.
At the end of Breaking Dawn, Bella lifts her shield so 'Deadward' can read her mind. The older I get the more I think 'Girl, you might want to rethink doing that too much. He might start to find you as utterly boring as everyone else...'
I totally agree and as a huge twilight fan, I do remember him asking her to do that again. How did you do that asked if she could do it again and she blatantly said no can’t agree. More laugh out loud. Great comment.
By then she had already trapped him with her magical boom boom.
3:10 I really wonder WHAT happens to them after 😅
He was amazed I think because he saw himself through her and he is always just hearing thoughts of others and not getting a complete picture of his vampire self, so sorta like healing his self hate.
I’ve always thought that Edward and Alice have a special connection because of their gifts; he can read minds and she has visions of the future. It makes sense that Edward is the only one who can see what Alice sees.
You're definitely way smarter than the hater who makes these video.

@@shizukagozen777 i love this series but i like to see other peoples opinions. She is talking about nonfictional people so she isnt hurting anyone.
I definitely agree about them having a bond. I think they understand each other better because their experiences are similar due to their gifts. It's even said in Edward's pov that Alice is the only one that thought about talking to Edward in her mind since he would be able to hear it while no one else could. No one else in his family communicated with him in that way as they didn't think to.

Exactly
You better keep your paws off her brothææaaaaaaaaa
Lol Mufasa reference
Then why is she with the confederate soldier?
@YmustTh3w0rldG0r0und she loves Jasper and sees Edward as her brother.
I always felt like Jasper's relationship with Alice was a reflection of his own prior trauma with the first woman who turned him. He's depicted as liking to be a sub to a dominating, woman who's in control, much like the woman who turned him, who was giving very much the 'spicy Latina' trope. Given Alice's ability, there would never be anyone with more like, 'cosmic authority' than her, and Jasper just seems happy to serve her. He doesn't have his own backbone, as he is only able to be obedient to her will, not his own. I always thought that if Jasper was able to evolve past the need for that subservience, they may not have the ability to stay together.
My thoughts exactly.
Wow. Nicely put.
But as Stephanie so spectacularly decided, vampires do not have an ability to evolve. Isn't that awesome? No matter how many centuries you live, you will NEVER change or grow as a person.
Meyer is really a horror writer.
Yes! Theyre all stuck in the roles their dysfunctional family needs them to be. Not to mention, everyone of the cullens is trauma bonded. Esme "fell in love" with Carlisle when she was a CHILD and then he turned her when she was jumping from that cliff. Emmett was found half death by rosalie where he reminded her of her friends BABY and we do not need to talk about Bella and Edward being toxic as hell 😂 if they had true sense of their own agenda I wonder if thry would really be together.
The reason Meyer is obsessed with this concept of that one eternal partner who follows you into the afterlife is Mormonism.
I believe that concept is also why she made their kid immortal.
Can someone explain the concept she got from Jacob's baby imprinting then
And marriage and a baby right after highschool!
@@music0cool There are actually sooo many connections when you learn more about mormonism. It's really not subtle.

Now that you say it . . . Edward and Alice would be a handsome pair. If Edward wasn't trying so hard to be good or whatever, they would've given the Volturi a run for their money. 😂

I think jasper did have other reasons for being a vegetarian other than Alice. He was very depressed in the immediate years before she found him as he felt all the emotions of the people he killed. I’ve heard it said many times (though admittedly I’m not sure where) that after he left Maria he became depressed while hunting as he would feel their fear.
He probably wouldn't only because he wouldn't have known that was a possibility. There are only two covens of vampires that we know of that drink animal blood, to all other vampires it seems to never cross their mind to even try. It also takes a lot of training and restraint to do, something Jasper still struggles with even with an entire family to help him. So without Alice and his family, no I don't thin he would be a vegetarian simply because he couldn't
@@kittyunderwood8918 yes I agree with this. I think that’s part of the reason he loves her. He was drawn in by her radiating happiness at what was to come - he hadn’t felt that in such a long time. And she then introduced him to not having to kill people and feel their fear all the time. He wouldn’t have thought of it himself but he prefers the vegetarian life due to this, despite his struggles and cravings.
