Thanks. I do watch your videos I’m looking to upgrade my filter but I’m waiting for this virus thing to settle down a bit more before I hit Lowe’s for a few things I need.
Excellent video, I was looking hi and low for this video. I love you framing plan. I will make minor adjustment. Put this is by far a great raised KOI pond plan. Thanks for sharing.
I am really curious how this held up over the years. The supports dont seem strong enough to prevent bowing over time. I would expect twice the vertical bracing at least with all the outward water pressure.
I have done the same but a bit smaller and alot of people said it would not hold the water ? Now I'm nervous of filling mine up now how is yours doing has it lasted? Regards mark
Hello Sir, at 9:54 it indicates "I added extra supports not filmed". 1st question: What are the extra supports? 2nd question: your pond size is 5x8x3. Do you think 5x10x3 is still holding up? Thanks. You did a great job! Sir.
@@villainmediaproductions5237 it is!!!! I have it all together now I need a liner and I’m about done with it. I was shocked at how much wood went up. It’s so cool. Thank you for your video. How is yours doing? Still dandy?
I used 2x4 and I think 3 to 4 sheets of plywood. I used 1 and 1/2 sheets just for the floor cause it’s 5x8. The res was for the walls. Thanks for watching
Looking good and solid build. I did mine with 4x4s more expensive material

Thanks for watching. I wanted a window also I just don’t have those skills lol

Great video what size sheets of plywood thickness. did you use and how's its holding so far . Plz
Desperado Sanchez 3/4 in for the sides 1/2 for the bottom. No bowing. It’s holding up great. Thanks for watching
can you plaster with cement for waterproofing instead of using the liner? And will it work?
I have done the same but a bit smaller and alot of people said it would not hold the water ? Now I'm nervous of filling mine up now how is yours doing has it lasted?

It’s been about a year I haven’t had any issues. I have about 8 to 900 gallons in it
I’m making changes again to the filter. I’m putting a video together now. Thanks for watching

2nd question: your pond size is 5x8x3. Do you think 5x10x3 is still holding up?
Thanks. You did a great job! Sir.
The extra support I added an extra 2x4 on the short ends. 5x10x3 will be fine with a few more 2x4 s.
what is the size of the liner? and 45 mil? or 60?
Does your koi pond bow out when filled with water? Mine bow out so now I have to put a pole in on the side to hold it in place.
Not at all. Thanks for watching
Not sure 4x2 will be strong enough tbh think it will bow
It never bowed. 💪🏻
the wood wont crack if u predrill
Very true that was the only one that did
@@villainmediaproductions5237 sir what are the sizes of the woods did u used?
@@villainmediaproductions5237 the only one that cracked? or the only end you didn't pre drill lol 😂

And wood cost a lot more now than last year lol
Still going strong. Other than me changing up my filters
Would this be good for any largemouth bass
Oh definitely
What is the distance between the supports
It’s around 2ft
whats the length of screw and name of type of screw
I used 2 1/2 in outdoor wood screws for the frame then 1 1/2 in to attach the 3/4 inch plywood. Thanks for watching
what thickness ply wood did you use please?
3/4 inch plywood. Thanks for watching
your work is awesome sir! How do you cut the wood so straight? i cant even cut a simple piece :)
The plywood was cut at Home Depot. The 2x4icut with a saw. Thanks for watching
What size pond liner did you use
I believe it was 18x12. I think the cut it a bit larger than that. I had to cut off a bunch.
How is it holding up, no bowing or cracks ?
Not so far. I didn’t put the plants in yet.
No bowing on the plywood tank itself.
How’s this holding up?
No issues at all. No bowing or leaks. Thanks for watching
Not a single pilot hole 😂 just send it.
What is the total cost excluding filter
It was around 800.00 us

About to start a similar build. How’d you determine how strong to make it?
How many gallons is this pond?
Between 8and 900 gallons
Depends on how much water I put in it
