- Emily Bear (20) and Abigail Barlow (23) appearing on the Today Show following their history making Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album for composing The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical as youngest ever in their category and only all woman team. The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical was an idea started by Abigail Barlow who posted a video on Tik Tok. After it went viral she called her writing partner Emily and said "What if Bridgerton was a musical?" The pair started writing the project immediately and composed 15 songs in 6 weeks, live on social media in real time, revolutionizing the way musicals are created. The Album was produced and orchestrated by Emily Bear, featuring Abigail on lead vocals and Emily on piano and supporting vocals.

Others can write music. Others can play. But no one plays and writes like Emily Bear. Her playing is just.. I guess enchanting to me. The music is plenty good enough to just listen to but watching her play it adds a lot. I too have been following Emily since she was a child. Fantastic!
I get so excited (and sometimes teary) when I watched this. I only cared about the Grammy's this because I wanted you two to win. You would have thought I was family with the way I cheered when you won!! Me and my friends and family were thrilled or you. You two deserve every accolades.
Netflix better give them the rights to put this on stage or I will simply DIE!
I squealed like a freaking child watching this, I sang along with Abigail, shouted "YES, YOU BETTER SHOW OFF EMILY," and then I squealed some more. We literally watched y'all create this album on TikTok and then you guys won a freaking Grammy!! I am SO happy for y'all, we all are!!
No one needs a record label to get their music recognized and respected! You both proved that! BRAVA!!!

I've followed Emily Bear since a tiny child, like many. She's a musical phenomena. Mozart in this generation. I'm so thrilled for Emily finding such an amazing musical partner so the world can see her brilliant talent and together they can both shine!!

Barlow's voice is on another level and Emily's talent is beyond heaven.
I'm so happy for Emily's success. Having seen her master classical and jazz, study composition, orchestration and film scoring, it's terrific to see all her years of hard work paying off in such a spectacular way.
I can’t wait until they’re able to fully disclose what their upcoming projects are! We know they’re working on a Broadway show and two movies (one for Marc Platt and one for Margot Robbie) but I’m dying to know what those projects are!

I have watched Emily Bear all the way up from childhood. Every year something new, something beautiful. She has a massive memory. I've watched her play a George Gershwin concert with a full orchestra for 15 minutes straight on a piano "with no sheet music in front of her". By the time she was nine she had paired up with Quincy Jones, who also studied at Berklee School of music in Boston. On top of everything else she has a very special mom and dad, and grandmother! A Grammy Award at age 20! I rest my case.
So, it was TikTok that made Emily famous. I'm pretty sure the world knew of her long before that.
I am constantly blown away by Emily's ability to turn a story into music. Her talent is incredible and I cannot wait to see what she and Abigail will come up with next. As a female musician (piano), it so touches me to see women become more empowered in this field dominated by men. Great job, ladies! I will be buying that songbook VERY soon!

It's hard for her to sing Daphne's part live because she uses a breathy tone and so lets go of a lot of air at once. And yet she managed to keep up. How?? Abigail's voice truly is a wonder of nature