"ewww flowers in the attic" CAUSE THEY'RE NOT ALL ALREADY DATING THEIR ADOPTIVE SIBLINGS
We can flowers in the attic but it doesn’t track anyway bc Corinne & Christopher Sr. Were biological brother and sister and Kathy and Chris Jr were also biological brother and sister so DOUBLE INCEST.
Like Jessica says I know but it's weird they like live together but they're together together 😂
**married
But the step-sibling construct is a made up one to allow them to stay in one place longer. Technically, they were all already together before they decided to pass as step-siblings. I think it's even stated in one of the books that they sometimes take on different roles - Edward passed as Esme’s brother for a time.
@@musicdaydreams2506 yes, I know. But the video is mentioning Edward and Alice dating like it's a bad thing because they're "siblings" when technically, she's as much Edward's sister than she is Jasper's
I don't think Alice could possibly be in love with Edward because he would KNOW - and if he knew, he would at best distance himself from her and at worst treat her with the same disdain he treats Rosalie. I think Alice and Edward really are best friends/close siblings
👏👏👏👏
Edward and Rosalie get along fine, they build cars together. He just didn't want to date her
@@kittyunderwood8918 yes but he did initially dislike Rosalie, he hated that he felt like he had no choice, he was a moody teenager offended his dad was trying to set him up, & Rosalie was offended that he didn't like her, want her, find her irresistable

Yes. Exactly. Me too.
Ive never heard of the Alice Edward Ship, but explained as you did i could totally see people shipping these two
Wanna hear of an even crazier ship? Alice and Bella, I'm not kidding people do ship those two, they are like the "Alice is Bella's best friend" wagon but on steroids all like "Alice was Bella's true soulmate" xD
@@VictoriaTraduccioneslowkey my fav ship haha
@@VictoriaTraducciones tbh reading the Twilight books I've always sensed some romantic tension between Bella and Alice. Bella was always shy around Alice especially at first and thought of her as super pretty. Also not to mention the literal fact that Alice kisses Bella's cheek when she first visits the Cullen's home.
@@VictoriaTraducciones *looks at amanda the jedi*
That would be an interesting horror twist to the storyline. Like, Bella goes through all that crap to be with Edward, listens to almost everything that Alice says, thinks Alice is her friend... and then finds out that Alice is in love with Edward. Now Bella is cursed to an eternal existence with this cult-y tiny family unit of users. Ooh.
Almost like Crimson Peak!
Alice bragged about using her visions to manipulate Bella into liking Edward, basically. In the original timeline she married Mike, right? And Alice didn't care.
@@seabreeze4559I never understood Alice as bellas best friend. She was somewhat nice to her sure but it seemed more like Bella WANTED her to be her best friend when probably Angela or even leah clearwater were better options than the girl who left her on read for six months after a terrible break up^^
@@seabreeze4559 wow, l have never heard about original timeline
I’d read it!
Alice and Jasper's practice fight scene in Eclipse was cute, but yeah other than that we don't get a lot of relationship-y scenes with them lol
I think Meyer was going to write a book of Alice and Jasper. Alice knew she would date Jasper before she met him and already loved him before she did. Alice lives her present from the the future so that’s why she said she was Bella’s bff before she even met Bella.
