Definitely remember yelling at Jacob for forcing a kiss on her and constantly trying to tell her what she wants that was way more manipulative to me. But I get what you’re saying him immobilizing the car was a lot and the whole thing with the baby was cringe. But didn’t he always push for her to not turn??? THANK YOU. Conrad always pulls Belly back in every time she’s about to move on from him, but then treats her like garbage and when she’s about to move on again, he does the same thing all over again! Conrad is manipulative and NOT a good love interest. And the people who say he’s such a good brother to Jeremiah like ummm no he’s not. He hooked up with Belly when he knew Jeremiah was with her (in the show, this doesn’t happen in the books) and he openly pursued a relationship with her regardless of Jeremiah’s feelings, tries to reel Belly back in and tells her has feelings for her when she is about to be married TO HIS BROTHER, and the whole time she’s engaged to Jeremiah he still views her as “his girl”, when on the other hand, Jeremiah told Conrad that he would give Belly up if Belly still wanted Conrad and Jeremiah tells Conrad he can’t treat Belly that way and when Conrad gets hurt about it because Jeremiah called him out for being so trashy to Belly, Conrad fans say “Look! Jeremiah’s so mean and manipulative and such a bad brother 😒” when Conrad has literally been pursuing his girl when they are ENGAGED and disregarding Jeremiah in this whole situation because he just HAS to have Belly.

It's a shame the movies never really touched upon the backstories of some of the Cullens, namely Emmet, Alice, and Esme. I really wanted to know their stories too before they turned into vampires. Maybe the books cover it and I should actually start reading them.

Alice pays a lot of attention to Bella, but they have nothing in common. She has crazy visions about the relationships of others, but we do not see work on her relationship, which is one of the most demanding with their abilities. He sees and does not see is a very irresponsible approach to the lives we enter, he does not have to take responsibility. It's lazy writing Meyer where he forgets that risking lives and manipulating people's decisions is not cute. Alice is not a perfect character.

Edward was only being paranoid and over protective about things because Bella is such a danger magnet and he didn't want her to get physically injured, which is something that could happen with Jacob. Later in the eclipse book Bella gives Edward a piece of her mind about that.

I will say in the defense of Esme she wasn't born in modern times like Bella so the modern sensibilities that Bella grew up with weren't a thing for Esme. Esme was born and raised in a time where it was a women's job to be dutiful. Regardless of being free spirted. I think this is why she couldn't be a dutiiful wife to her first husband was because she didn't love him. That is why this behaviour is less shocking for Esme and comes across more stifling when seen in Bella. As well we have to keep in mind there wasn't a dating process back then. It was more of Hi, so you're going to be my future husband. Nice to meet you. Next week there married and being enamored or liking your partner was starting a marriage on the right foot. Esme got that with Carlisle and not with her first husband. So in short everything was much easier with Carlisle even becoming a Vampire. As well Esme's Vampire ability is supposed to be her inhanced caring motherly nature. I do think this is lacking in the books. Where as we see more of this portrayed by the actress, I like that we get a look of shock and horror when Carlisle is killed in the vision in breaking dawn or how she is visibly taken back when Leah scarfices herself in the battle for Esme. That is the true mark of good actor in my opinion someone who can not only read the lines but embody the character. It's not the actress's fault all of Stephanie Myers female characters all share the same glaring problem. They are shells of what well written female characters would be like. As they are written by an author who is a part of patriarchy forward clut where women are second class citizens and that is deeply ingrained in all of them. Like the famous words say Keep Sweet and Obey. So all the female characters are version of this perfect wife stero type to there more fleshed out male counterparts who are aloud to struggle and be "human" but the women are not.

But I think Alice and Bella became best friends at the end of Twilight because Alice helped Bella with everything (shower, getting dressed, etc.) during the time Bella was incapacitated due to the accident so they spent a lot of time together.

😂😂 it’s one of the reasons why Robert Pattison hates twilight with a passion. The author was so obsessed with him. He also did not like the twilight fans. He will never talk about it ever from what I remember it he said twilight gave him opportunities, but also ruined his life fans were terrible and the only reason he interacted him is because he said when he was having bad days he would just take a random fan that was outside his hotel room have dinner with her and then leave her there.

I will always love the Twilight saga story no matter what anyone says bad about it. I've read all the books and loved them, the first time I read New Moon I literally cried when Edward left Bella, and then she tried to get back the special connection she had with him. It was a connection she never had with Jacob. admit the whole imprinting thing is weird, but I guess that was the only way the author could think of to keep Jacob in the story, I could've done without him at the end of the story but oh well, that made it very entertaining to read and watch.