Given that jasper could feel what she's feeling and would know if she was in love with him I definitely doubt it
Plus Edward can read her mind and see her visions and read jasper's mind too. It wouldn't even allow for Alice to have those feelings for him and go unnoticed. Jasper and Edward would know
I think Alice does want to be with Edward but also knows she would have to give up her autonomy to do so, which is why she would never pursue it. She likes being crazy and unpredictable, so she needed a doormat that thinks she hung the stars herself. Alice also knows that Edward wants to be the dominant person in any romantic relationship of his and wants his pure, fragile hothouse flower. Alice doesn't want to give away her dominance for the sake of being with Edward and also knows Edward won't become submissive to her, so she uses Bella as her personal barbie doll she can dress up and then "present" to Edward. That way she gets all the credit for giving him this relationship and therefore always has one over on him and ALSO has her little southern doormat to worship her.
she's a master manipulator and brags about using her powers to do it
Wow. This makes so much sense 😮
Despite what was written, Alice rarely gave me best friend vibes with Bella. Especially during the pregnancy, which I always felt would have left a lasting black mark on her friendship with Bella.
Alice always felt to me like the "friendly" version of Jessica. Like she's your friend and invested in your drama but she also kinda looks down on you and rarely takes your feelings into consideration and instead tells you that she just knows what you actually want but also gets pissed when you don't do exactly what she wants you to do.
I know that Alice as a character is basically just there for Bella's internal wish fufillment so that Bella doesn't have to actually act shallow or vapid but if she were a real person she would be pretty offputting as a friend to Bella.
If we go based off what we learn of Alice in Midnight Sun, it's also really offputting how almost aggressively possessive Alice is of Bella. She almost as bad as Edward. The only reason she doesn't crawl into Bella's window every night is because Edward tells her not to. She cares for his feelings but rarely gives Bella the same consideration. In Alice's mind, Bella is hers just as much as Bella is his. It's this obsessive possessiveness that makes Bella keep Alice at a distance, only connecting with her as a means of connecting with Edward. Pretty sure Vampire Bella will be better friends with Rose than she will be with Alice.
so she's a gaslighter yes I agree but she brags about using her powers to change things for edward and nobody is freaking out over that? it's just ESTABLISHED?
Hahaha, I like the way you refer to Jasper and Edward as Yehaa and Deadward 😂
Poor Jasper. 😭
Honestly I never saw them as a pair but more as thr annoying younger sibling and older brother trope. But I could def see how it could be read in the context of Alice liking Edward , though it does say a lot of Stephanie Meyers
I genuinely think Alice has low key narc disorder as well as prescience. Like her saying: 'You are going to like it!' Even though Bella didn't want XYZ. I think this behaviour was because of her earlier mortal life with abuse at the hands of her mortal family and mental institution.
It’s cause she already knows the future so she would know if Bella ends up liking it or not. If she steered Bella in a way that she didn’t like in the end then the criticism would be valid, but in the end Bella does like the decisions Alice goes through so it’s not bad, since Alice already sees that Bella WOULD end up liking it. Most of Alice’s criticisms is just down to the precognition powers she has.
Thank you for saying it. I was like..... duh? If i buy a gift/do a thing for you and have a FUTURE VISION of your happy reaction to said thing pop in my head.... How is it narcissistic to say, Don't worry, you WILL like it."
Because i literallyjust had a vision showing me you would. Lmfao.
So again, thank you for pointing that out
.@@alwayzatiger1
Gotta remember Alice is better thought of as an alien than a human. She has no context of how to act like a friend or anything other than whats been seen on screen and in books. She is acting out the roles she sees herself in and using the media she consumed as context.
If Edward and Alice were together I feel they would be the emo disco ball equivalent of the joker and Harley dynamic.
In all of Twilight, Jasper only has 2 minutes of lines in the books, he also has no lines about the relationship, only as a slave to Bella or Alice. I won't mention the plagiarized couple, as Meyer doesn't want to define the characters' relationships, the stupid reasons for their creation and openly disliked the Rose-Emmet couple, thanks to which they are the healthiest couple. Emmet is the only one who doesn't suffer from the misogynistic behavior that Meyer put into every male character. Jasper's character is not developed at all, we don't know his inner conflict, only the woman who manipulated him, nor the development of his character and growth in the books, his life story without conf. Armady made the same sense. I miss their relationship more with Alice and Jasper, with Rose and Emmet, the path to removing the trauma, the trust and intimacy that they went through definitely have something to say. Meyer wrote relationships lazily, I understand, it requires psychological skills, but does anyone really believe in instant love? Edward as a sociopathic personality aware of internal conflict undergoing growth therapy because he knows he wants love and doesn't have to create a fictional love interest that doesn't exist. He was more likeable than that dusty figure Large with the Addams Family. The character's lack of relationship processing creates a mess where fans pair Bella with Alice or Alice and Edward. We have to tell the truth, Edward doesn't even love himself and Bella, he has the most suicidal tendencies. He reminds me of Joe from the series YOU.
I think she didn’t explicitly get into it cause it was said that she was going to make a book with Alice and Jasper before they met the Cullen
My kneejerk reaction was so grossed out, as if they aren’t all literally dating their “siblings” already 😭🤢
None of them are siblings, they just pretend because of the humans. 🙄🤦♀️

You called Jasper “yee-haw” and I FELL OUT 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think that they are closer because their powers are alike.
Wow Patriarchy hits hard in some of the comments.
I think Jasper is not well developed in the books but there is nothing wrong wirh not being the domineering typ of guy. Jasper is "the fighter" way more than Emmet is and people think him a doormat just because he likes to be more in the background, not being so loud and flashy.
We as a society have a long way to go.
When I was a preteen reading the books, I assumed Alice did have feelings for Edward.....
I think Jasper also is reliant on and needs Alice to keep being his mentor and guard since hes the youngest and still really struggles with controlling his bloodlust. I think he also sticks with the Cullens because, being a soldier in his human life, I think he is naturally submissive and needs someone to give him orders and structure, a way of (after)life.
I dont think Jasper is the youngest there. He's the second oldest vampire after Carlisle because he was turned during the American Civil War, and Edward, Esme, Rosalie, Emmitt and Alice were all turned in like 1920s or so, if I remember correctly. I can't remember who was the youngest in human years, but again I think Jasper was like the oldest of the kids, at least early twenties while all the others are late teens.
@@AugustusDrax No I think Jasper was a teen too, he joined the confederacy younger than was typically allowed, but as a human he was often able to charm others to get his way and that translates into his vampire power of being able to manipulate people's emotions. Carlisle himself is only like, 22 when he was turned (in the books). Jasper I think is the second oldest vampire. I have seen people mistake him for being the youngest vampire before tho. I think it's because he's the newest vegetarian, and people get that confused with newest turned
@@kittyunderwood8918 lol, I wasn't really sure on his age but I thought he was at least 20 something. I forgot how young Carlisle was, how the heck does he get away with having so many teens, adoption stories aside.
@@AugustusDrax I think the town thinks Carlisle is older than that and just gets plastic surgery done a lot or something lol. Jasper and Rosalie are the same physical age tho, cause they do tell people they are twins, and just looked it up and they are physically 19, so you are close. In the books actually, he isn't at school anymore in Eclipse when Edward, Alice and Bella are in their senior year, he Rosalie and Emmet had all graduated already. In the movie he is still there tho. Emmett is actually the oldest of the kids, as he is 20. And Esme is 26 I believe
I don't think he is naturally submissive or he wouldn't be able to charm others to do as he wishes.
I think he is more a non flashy, quiet, brooding type and people confuse that with being weak or without a back bone.
The Cullens are pretty much all indifferent to humans so if you don't care but your Partner does, why not go with their wishes?
I just remembered in the first Breaking Dawn film, during their honeymoon Bella opened her suitcase to discover Alice had picked Bella's sexy lingerie for her to wear on her honeymoon with Edward.
"eww, flowers in the attic"
😶 I still have flashbacks of watching that movie!🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
If you think Alice is in love with Edward or vice versa you just lack comprehension, tbh. Alice and Edward bonded because of their gifts. They understand each other in a way the others can't. He can read her thoughts and Jasper can sense her emotions, so they'd know if she were in love with him. It’s stated multiple times that Jasper and Bella are their true mates. I really don't get these theories. I do agree that while the Cullens accept and love Bella, she will never be completely a part of that family. If, for some reason, Edward didn't want to be with her, they would choose him.
Alice sounds like she lets her visions control her life rather than seeing the future as it would be without interference.
I always thought they were closest cuz of their gifts like somewhat being easier to deal with around each other. Alice has someone else who experience what she sees and edward has someone who can know more than he does. Kinda like a feedback loop between them and less pressure of being that special.
I do love your videos about twilight... It's one of my favourites...
thank you so much!!! 💕

Can you make these videos about the Harry Potter series? There's sooo much to cover!
I highly believe that Alice saw a future where she falls for Edward but Edward becomes attached to Bella and all the live issues that followed. I’m sure she saw jasper as the brother who was there for her the entire ordeal so she eventually settles for him.. but always attached to the love she had with Edward in her visions and what could have been

I would love to see a Twilight rewrite series from you since you always have such thoughtful things to say about these books 😅
I agree that Alice always comes first with Jasper and I think that's why Alice's with him. She needs Jasper to fawn over her, something Edward never does. Everything else, it's all about herself and Edward.
She loves him as a brother
I think they could gatekeep gaslight girlboss if they were mates tbh
Idk I always assumed Alice has a crush on Bella due to a few lines made in the books especially the new “from Edward’s point of view” book 🤣🤣 I am absolutely one of the people where I see the vibes
I think it's just about how Bella loves to think she's envied by any and all girls, because she's different and special, it's all from Bella's perspective and Stephanie wrote her character to think everyone wants her man. Even if you're talking about Midnight Sun, Stephanie inserts herself into the books and she is Bella, it's her fantasy.
It’s cause their powers that they are close since they’re the only ones with powers that invade into peoples minds. They are the closest siblings but Alice in Edward POV books was instrumental in keeping Bells alive and always gave Edward warning so he didn’t do anything that would harm Bella.
I think it would have been way better if bella had a sheild that repelled all vampire abilities, etc. So edward couldn't read her mind and shed be the only one jasper wouldnt want to eat. Like he couldnt smell her blood at all. And then it could have been a love triangle with the brothers and jacob could have just a childhood friend no love interest. The first book could have been the brothers befriending bella and keeping her safe from james and then book two she actually chooses one and edward tries to unalive himself because bella chose jackson. But alice, jasper, and bella save him. Then the last two books can play out the same.
Currently rereading the books, and I think the main issue is that there's just no dialogue written between Bella and anyone outside of Edward, Jacob, and Charlie. Any major interaction they have is skimmed over. Like I'm reading Eclipse and Alice just kidnapped Bella for the sleepover and I'm sure they talked during it but literally the only thing that was said about it was that Esme brought Italian and Alice painted her toenails. It's all just glossed over. Even in Bella's interactions with her mom it's glossed over.
So SM probably meant for there to be a deeper connection, but just... didn't write it?
Which, as an author myself, I both get and also try to avoid lol
Can you explain how Edward is toxic as a vampire & was he like that before he turned? I've never read the books but I always thought Edward was weird.
He grew up as an only child in a wealthy family in Chicago, similar to Rosalie in New York. She had two little brothers whom she loved, a poor friend Vera married to a man who would be socially similar to Emmet from 1933. Edward had a mother Elizabeth who he was unhappily fixated on because his father worked a lot and was not often home. Edward had a quality education, especially in the field of music. When his father died first, he left him a fortune and therefore he never suffered from lack. At the request of his mother Elizabeth, he changed Edward to Carlice when he could not save him otherwise. The most disgusting line from Edward in my opinion was - Carlice people die every day why did you save her? To the crippled Rosalie after the gang rape when Carlice turned her into a vampire. Yes, Edward also died from the stupid Spanish flu, and yet he saved you. Seeing Edward's character clearly reads Rosalie's mind but he doesn't have empathy, which is a gift that Jasper has. Edward condemned Rosalie before she even said anything, he only knew her from the parties where he went with Carlice, basically his gift of reading is not helpful to him at all because every woman is a problem for him. Edward's happy ending is quality therapy.
@@zuzanagarelova8113 I think you misunderstood Edward in the Rosalie scene. Rosalie was a KNOWN person in the community. His question was why did he turn someone who was a local celebrity and engaged to a local rich prick who was gonna make a scene looking for her (yes Edward knew what happened) but he is worried about their exposure since they would have to suddenly fucking leave because they have a newborn, and a newborn who is very well known. Honestly it was very Rose-Like of him to have that concern given that exposure was why she wanted to kill Bella when there got exposed there.
Edward is kinda written as suffering from a lot of mental issues. He has anxiety, he had a superiority complex about being a vampire and an inferiority complex about that superiority complex. He knows humans are far below vampires and focuses on that they can feel so much more intensely and so on but he also hates being a vampire and sees himself as an inhuman monster. He is a real mess. Relationship wise because he never socialized in his human life he is woefully uninformed on how to be a boyfriend so he acts the way he saw portrayed in plays, movies, books, etc which is why he comes off as a toxic controlling jerk most of the time.
@@zuzanagarelova8113 If Edward could not read Jessica's mind would he have been attracted to her? the only reason he liked Bella was because she was mystery
I'm extremely concerned about how little is said about Jasper and Alice's relationship in the book and how we're supposed to believe it.
If Alice was ill intentioned Edward would be repulsed by her. He does hear her thoughts and even pick up on her visions in close proximity I believe. I think she focuses on him because the Cullens each have their person and he is alone. She does love Edward the most and Bella by extention. Bella might be begruding but Rosalie is obstinate and prickly. She sees Bella as a cure for her brothers unending loneliness. She's hot for Jasper they always take off together. They're glued to one another and stoic Jasper loves it. Remember the kind of women Jasper is used to then Remember that Alice is a pink soft bubble of love in comparison.
I never saw them as romantic just feel like they're literally beyond close.. he reads minds she sees the future. I never bothered with reading the full midnight sun novel but in the leaked version they often had silent conversations about the family and jasper and his struggle. I feel like Alice loved jasper and that's obvious but her thing with Bella is because of Edward. Would she miss her if Bella died? Nope. She'd be sad Edward doesn't have anyone.
Alice like Jasper are used to being a sibling. They both had sisters they lost. For Alice, Edward replaced that sibling spot. For jazz, it was oddly enough Rosalie.
I never saw Alice and Edward as romantic. I just saw them as the one person in each other's lives who knew exactly how hard it was..
I never considered Alice to be “in love” with Edward….buuut I die on the hill that the Cullens are swingers
I think mr. Confederate vampire seemed more alive when he was talking about his time with the Mexican coven n doing all the training and war plans. N it seemed like him being a person ended once he was sucked into the C cult. Alice seemed agitated about Maria like a jealous cult leader instead of what she claimed as “ worrying about J going back to the previous life”.
I’ll say it, Jasper deserved better! 🤷🏻♀️
Why were Alice and Jasper forced by Carlisle to get married?
First time hearing about it too. What? I thought they (Alice and Jasper) also remarry few times maybe just not as much as Rosalie and Emmett.
probably purity culture enforced by Carlisle
Screenrant says that Carlisle worried what the humans around them would think, and that's why Alice and Jasper got married. Not sure of any other context.
Mormonism.
I actually think Edward was nice and just so misunderstood and broken inside and he was the choice which came with a price and Jacob is portrayed nice cause he was the easier choice.
Being misunderstood and broken doesn't give him the licence to be the creep he was throughout the books and the movies. Whatever he was, vampire or a human, the least he could do is to respect Bella's boundaries
I know Edward is toxic and whatever but I cannot stand Jacob, the only times he was likable was when was Bella's human friend, the whole werewolf thing turned him into an asshole
They all are tortured. Alice was institutionalized and treated terribly during her time. I like to think that she’s incredibly, perhaps overly fiercely protective of her family. Especially if she was so abandoned and mistreated by her own. She is likely extremely intelligent as she had to be to survive what she went through, and I bet she’s psychologically gifted. Her overly preppy personality seems to be a bit of a survival/fawn response and a coping mechanism to deal with the heaviness of her gifts. She seems adhd or mildly autistic to me but even without any sort of label, she seems like the type who thinks differently and never quite belonged, which could make her value the family even more.
I view her as a highly analytical person who doesn’t quite relate to others normally. She probably does love Bella but as a pet. It probably took Bella becoming a part of the family and a vampire for her to relate to her more normally.
Her interest in Bella is more like the interest a young girl might have in a bunny or a new puppy. She continuously treats Bella this way. I don’t think she actually wants to be Bella in any capacity as she looks down on her and plays around with her too much. I’d assume that in Alice’s own mind, she doesn’t see her treatment towards Bella as bad, and she believe that she truly loves her, even if it’s in the way a lion might love a specific deer.
It’s also worth noting that women in this story often don’t relate to each other as normal people, which is kind of a flaw in Stephanie’s writing. But Alice makes sense to an extent. All the vampires don’t really respect Bella fully. I think Alice was not being fake towards her though, or from her perspective intentionally indoctrinating her. She saw her as a cute pet for Edward and later a potential genuine sister, if she turns.
I think she, like Edward, enjoys being in the position of savior. So she would want a man that is slightly submissive to her, in the same way that Edward wants a woman who is slightly submissive to him. I think she enjoys thee power over introducing Bella to their world. I could imagine that when Alice and Edward first met she might have possibly felt a baseline attraction- but that isn’t enough to sustain a relationship and quickly snuffs out over time. They both would have had contrasting personalities as a couple, with Alice despising the experience of being controlled due to her trauma.
But yeah all of this said she absolutely does look out for Edward more than Bella. I could see that changing as Bella remains a vampire for longer and “earns” her own role in the family. And Alice and Edward are too similar to get along as a couple, both desiring the savior role, and both having powers that lead to being chronically overwhelmed and needing someone stabilizing for them.
@@VictoriaTraducciones Don't judge the character, but MEYER
The nicknames though!! Hahahha. Deadward and Krusty and Yeehaw. Omg yes. What's Alice's nickname?
Oddly enough, I’ve always found Bella x Jasper to fit better than Bella x Edward. And I don’t mind Edward x Alice either.
0:32 But why ship them when they could ship me and Alice 😂
Yeeeeeeee Haaaaaaa I LOVE IT 🥰 😂😂😂😂😂🥰
I think the Twilight discourse is what happens when the readers are smarter than the author.
Twilight was icky on every level except for Lee Pace.
Bellas best friend? Yeah, thats Jacob
This now has me trying to imagine what it would be like if Eddy boy and Alice had been together and if Bella fell for Jasper 😂
HA...I read a really good fanfiction on that...
Eerily i feel like bella and alice in the films looks a bit a like, kinda like other dimensional versions of each other. Like he almost didnt realize it but he was looking at bella and there was an underlying attraction to alice?
It’s kind of sad how opposite genders can’t be close or have an understanding like these two without being accused of it being romance. I think they respected each other highly and valued each other without romantics.
im here for the aliice x Bella tho 😭
Also I would like to add the Books are completely different from the movies… in the books the Cullen have that siblings feel…. The movie not so much
She was in love with Bella
Well I always thought Alice and Bella should have been endgame
Idk why I thought she wanted bella
Alice and Aro cut from the same cloth
Your little confederate 😂😂😂😂😂
She secretly loves Bella romantically
I thought she was for him initially? Ik the Cullens only changed people when “necessary” but I swear somewhere it mentioned that they were intended to be a couple but they found jasper.
no, that was edward & rosalie actually! Carlisle turned rosalie and hoped she might be a mate for Edward
@ thank you!! I knew it was someone
My personal thought is theyre all actually in a polyamorous relationship but stephanie is a COWARD
Since its a mormon propaganda film. I think they are all a little in love with eachother.
Yee-haw 😂
So what is this thing with all vampires hairstyles 😅
Alice loves Jasper, Edward is her favorite brother. Also i don't really like how you are always so excited to badmouth Alice, none of them are perfect but you single out Alice.
Irregardless of Alice flaws, she's the nicest Cullen, i keep thinking of everytime Jasper was scared he'll lose control & she gently encouraged him. Her gentleness is what i like about her.
none of the cullens are ‘good’ but the racist, scheming confederate wife is not most definitely not the ‘nicest’ because she ‘comforts’ her confederate like what 😭
@corinnieeeee the wolves and vampire are natural enemies so obviously they won't like each other, Roselia was also rude to Jacob, did you forget that? Alice disliked Jacob cause he was a wolf but later warmed up to him. Alice likes to plan things, Bella doesn't like to do things so naturally Alice became the one corcering her to do things.
Also I didn't say the Cullen's are GOOD , I said Alice is the nicest despite her flaws cause even when her actions are wrong her intentions wasn't malicious.
@@corinnieeeee Honestly , your takes on Twilight are really interesting ! You said things that I never heard before from people who critized the saga again and again .

@@corinnieeeee Totally agree. They all suck. None of them are perfect. Alice's married to a confederate soldier and doesn't care. That alone makes her morally abhorrent and disqualifies her from being "the nicest one". Hell, I would argue that Rosalie and Emmett are the nicest ones. Rosalie was nothing but honest towards Bella about what turning into a vampire and marrying Edward for mean. Bella was just too deep under Edward's spell that it didn't matter in the end. Everyone else encouraged her to do that, despite knowing how stupid and deadly that would be. Emmett hasn't done anything super wrong other than attacking two "singers" along with the same BS as everyone else. (I never read these books in years, so I might be wrong.)
I loooove twilight but we cannot deny the flaws the franchise has. Alice is my fave and accept her deepest flaws
Wait. Carilise made them get married?
Oh please. Don’t taint her image. She’s a loving person because she is emotionally healthy. All of you are so used to toxic people that cannot recognize a genuine loving person when you see it.
Meyer hurt Alice the most with lazy writing, but that's with all the characters. She killed Jacob with a completely new personality in Eclipse, Rosalie didn't even put emotions into the tragic story and Breaking Dawn, who shouldn't have been with Rasputin, has no reason to have a vampire child, Jacob's POV on Rosalie is literally interdimensional misogyny, the unfortunate way every woman in the story is not exempt from being cooked by a hateful man. If he threw a bowl at my head once, I would kill him, not to mention cook him a steak. The stupidly written character of Esme as a family doormat can also be responsible for that. The whole BD 1 2 is a tragedy of writing illogicality, breaking the rules, Alice in the whole of Twilight is not well written visions without holes. Basically, I love Emmet, Rosalie, Leah, Seth, Jessica, Mike, Charie, Jasper, Tanya, Alice, Carlice in this order, least since Eclipse Jacob, Edward, Esme and Bella the least. Esme is supposed to be a mother, but as it is written, she has no support for her raped daughter, since she herself came into the relationship through suicide.
Woah. Move onnnnnnnn...
❤
You keep saying “jasper the confederate” is so funny to me like bestie do you hate jasper?
I don't think so. Hopefully it's not the case.
It not, people just like to ship anything. Alice loves Jasper and Edward is her favorite brother
@@florencembah2626 People like to discuss media because it's interesting to think about.
From the videos I seen so far it looks like you just hate vampires engeneral
